I have a fantastic O2 EXEC and I have istalled a JasJar Italian rom. At now all ok but I have some problem with some symbols: for example the slash / in original rom (and in my keyboard) is FN + o but in Italian jasjar rom is FN + 7. This is only 1 of many different position of symbols. Can you help me??

I assume you have the english qwerty style keyboard. Try this: you need a registry editor - HKey_Local_Machine\Software\OEM\Qwerty\ put in 66569 instead of whatever is there.
If this doesn't work for you then someone will have the number you need. I know the German qwertz kbd is 66567.

Hi, I have Dopod 838 with Chinese OS , But I have question of that ,
When I open the Slide Keyboard , Default Input Method is "Chinese Phonetic" , If want to Input English, I need press "Fn" + "OK" to switch Input Method to English , I tried change registry set to "Chinese Changjie" to Default Input Method, But still cannot change to "English Keyboard" ,
How to Change Chinese Dopod 838 Phonetic Hardware Keyboard to English Keyboard ? because I very useful for English Keyboard and Chinese Handwriting Method, Hope everyone can help me , Thanks !!
你好, 我是香港來的, 近來買了 Dopod 838 中文版 , 因為我經常用英文鍵盤和中文手寫, 但我有一個對我來說是一個嚴重的問題, 就是每次我一打開 Keyboard 的時候, "注音" 總是預設的輸入法, 每次都要按 "Fn"+"OK" 來調回英文來輸入, 可否設為 "英文" 為預設的輸入法 ? 謝謝!!

Install Resco Keyboard Pro
and Set "English" to Default , Then Soft-Reset
安裝 Resco Keyboard Pro
裝完後 Set "English" 去 Default , 之後 Soft-Reset 就得了~~

Greetings to you!!! I upgraded the Dopod CHT-9000 from Windows Mobile 2005 Chinese Rom OS to English Rom.
Then I change the Registry for QWERTY Keyboard Layout
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\QWERTY=20404 (Traditional Chinese
Settings)
All the Letter, Numeric and Symbol Keys are now normally & perfectly working except for the TAB Key.
By the way my Sliding Keyboard is
QWERTY Key Setup
Symbols starts with [email protected]/#1

I have the same problem. I'm using the latest TNT ROM. It worked on the last TNT ROM for me. I tried Schap's config. tool, but no change. It didn't work on my original English ROM either (Singapore Dopod 838PRO ROM) ANy one have any other ideas?

The one that compatible with diamond (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501407) is not good enouth as there is a need for an hardware-key-mapping..

I have download this version already to my HTC.
I see the virtual-keyboard both in english and hebrew (my first language).
My big problem is that I can't find a way to make my hardware-keyboard to work with that.. i.e. I can't find a way to map a key (for example) to change language from english to hebrew or the character "A" to "ש" (like "sh" in my language).
Is there a way to map the hardware-keyboard to use the virtual one ?

This is great! Should solve my problem on number keypad appearing out of no where.
Just 1 question, how to make this into my default keyboard? Seem that after reboot, it will go back to Qwerty KB.
Ok... found the answer to my own question. This will help to change default keyboard: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=977148&postcount=1. Delay sound be set 40-50 secs.

you need to select fingerkeyboard as the default keyboard in order for it to appear.
