Overdub? - P3600 General

There is a application on the Gigabyte PPC's called overdub.. it adds background noise to phone calls so the wife thinks you are at work and not the bar etc.
Is their any similar app for the trinity. it sounds prety cool.
Maybe someone can work on it.

disabled incoming calls??

Hi everyone! This is my 1st post here so hopefully all goes well
I have had my new magician (O2 XDA II mini) for a week now, and have been playing round installing software and stuff and seeing what this thing will do.
I have installed Pocket Informant and like it - mostly for the ability to set sub-tasks (child tasks). I looked at Agenda Fusion & didn't see this feature.
Other apps I've got installed are pocket breeze, wisbar, pocket artist, betaplayer, pocket music and total commander. But i'll be looking thru these forums to get other ideas of software to trial before I decide what I like best.
BUT... I have found a strange problem. Once PI has run, my incoming calls are muted until I soft-reset (no sound, no vibration). The only notification I get that a call has occured is a "missed call" tool tip.
I think I've proven it is PI by calling my fone before PI has run (ervything normal), minimizing PI (muted), and closing PI (still muted).
I haven't seen any mention of this problem on this (or other) forums but haven't been around for long... maybe its familiar to a regular in the forum...?
Should I look at another PIM program? (know any with sub-tasks?)
Should I look at a setting somewhere? In PI? In windows?
umm.. basically just "help!" :?
edit: see below but I'm looking at Wisbar....
check out the wishbar advance... maybe that is one of the problem!
yeah... I was just trolling through the forums and came across this... testing it out now... thanks!

T32 iPhone Clone Software

I'm about to take delivery of a T32 iPhone WinMo clone phone. Has anyone successfully extracted the software?
I have to be honest, they look really good. My wife may actually end up with a better iPhone clone than my Kaiser running iContact/iFonz/S2U etc !!

I did search XDA but couldn't find any clues. I'm particularly after the phone's equivalents of iFonz (shown simply as "Start" in the video) and the standby screen software. They must be out there somewhere?
The youtube video is just PointUI and some version of HTC's cube. I didn't check out the other video, but if that is what you're looking for both of those apps are freely available all over XDA and the web. Nice looking hardware though.
I have a Daxian x999+ (supposedly AKA the T32+)
From what I've read it can't be flashed.
You'll probably want to trash the iphoney launcher and use something like ifonz or winterface. The build in launcher blows chunks. (\Windows\launch.exe) The lock screen is pretty boring too, but I don't remember what it was called. Fish gross me out, i don't want to see them everytime I wake up my phone. lol
I use S2U2 or winterface's bulit in lock screen.
ok, but it only has GPS via Bluetooth.
a big screen an a accelarator, thats cool.
uncool is: no GPS, no 3G !!!!!
I'm using T32.
The phone is beautiful; but a bit larger/thicker than iphone. I'm not sure it can be synced via bluetooth or not because I cannot do it successfully (done this with other winmo w/o problem).
Can connect to ext. bluetooth gps, try with holux m1000.
It would be much better if it has 128mb ram rather than 64.
Pointui runs smoothly with icontact, minimal dialer......
My current setup on my x999+ is FunContact, Winterface, SMS-Chat, EyePhoto (I like the VITO apps!) along with Resco Keyboard and a few other doodads. Really loving the phone so far... so much that I'm considering selling my SideKickLX.
vito apps
you should get the vito keyboard as well it goes nicely with the color of everything. i like i but i have the slide out keyboard so i dont use that app much. Vito rulez
there is another t32 with gps + wifi, but price for 200mhz clone is too steep imho

What would you like to see in the perfect ROM

Hello ppl
I really love speed, I would love to turn my 614C on and be able to work with him right away.
I really don't care about manilas and shells, I like my old today screen with some big icons using SPB pocket plus and phone weaver...
What kind of things would you like to see in a cooked rom?
Hi,
Same here, no Manila nor CHome and/or other gimmicks. Just plain low-resource simpleness.
Good things to cook in are a decent GPS soft, a WORKING voice recording program (stil not found a good soft that records in 1 click/tap/button), replace Office with PocketNotepad, ....
Dirk
Decent GPS soft how? Are you talking about programs or drivers?
Voice recording, I really don't use it. I really would love a good "call by voice" software to use with bluetooth headset.
Replace Office? Why? Replace notes with PocketNotepad is one thing, replaca word/excel and PP isn't a bit extreme?

Hi,
GPS soft : VisualGPSce or Navio or the like
Office : honestly, i've needed it only once (1x !!!) since I use PDA. I started with an second hand h2210, then a new hx4700 and now a 614c. Which is mainly used for communication and navigation....
Dirk
VirtualGPS seems to be nice...
I would like to get some feedback from the other users that already voted...

[REQ] App that asks to launch program when wired headset plugged

hi.. i'm looking for an app that opens up a pop-up (much like the Connect To PC USBtoPC popup app bundled with TF3d) that would ask you (or automatically) what action the phone should do when it detects a wired headset plugged in. just like an app launcher..
i cooked up a sample mock up to prove a point.
the rest seems to be self-explanatory..
each field (play music, FM radio and run program) may/can be customized. position may/can be swapped. the default applications to launch may/can be customized (like if you don't use TF3d music tab, set it to a stand alone player, etc).. and an option to enable/disable Audio boost upon launch.
i wish i can make something like this but i'm not endowed with any programming skills.. so i'll just have to request for this..
TIA..
if there's nothing like this yet..
Im unfortunately not a programmer either, but id love an app like you described. It would be awesome to have audible player pop up when i plugged in my headset.
dschoenike
Great idea!
Would also love to see an app like this. Another great feature would be, if this program would also detect wireless headsets connected via bluetooth (and incidentally prevent Windows Media Player from launching automatically).
Google "mPlug", it's for Wvga but works for VGA too and you can choose your favourite program! When headphones disconnect, program closes. And G-Profile does that too, but I prefer mPlug for that task!

thanks teo.. that really helps quite a lot.. it's a nice little application and it does what it does..
tried it over night.. and i would say it's nifty.. but there's no way to override it's actions once you plug the headset unless you disable it beforehand.. which is kind of constricting on a user basis.. it won't give you much option.. you don't just plug the headset for one thing only, right?
i love the feature that it closes the run application when the headset is removed though..
You could make a mortscript with a multi-program launcher, and make it start upon connection... but don't think you can close it, thou...

[Q] [REQ] Built-In Voicemail app?

I Believe Nokia's old symbian OS had this software... where the phone itself becomes the answering machine.. and records people's voicemail and display it to you in a "Visual Voicemail" interface..
I believe it was due to Nokia's soundcard.... which was able to play songs off ur phone while ur talking to someone and they'll be able to hear it as well ... it plays through the mic.. or something..
Someone tried this on windows mobile... "personal secretary"? i think it was called.. but it only worked on certain phones... my Tytn nor my HTC Diamond was able to work it...properly
Anyways back to topic, now that i found out that my Vibrant is able to play music as well, while i'm on a phonecall........
is it possible to create the same app??
i'm willing to donate for the person who can achieve this...
So the question is.. how many of you would like to see this app as well
What are the benefits of this over TMo's Visual Voicemail app?
-bZj
I would rather have a service that works when my phone is off or out of cell phone coverage.
