Hi, I tried to unlock my Vario II yesterday, however I get a
"SimLock"
"You have tried 7 times, please wait until timeout" message.
So I still can't use it with another sim!!
Any ideas?

Hello All,
Recently acquired a T-Mobile MDA Vario, which I'm coming to grips with. Managed to unlock it using the very nice (and free) utility on here, however I don't seem to be receiving any text messages. I've read somewhere that the settings for this are part of the rom. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, how do I go about resolving this.
Is it worth installing a different rom (HTC or Imate)? Suggestions anyone?

Update - it would appear I can receive from other mobile users on the Orange network.
I spoke with Orange and they sent a sim update, to no avail. Could the loki unlock application have screwed my simcard?
All help/advice appreciated.
Hi people, i´have a problem with one of these machines. I unlocked 3 like this, but in this one, the unlocking progress end correctly but always said on the display when i put a simcard " datablockig, contact your service center"
Anybody knows anything please?

I have just got an o2 mini s (HTC Wizard) from work. When trying to use my Orange sim card in it the phone will boot and I can make/receive normal calls.
When trying to send SMS or change the Phone settings I get the message: "Phone is not ready please wait 15 seconds" continually.
Does this indicate that the phone is locked to o2 or not and needs an unlock code - or anyone have any other ideas?
I have tried googling/searching for similar issues on Orange with the Wizard but there doesn't appear to be a clear answer.

No this does not indicate anything. I had this problem before.
Try this::
Go to comm manager and turn on flight mode and then turn it right back off. Wait untill your phone re-acquires a signal and then try sending a text again.

Hmmm. That worked for me. Try using lokiwiz ver.02b to sim unlock the device and then look for network wizard to configure the network settings to your new carrier.
orange SMS problem
did you ever get your problem sorted ??? I have exactly the same problem with my T Mobile Vario, unlocked and working fine for calls on Orange SIM, but same mesage as you are getting for texts. Geoff

all sorted just load a new radio rom the faria one from here ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Radio_Roms/ wait about 10 to 15 minutes and the system will update its self and say that the settings are not correct for the service provider. Hit update settings and all working. Can now use waht ever rom i want as well.
Been trawling around this and other forums for an answer to something thats been bugging me for almost a week.
I have t-mobile mda i bought off a chap a week ago. I knew it wasn't sim unlocked but was ok with that. I went thru the usual lokiwiz procedure and got the unlock code. The only problem is that i get this message when i stick a sim in: You have tried 10 times. Please wait for retry.
I have had the mda on for more than 3 days and the message is still there.
The mda is a G4 wizard, and i used lokiwiz 0.3b
Any suggestions, anyone?

Is it ok for the IMEI on my phone screen to be different to the one printed under the battery?
I have had this phone from new, as it was an upgrade, and I had unlocked it to use on O2, instead of T-Mobile.
A few months ago, the phone went funny, and I re-installed the ROM. A few days later, it stopped recognizing the O2 sim card, and now only takes T-Mobile or Virgin cards.
I have tried the xda-unlock softwares, but no luck.
Could anyone out there please help me out????
