I stopped waiting.
Upgraded to 1.72.00WWE and 1.14 Radio from the Qtek rom
kept my Extended Rom (1.60.36)
The results is a 1.72 T-Mobile MDAII with all T-Mobile specific customizations intact !!!! 8)

T-Mobile 1.72.xxxWWE to be expected shortly
Currently there are only 1.72.00WWE (wwe=world wide english) roms for iMate and Qtek 2020.
As these device are technically identical to the )2 XDA2 and T-Mobile MDAII you can use those ROM's (with some handwork as explained on this site).
I asked T-Mobile NL about the availability of an official 1.72.00 update. Today T-Mobile stated they expect an update shortly.
This is promising as the T-Mobile NL ROM will definitely be WWE
Hello all,
i have a MDA compact and i flashed to a imate jam rom.. but now i want to flash it back to the origonal tmobile mda rom ( i have d/l'd the rom from the xda developer ftp).
all the guides here seem to be for german tmob mda or non mda devices.. isnt it easier if im just flashing it back to the origonal rom?
any help will be appreciated.

Hi it seems that Qtek and i-mate are a bit faster in coming out with ROMs. I was wondering if I could update my dopod 838 [WIZA100] with a Qtek 9100 or k-JAM [WIZA200] ROM, if I recall correctly the difference between the 2 models are the dopod has WiFi 802.11b and the Qtek 9100 and k-JAM have 802.11g. Aside from this is the physical appearance. Has anyone with a dopod 838 updated his/her device with a ROM from Qtek or i-mate?

2) Does WiFi work with a Qtek/k-JAM ROM?
3) Is the device stable? Any noticeable performance boosts?

Yep !! you can do that.
Actually I did try all ROMs and found out the the best (fast&stable) ROM is T-Mobile.

I was able to flash it to T-Mobile but I lost the Mono BT streaming so I decided to revert back to the dopod ROM. Also I noticed that CVC on both ROMs are a bit different. On my dopod it says: "say a command" with the T-Mobile version it just chimes. I'll play around with my dopod ROM for a bit longer then maybe I will play with the other ROMs as well.
I recently upgraded from wm5 to wm6.1. and my IPl/SPL are up graded to 3.08.

Your phone is a wizard?? (mda vario) then look in the windows mobile 6 section of the wizard forums.
There is a diamond rom for the wizard in there im sure.
Well, you do know that the Slim 4.0 ROM IS indeed a Diamond based ROM right? The other Diamond ones are not very different from it.
