Good afternoon,
since yesterday I can receive any e-mail by wi-fi or 3G and I can see the attachments (i.e. Word, Excel, Jpeg, Pdf...), I can read the name, the extension (i.e. Kb size) BUT I cannot open such attachments and I only receive a message: IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE ATTACHMENT (for Italian people "è impossibile visualizzare l'allegato").
I dont' know what's the matter and at HTC support suggested to me to proceed with a hard reset...
Can anyone hel me?
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
I want to send pictures from my QTek 2020 to a Sony-Ericsson T610 mobile phone...
I can receive MMS-messages without any problem, but when I send pictures, my friend always get an error "Unsupported picture format".
I checked my resolution and changed that, but whithout any result.
I asked my friend to send a pic with his phone and noticed that the pic-format is a GIF-file (and not a JPG, like I'm sending).
Does anyone has a solution for this problem? Or does anyone has a JPG to GIF convertor? I can't take pictures in GIF-format...
Thanks for helping me!
Sam

Hi Rudegar,
Thanks for your reply!
I checked your link but you can read this "Use HandStory Converter on Windows for easy and convenient conversion of texts and images from your PC or the Internet."
There are lots of tools on PC to convert images, I do have enough of them, but I need to convert them on my PocketPC to send them as a MMS.
More suggestions?
Thanks again!
Sam
here are a few results from google searching for
Image editor pocketpc
because when you can edit then you can save and when they support different formats then you can often save AS a different format

Hi friends,
(1)
I'm wondering why i cant receive Business Cards from other mobiles (Such as Nokia) via SMS ?
(2)
I'm wondering how to send a contact and/or Business card from my address book to other device (PPC or mobile) via SMS or Bluetooth?
Thanks for your advises.

YA
Hi,
you cant send nor receive Business Cards withot a program like "Kai's vCard Manager" or "µ-SMS".
vCard link: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=10040
µ-SMS: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=3164
I'm using vCard and working great, just remember to install it in the default
place not storage card, other wise u will get error message when soft reset.

ksasat
Thanks, looks fine.
I feel kinda silly.
I have two problems which I am not sure how to fix...
I have contacts, in my BA, that are in Greek (names, addresses and so on). I also have events in my calendar which are in Greek.
I have the latest activesync and Outlook 2003
Now, when I sync, all the events come over BUT the ones in greek are not in Greek! They are in gibberish! Then when I sync again, the data on my BA becomes gibberish! Is there anyway to fix this problem?
The second problem is this:
When I get an SMS from people using non windows mobile phones (Nokia and SonyEricsson seem to be the most used) and when someone sends me an SMS in Greek, it seems that characters, that are not existent in other latin languages, get dropped from the message, and in their space there is a blank spot.
So for example (all caps) if someone sends me:
Alpha Pi Omikron Sigma Tau Omikron Lamda Eta Sigma
(sorry the board did not accept the unicode)
I would get
A O T O H (because those capitals letters are common in both latin based alphabets and greek alphabets).
Any idea how to fix this?
Thank!
a question to the experts:
When I send MMS, then I choose my contacts to send to from the address book, it come out like this "name" <number> but it wont send, I have to edit it and just place the number only for it to send, meaning, choosing contacts from the address book is useless, coz you cant edit it fom the MMS ap, you need to memorize the number and input it manually.
------------
Edited, sorry I notice I accidentally wrote on our local language, all translated to english already
Any1 has this problem?
hello? Anobody there?
Update to everyone one!! My problem is solved. contacts with characters aside from letters will give you the problem, for example i added (^_^) on my wifes contact name and this was the culprit, apparantly all the MMS ive send included her on the list, today I send an MMS to a person aside from her and it send without problems
Hi,
I've looked though the forum and could not see an answer so apologies if this has been asked before!
I can happily send and receive email using my 3rd party email servers. No problems.
But when I attached a picture file say from the storage card and the phone tries to send it takes about 30sec and then says the 'The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that you account information is correct' even though there is signal.
If I remove the attachment the message goes.
It a Vodafone X1 with ROM version 1.03.161.7
Any ideas?
Paul.
dunno, the only thing i can think of is the attachment is probably too big. try sending a small notpad file or something first to test it out.
