8525 dpad and center buttons don't work. - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

My 8525 buttons on the bottom (below the screen) have stopped working. The two softkeys work, as do the call "green" and end "red" buttons.
However, the dpad and center buttons do not. I have searched the forums, but without any luck.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, info on phone in sig.

Is there more information I could give to get an answer, or has noone run across this?
Please don't tell me it's hardware.

Dpad problems

Hi all
I have posted this before but got no response. As stated before my Dpad is dead, cant navigate with it at all, and it does not register press. Did some experiments yesterday and it seems that when I reebot I can step one step and then i freezes. Very strange.
Tried with different ROMs and with differens smartskey conf, and without smartskey but no luck. Could someone point me in the right direction if I want to look in the registry? I have no clue, but I canĀ“t have the device with an non-functional dpad. Very anonying, cant choose contacts or anything. Also the red and green buttons are shakey, sometimes the green button doesnt answer a call.
thanks

press buttons and don't work

I'm getting annoyed of this. I'm having a hardware issue. When I press the green answer button, it doesn't work I tried remapping my softkey buttons so I can use my left softkey to activate phone. Just now, my left softkey doesn't work. I tried getting a edge of a notepad with a sticky side trying to grab the dirt if it is dirt. That didn't do anything. Anyone else sharing my pain and running out of button?

Haven't heard of this before! Do you actually see dirt around the buttons in question? How did dirt get there? When you press the green phone hardware button, the phone doesn't activate? Now the left softkey doesn't work? Are these the only buttons that don't work? What about the camera, voice record, comm mgr buttons? How long have you put up with your issue? Did this just start, or been going on for awile? It could be the result of corrupted 3rd party software installed that's giving you these problems. Have you installed any software pertaining to the phone ie: contacts, call history, etc. these kinds of software?

i've been flashing 15 different roms. All my buttons work except that one. I figure that the button just failed on me. My 1 yr warranty is over and I'm not sure HTC will do anything about this.

"Messages" button problem

I have "Messages" button broken on my Siemens SX66. Can I still upgrade to WM6?
I read the instructions for flashing the device, and it says "Press the "Mail" button" on part 6.3....
Can I avoid that somehow??
I have some more buttons broken: left, center, and ok... DOES ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THESE BUTTONS???
It's probably just worn out. The circuit board for the dpad/call buttons are smple leaf-style switches. The dpad on mine sometimes doesn't respond like I want it to.
That board can be found online for around 30 dollars US.
As for the home/mail/ie/ok button, those I don't know about yet (my ok button is a right pain to use).
You will be forced to open your device and upgrade your ROM when you can manually short-circuit mail button's contacts. At least you could find that it is only terribly dirty and after cleaning or checking cables it would start working again like my BA did.

Missing buttons!

Except from the problem with my gps not finding a position, that I have already stated and not solved yet, I discovered another problem with my Hp 6915. In the menu Settings->Personal-> Buttons, there's only Button 1 and Button 1 (press-n-hold) available. There are no other buttons to assign to programs. In addition, when someone calls me, pressing the green button doesn't answer the line. What's wrong? Could it be my software (rom)? Is there anything I can do in the registry to make the missing buttons appear?
