I have version 1.3 of this program but it is NOT working on my Cingular 8125. Reading through the forums, I found reference to the fact it won't work with WM5. Is this still true of version 1.3?
Could there be another program interfering with this? What kind of program would it be? I am relaly lost here because people told me how great this program was and that it worked, but it is NOT working.

Dear Zendrui,
Firstly thanks a lot for providing such a tremendous utility, it is what I have been searching for a long time and finally i got it . Thanks again !!
However, I encountered a problem and has no way out. I have already installed "caller2picture" utiity in my XDA2. This is a software which can assign specific ringtone for different contact. Originally it worked fine, but after i installed the PZP , the Caller2picture cannot work anymore.
Can you guide me a way how to solve this issue ? or any recommendation for other similar function software which can work with PZP ?
Regards/ skkao

I have not used one before, but my brother-in-low is using MS Voice Command and he is very happy with it.
Thanks a lot to everybody
First of all, thans for your help.
I tried those programs but I found some problems, they don't work properly on my machine and the language (English only) is other limitation.
But I found an other one (Fonix VoiceDial) that works quite well and is ready for several idioms, for example Spanish (mine) or "something similar ", furthermore it´s able to read the names from the contacts of Outlook an it's not necessary to record every item.
If anybody is interested on it, get a free demo here:

Having read the buzzdev tips on skinning your dialer, I wondered if anyone out there is creating cab files that can be installed more simply? For a real novice, the steps on Buzz's site are scary
Alternatively, is anyone producing phone program that runs better than the WM5 version - it seems flaky to me, but then I'm not smart like you lot! Any help?

I'm with you here. I am using Cingular and I noticed that the phone can't seem to read my stored SIM phone numbers using the corporate mode, which basically means I have to type them all on contacts or either setup speed dial options. The first time I boot-up, I believe I used basic, although I did not notice the slowness maybe because I came from a slow TH55/E1 processor, the phone was able to read my stored SIM numbers.
Hi,
I used to use Dial Up Networking to access TomTom plus services on my Go 910 through my Hermes, but as we well know, MS has replaced this feature with ICS as of AKU 3 onwards. I'm now using WM6 and don't want to go back.
I found this blog on MSDN. Apparently DUN may reappear in WM6 .... one day ... if the operators choose to include it...
http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2007/04/17/why-did-we-remove-bluetooth-dun.aspx
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had looked into ways to port DUN from a pre-AKU 3 version of WM5 into WM6. Is it just a bunch of dlls a few registry settings, or is this functionality very intertwined in the OS and hard to transport?
I don't want to duplicate work, so if anyone has looked into this already please let me know. Also let me know if you think this would be a worthwhile project. If no one else has done this, I'd be happy to give it a try.
Thanks

It can't be hacked on the Registry level - see my related remarks in my article on all these q's.
That is, simple registry hacking won't work.
Thanks. Your very good article answers most of my questions. (not what I hoped to hear unfortunately).
One thing is still not clear in my mind though: Is this functionality solely a dependency of the (upgraded) MS BT stack and not the OS itself? If so, is it available in, say, the Widcomm stack and could one get DUN functionality back on a WM6 ROM by using the Widcomm stack instead of the Microsoft one?
I can't seem to find a console app that works on my Athena (WM6). None of the old tricks (reg edit) seem to work for getting pocketcmd to run. Has anyone else found a solution?
What do you need a cmd for on a ppc ?

I was looking for something also and a buddy mentioned a product to me but I got busy with work. I'll most likely get back on looking for this in another week or two when work slows a bit. I haven't found one that works well yet.
you can install python, its very easy language and it will give you most things you need and more...
