Bluetooth on ATT rom - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hey guys,
I recently upgraded my rom from the stock HTC rom to the ATT rom on a TyTN. I have a Motorola S9 bluetooth stereo headset. Before the new rom the S9 sounded great, but now it sounds like crap. Should I reinstall the new rom or get a new A2DP patch or what? I already have HTweakC and have changed the quality of A2DP but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a thought.. Why not drop the slow AT&T rom for something more grown up?
SEARCH for A2DP patch.

Legolas,
Which rom would you suggest?

Audio quality ok for you?

Is it just my phone, or is the audio quality of the Jamin borderline acceptable?
I have this phone for 4 days now, having previously used imate PocketPc + Win2003
The sound for incoming calls is often distorted and sounds like some bad VoIp connection. Very often i have to tell callers to repeat what they say, but they hear me fine.
My ROM version is 1.0.9.25
ROM date 01/09/06
Radio version is 01.14.20
(BTW how do you display the ext ROM version for this device? It doesn't come up in Device Information).
Would a ROM update help?
Would appreciate feedback
Thx.
Mine is quite good compared with my previous PDA phone (iPAQ 6315), clear and loud. I am pretty satisfied with it. Maybe you should update your ROM?
I am using XDA Neo with the lastest JAMin WWE Rom.

Universal & A2DP

Hello Guys,
Does any of you happen to know if HTC Universal supports A2DP (for Stereo Bluetooth headset), and if it does not support it, can it be patched WITHOUT flashing the whole ROM?
Thanx in advance!
Cheers
Yep the latest qtek rom adds A2DP, I am using it with the new nokia HS-12w
Thanx ice
Hello ice_coffee,
Thank you for your reply, I know now that it does support it (hardware wise), but do you happen to know if I can enable that without having to reflash the whole ROM, I use Orange ROM and I have some stuff that I dont want to lose (not data, I am talking about apps), so do you have any idea if I can just (some way) add this feature?
My 2nd question would be how long would you be able to listen to music before the battery goes dead?
Cheers Mate!

I would be interested in this as well.
I have tried VJvolubilis and also btaudio.zip but both only work for a few seconds and then voice speed dial kicks in and the audio stops :-(
Stu..

Sending audio via speaker

When I attache a wired headset (single earpiece) my audio always goes to the headset. Is there a way in which the rings can be heard in both the headset and the phone speaker? This would be useful if I don't have the earpiece in my ears. Thanks.
Depending on your ROM version
... is this known issue.
HTC has an official ROM (WM6.1) update on its support sites:
http://www.htc.com/de/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=59&act=sd&cat=all
But, of course, this only applies to the original ROM.
There you can also read about the bug that you roughly describe. Please compare before applying.
Hope it helps.
Kind regards from Switzerland
Thanks for this, but the problem is HTC has not released an official ROM upgrade for the Cruise released in India! So I cannot upgrade it officially to 6.1.

Transfer system sounds to Bluetooth???

Th HD2 is my 4th WM phone on all my previous WM Phones I ran a mortscript which I wrote to transfer all the system sounds over to my bluetooth car kit when it detected the kit...the script looked for the change in a registry key:-
> HKLM\System\State\Hardware\Handsfree
and then activated the BTAudioOn program...
Now this just does not work on the HD2! neither the registry change nor the Audio transfer - the sound still comes out of the phone speaker!!
I have read that a different Bluetooth stack is used on the HD2 (Widcomm)..
So does anyone know:-
1] Which registry key changes when a handsfree kit is detected?
2] A program that will transfer the sound to the Bluetooth device on the HD2?
Thanks...
Which ROM are you running ? On my NRG ROM which is a 1.66 based one i have the option in the BT settings under advanced to play system sounds on remote hands free device .
Comm Manager -> BT -> Settings -> Advanced -> Audio
Never checked on a pre 1.66 ROM if this option existed ..
I have a stock O2 version with 1.43 ROM, yes I found that option and turned it on but it doesn't work! I read somewhere that it only works for stereo devices? But def not working on mine :-(

Works fine for me on my Jawbone 2 BT headset .. I can listen to music over it no probs (albeit poor quality) .. Maybe upgrade to a 1.66 rom and see how you go with that..
Is it safe to upgrade a stock O2 HD2 to this version? What else will I gain? Is sense much different?
Can someone confirm that this Bluetooth issue will be fixed if I upgrade my ROM to 1.66 WWE. I have an o2 phone which currently has 1.43 on it.
When the phone rings the sounds gets re-directed to my Plantronics M3000 headset/Nokia CK-7W car kit fine...but the Play all system Sounds through Bluetooth device feature doesn't work...I can hear extra hiss through the bluetooth device like it is switching on but the sound still comes out of the phone speaker....

[Q] Best WP7 version for Bluetooth A2DP?

I have a stereo bluetooth headset (LG Tone) that I have been using with my HTC HD2. When used with Android, I get pretty good sound quality. However, in WP7 (I have tried two 7.8 ROMs) I get horrible sound quality with a hissing staticky noise. Anyone else have this problem and know a solution or a WP7 ROM that doesn't have this problem?
Thanks

check how many fast is your SD card (with WP Bench)... if lower than 6 MB/s change Sd card...
but unfortunately if you want good and no problems with A2DP you must buy original WP7 device... HD2 device not originally supported by WP7 and all drivers and settings developers make by own and still BT functions not working very well on HD2 with WP7
Ansar Rom works for BT A2DP.

That it does, and it's a fantastic ROM, but there's still absolute horrible sound quality through my bluetooth headset. It's a real pity, because Windows Phone is so brilliant otherwise, and it sucks to have to leave it over such a minor quibble...
