Hi,
I'm trying to be able to read a .au file which is NeXT/SUN audio (.AU/.SND) file.
I found no application able to read that kind of audio file
I specify that they are files that I receive directly on my PPC via mail (this a voicemessage receive on my home phone) and that I don't have the possibility of converting them into .wav or .mp3 on a PC.
Does somebody have an idea?

Dont know of an app that will play au file on pocket pc. I do know jetaudio player will play it on pc and you should be able to convert it to a format you can play on ppc.

Try core pocket media player site http://corecodec.org/ they have many plugins for this ppc player but not au i think.

They are direct in Windows, i'm using Lite one.
I somehow messed up my media player on my wm5 6700 from sprint. I have the ext rom open but don't know how to re-install the windows media player. I don't need anyone to send me a copy of it (unless you want to) I just need instructions on how to retrieve it from the rom without doing a hard reset. Thanks in advance!!

You can't do it directly.
Windows Media player are stored in ROM (Read Only Memory), so it can't be deleted.
Yes, you can try to make a custom ROM without Windows Media files.
But this needs some experience and skills.
