Edit nbh header? - P3300, MDA Compact III upgrading etc.

Hello,
I wanna change operator string (example T-Mob**** > ERA)
Its possible?
I try Hexedit it, but flash utility say: "BAD MBH".
Nbh named ****_SIGNED.nbh.
How i can sign this file? it is possible?
PS: My artemis stuck in IPL\SPL.
And original rom not is avaiable.

You cant chnge the header as this file is signed with the certificate from htc - if you change it the signature doesnt match anymore and you get the error message.
The only way is the original rom or a matching WM6 update from your provider. If these are not available you have to send it to a servicecenter.

Extract files from extended ROM

Hey,
I have tries using er2003 to extract the files from o2's 1.72.187 extended rom but it says it cant access the image files the password I used to enter it was 0x20040305 but this may be incorrect hence the reason I cant access them.
Is this the correct code to use?
Is there any other software to extract the files from the extended ROM as I dont want to install all of it on my device.
Cheers.
use DumpRom (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=DumpRom)
just use ER2003Edit.
On the "file open dialog box" (the window that pops up when you choose File/open), on the bottom is a field "File Type" with 4 choices :
Auto detect, nk, radio & extended rom.
Default is Auto detect, but this does not work with extended rom.
Choose "Extended rom" as file type.

wrong NDF while uodating ROM

Hi,
I own a qtek 9100
While I was updating the ROM 2.17.17.02(that I downloaded from this website) I got an error " WRONG NDF"
Anyone knows what could be the problem?
FP
I suggest that you swap over to the "Wizard Upgrading etc" forum and start doing some basic research. The .nbf file contains a number of fies (OS, RAdio, Splash screens etc) all of which have a .nb extention. The .nbf file more than likely is packaged in some executable which is used to deploy it on your 9100. If you are getting a message saying wrong file then you are likely not using the correct ROM for your device or the file may be corruped.
Thank you for th esuggestion.
I went over the Wizard upgrade forum. It'a bit mixed up!
I donwloaded the 2.17.17..... ROM version.
when I install it, it stops at 85% and gives me a error message 326!
Any Idea?

possibility to edit NBH file to adpat your WM phone

Guys,
The header of NBH file contains CID and model ID. I want to see if revising the IDs would cheat the IPL to get the ROM flashed.
I have a ROM HTC.12.405.01_026790_WWE_SHIP.rar
The CID is HTC__001
The Model ID is ARTE1000
I guess the whole file has a checksum. So I tried to just revise "HTC__001" to "HTC__100". This was the only change I made to keep the checksum of the file.
When I tried RUU it gave me error[270] of corrupted ROM file.
My question is:
How is the IPL so smart to know the NBH is modified? Any place else has another double information of the ID?
Is it technically possible to revise the NBH file to adpat an Artemis phone??
Thanks for any answer.

The ROM file was signed with a signature, so any modification in the file will result in a mismatch with the signature. The file then will be considered to be corrupted.

packing a ROM

I need help, i have ready the first beta of my rom for HTC Opal to test, but i don´t know to pack it:
I have a BIN file and i need to convert it into a two files (00_OS.nb.extra and 00_OS.nb.payload) and convert it to (00_OS.nb) and finally make the NBH file (ruu_signed.nbh) to flash with the OpalCustomRUU.exe
