you misunderstand, i am asking for the settings for my universal/ jasjar/ spvm5000 not the trinity/ p3600....
i know, they work on any wm5/6 phone, htc just happened to make it 'for' the trinity.
Can you, please post this or send it to my email since the download on HTC's site is not working.
Thanx
Please tell me weather I may change the ROM with anyother providers like i-mate or orange???
Also weather i can upgrade my VODAFONE v1640 to WM6???
I have recently got it as a gift and i am beginner user of PPCs but not of smartphones....
I have an Orange SPV M700 which I've unlocked, CID-unlocked and flashed to the LVWS Windows Mobile 6, and am using it on the British O2 network (on a contract, not PAYG)
I can't use GPRS or MMS features on it though, as it's not setup.
I've tried the O2 website which doesn't list it, the O2 shop (which claims it is unsupported) so I'm stuck. Curiously, they don't even have the settings for the XDA Orbit (Artemis) either.
So, does anyone know what settings I need to use?
try doing a search for "o2 gprs" in
networking forum
it's been asked and answered there before
.. or go to the HTC Website, and look in the downloads section- they have a downloadable app with all the UK settings.
I have an XDA Exec on O2, but want to put an Orange SIM card in it.
I was told there is a CAB on this forum for the orange settings for the XDA exec but cannot find it anywhere, does anyone know where it is?
Thanks in advance
If you want, you can just put the SIM into the phone, the .CAB won't have anything you need to use the Orange service. XDAs are all unSIMlocked so you don't need to unlock it either.
What is it specifically you want out of the .CAB?
GPRS/WAP settings can be found on Google, and the color schemes are pretty nasty lol
I have created this new thread as I have searched several days now trying to get vodafone live working on my telstra htc hd2 with no luck. I have contacted customer support on 1555 to send me the setting via sms but i never got it. I have also gone to the australian vodafone website to get the wap setting via sms but my screen just briefly lights up but doesn't show that any sms has been recieved hence i can't get the correct settings. I have also tried manual set up instructions on the vodafone web site but they do not work as well since it asks for passwords etc. I found a thread before talking about vodafone live on this website but it is based on the new zealand web site and assumes that you have got the correct vodafone wap setting etc which is what I cannot get no matter what I try.
Does anyone now how to get vodafone australia wap setting on the htc hd2 and hence get vodafone live working on the telstra htc hd2 handset. Instructions right from the very start would be really appreciated.
Sorry I cannot be of more assistance, but in case you don't hear anything in this thread, try posting in the T9193 thread in this forum (search button will help you find it.) Though, it's dominated by Americans importing the phone
Hi, I've had my hd2 working on vodafone (sim is now in my Desire) . Even with the telstra rom your apn settings should be automatically set when you insert the sim. If you don't have any luck then you might need to flash the rom (and rid it of the bloatware).
First you need to flash an older Telstra rom from shipped-roms.com (1.46). Then you will be able to use hard spl (hardspl.exe), then flash any rom and radio from this fine website. I personally like ozrom or artemis. These roms will automatically set your apn and work.
If you can't be stuffed and know where to update the settings:
apn... vfinternet.au
No username or password.
For vodafone.mms try
Apn…live.vodafone.com
Mmsc...http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend
Mms proxy...10.202.2.60
Port. 8080
Mcc.. 505
Mnc.. 03
Apn type.. mms
Authentication .. not set
These are straight from my fone.
