UK O2 Orbit stuck on boot

Following instructions from another thread on this forum, I now sadly have an unusable Orbit - it hangs on the blue boot screen.
After reading everything I can find that is applicable to my problem in this forum, I assume the following things:
1) It's impossible to unlock the phone using imei-check from the bootloader screen. (I already paid for this too, damn it)
2) Because my phone's still locked, the only way to recover the phone is by flashing with an official rom
3) The official uk o2 rom is not available
4) I'm going to have to wait until WM6 comes out
I rang up O2 and they were very unhelpful with the matter.
Please, if anybody can help me, I would be most grateful!

I guess my assumptions are correct then!
Hope O2 UK bring out a WM6 update soon.

Well, if you have paid for imei-check unlock code, get in touch with them and I am sure they would unlock the phone and possibly give you a credit for the (unused) code you have.
I was in the same position and imei-check saved my life (well not quite, but you now what I mean)
Unless you can wait for the ROM . . . . .imei-check is one possible solution.

Well, I asked them, and they kinda flamed me back:
"As you read on the web site before you purchased the unlocker REQUIRES A WORKING ACTIVE SYNC CONNECTION"
In other words, no, you cannot unlock from the boot loader.
So I guess I shall have to wait for O2 to release a firmware upgrade.

What kind of unlock are you trying to do?
CID unlock - software
SIM unlock - carrier
You can HARDSPL to CID unlock your phone.
Unfortunately, there is no SIM unlock option available at this time on XDA. You can either google "IMEI check" and go thru them, or if you have a Tmobile account that's been active for a few months, you can call them and ask them to unlock your phone.

I dont know whether we have to go with CID unlock - software or
SIM unlock - carrier.
Right now I am in US and I want to use the mobile in India

What you have to do is Sim Unlock it, because I'm assuming there is no T-mobile in India...

you have a wing but you don't have a tmo sim? what?
Use a paid service. You'll have to know the IMEI number (easy enough)

HD2 Unlock, PLEASE HELP I NEED HELP.

I have recently Got a HTC HD2 Wich is Locked to Tmobile,
Along time ago i was here with some XDA's and over the years have done alot of phone unlocks,
But i have NO idea how to unlock his phone, Im guessing i need to flash the firmware and so on, and Update a Rom.
But i really need your help. Can somebody tell me how this is possible without paying for an Unlock Code.

have to buy a code or get one from your carrier using IMEI number...no other way...use the search function...many threads on this already...

there is no free unlock. youmust buy one. plenty of websites, or on ebay, selling unlock codes.

maybe if he asks a third time, we'll give him the magic unlock code!!!

After updating X8 with FROYO, can't unlock sim card with code???HELP

I buy my self new Xperia X8 - locked in UK (O2). But before I try to unlocked, I update it with Foryo v20. Now I want to put unlock code, but I don't find where to write it.
I never try to unlock phone and need some help, please.

What do you mean unlock? can you be more specific?

I mean that I can't use this phone in Bulgaria with other operator.
Is locked for use only with O2.
The problem is that i can't find where to put "unlock code" with Frpyo Rom.

I registered in the site code, but I see no reason to pay for the code if a can't put it - as per their instructions.
I think I found in stalemate position.
I only need to know how to get to the introduction of the code !?

This happened before the change of the Rom.
Now with Froyo - this option missing, and this is exactly my problem

You can go to the secret menu and enter the code.

Hey,I got a t-mobile HD2 off amazon a new one. It's locked to T-mobile.How can i unlock it to work with other network's?I know i shud type a unlock code or whtever by paying some amount...but i am very tight on budget.. How can i unlock it for free?

If you are not on tmobile, ask someone on these forums who is to get an unlock code for you. You just have to give them your IMEI and wait for 24-48 hours.
I would do it for you but I only get one unlock every 90 days and I recently did one.

oh! I shud still get the phone.....estimated delivery date is august 24th. I heard there is something like we need to flash a SSPL and then it would be unlocked! I will give the IMEI as soon as i receive my phone! Please help me!!

SPL has NOTHING to do with carrier unlocking. You can do it stock if you want. Flash a different SPL if you want a custom ROM, WP7, or Android (without loading WM first).
carrier unlocking is done only by putting in a foreign SIM, then putting in the unlock code generated by tmobile.

SO now could you explain me clearly wht should i do to unlock it?? Can i just flash another SPL and then flash android and then i twill be unlocked???

Like I said, carrier unlocking has NOTHING to do with your SPL or which OS you have flashed. It is done with the unlock code generated by T-Mobile. They will do it for free for anyone who has an account with them and has not unlocked a device for 90 days or more (which is why I can't help out).
I'm sure someone in these forums would be willing to help you out.
