Hi,
just hard reset and setup my xda in corp mode. I installed the GPRS cab but still have no mms option in my outlook. Last time i installed in corp mode i had mms so what have i missed?
cheers
Hello,
I had this problem too. There are 2 solutions :
- hard reset again
- download the 2 cab (EnableMMSDRM.CAB and Shorcut-MMS1-Java5xx-CyberonVoice-CV-04Nov05.CAB)
See this post for more infos
easier to do the basic install and manually remove the two O2 icon from \windows\startup. you get the mms install then

Yes that is true but for some reason for me I have alot of problems when running personal and basic mode? In corp my XDA works fine with no hang-ups or anything.... strange?
P.S
i now have mms working just installed the correct cab file.
cheers
I am extremely disappointed with the latest AKu2 rom upgrade from Qtek.
Hoe can they make such an oversight as to not have an MMS folder on the device?
I've tried all of the above on the latest Qtek Rom 2.17 and still no MMS folder.
SOMEONE HELP!
Hi all,
I had some problems sending email from my Polaris with Google IMAP account.
I sent an email and found that it never passes leaves my outbox and remains there indefinitely.
I found a hotfix for windows mobile which pretty much defines the problem and seems to solve it:
Windows Mobile 6.1 Hot Fix for Sending POP and IMAP E-mail
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d9d71b2e-d2dd-44f2-86e5-1e53aad7fb7a&displaylang=en&tm
I tried to install it but i get the following error message: "this update cannot be installed on this version of Windows Mobile. Current 6.0 AKU .1.5.0 Build 19214 Platform 2"
I remember this can be "triked" when I installed some bluetoot and Camera hotfixes released by HTC. Now I tried again changing the AKU registry with .0.4.5 under HKLM\System\Versions\Aku
But this time that does not seem to be enough.
I still get the following error with the new (changed AKU value): This update cannot be installed on this version of Window Mobile. Current 6.0 AKU 0.4.5.0 Build 19214 Platform 2"
Do you have any idea on how to solve it?
Thank you!!!
Juan MAnuel
U don´t need on Windows mobile 6.0 apply this update...
Set correctly google mail, this update doesn´t solve your problem...

Thanks for your answer, actually my OS is Windows Mobile 6.1 from PDAVIET. but it is shown as 6.0. may be that is the reason why this plugin is rejected.
Any other hint?
Thanks!

OK, you wrote Win 6.0... For me works good this SMTP fix - try it
Thanks for the answer and the file.
This one installed smoothly.
Email has been running fine since 6 hours ago.
I'll keep using it for a couple of days and then post the result.
Best Regards,
JM
You are welcome
Hi again.
After installation everything went ok for more than 2 days. But later, it showed the same behaviour "could not connect to SMTP server"...
I found under "Program Files" a folder named "TnMMailFix" with a text file in it only showing TnMMailFix. Does it have any functionality, did I missed to configure something else?
Thanks Again for your help.

JM
I have been dealing with imap issue for days now. I have two gmail accounts on my tilt and both has stopped working all of a sudden. I keep getting "Can not connect to incoming server". It seems to get stuck on receiving headers. Weird thing is, some of the mail comes through eventually. I have checked my settings over and over again and they are perfect. I have applied the windows hotfix for 6.1 but still no good. I have even applied the home brew version that came out prior to it and still no good. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
hi,
You can try to install the solution in post #4 from Petulinek.
After installation I modified the registry HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings\Operator and change the text in OutgoingServer to your smtp server...
This has worked for me...

JM
Actually I found a hotfix directly from Microsoft. In some customized ROMS (my case) it does not install because of different AKU. I managed to change this in the registry: HKLM\System\Versions\Aku, change the value to .1.0.2 and that will allow the hotfix to be installed.
I tried this trick today, and will track for how long I'm able to send email with my Gmail account.

I had this exact issue over Christmas and New Year, what I finally did to fix the issue was remove my e-mail addresses and add them again. Every thing works now!
Believe me, you will do it at least 03 times/week
SMTP server still does not work after MS Fix
Hello everybody,
I am still unable to send mail from my HTC TYTN II. i intalled the MS Fix (twice) but I was unable to get a singel mail out.
ROM 3.28.407.0 GER
ROM: 05/02/08
has anbody an idea what I can try ??
thanks Michael
Either it is not signed with a trusted certificant or one of its components cannot be found. if the program persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.
Why am i getting this error? when i had the stock rom for tilt 2, i didn't get any error, is it because of this rom i have? is there any way to fix this?
I'm trying to set up my hotmail.
try setting up gmail or something first and then go back and setup hotmail...seems to work for me
that would work too..also found a link that will have a work around.
thank you very much! the link worked perfect!
im still having problems seting it up. does anyone know if theres a cab for this somewhere?
Try here!
http://wl.windowsmobile.com
Hope this helps.
I had the same prob. I downloaded windows live from MS and installed it. After that, hotmail and everything else installed correctly
How did you install it?
I still get the error about "not digitally signed with a trusted certificate" on my T-Mobile US HTC HD2. I downgraded my SPL and added the hspl. After that I flashed to the cell series EVO rom. At first I can install anything, and then after a few hours I get the error. Maybe the hard reset, or even installing marketplace is messing with it. I've tried a signer program, but it didn't work. I've also installed the new certificates and still nothing. Sorry for creating a new thread, but please help!
Based on my ssl secured exchange direct push experiecne you will need to install the actual certificate for the cab/server and if it is not a class1 certificateyou will need to install the root (class 1) certificate for it. Because you weren't clear with the exact details of your problem i'm only speculating as to what the problem is. Although i have just thought that if this is related to installed apps on to the device try copying them to the SD card and installing them from the device itself.
I'm new to all of this. As clear as I can get it, this stupid phone won't let me install apps after a period of time. Right after I flash the rom it prompts me with a yes or no, but later it goes straight to refusing to allow me to install. Its like apple's 3.1.3 and I lost my jail break or something! It says they aren't digitally signed. As far as installing the stuff, I don't know how. Any direction?
still cant install
I've been thinking about this and i can't come up with a reason as to what might cause it. So questions.
1) are you trying to run the cab files from on pc or directly on the phone?
2) Is it a specific cab file that you are using to this with or do you use any random one.
3) if you try to install app via activesync (.net compact framework 3.5 for example) does it install?
TMOUS devices actually have their own special board (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=631) it may be worth having a look there and asking. It may also been worth trying a different rom from the ones you have tried. The energy series of roms seems to be very popular and i'm trying it out for my first custom rom. No problems at all yet and it does work very well.
Can you Help
I have had my HD2 for 2 days now and have only just today tried activating my hotmail and facebook accounts. with no prevail.
i was told by another member of XDA to check out my certificates;
well i have no certificates at all except for the root 1's, i dnt seem to be able to add any either. im well n truely a noob when it comes to the HD2 and its stressing me out hard
can any1 please help
any help would be much appreciated
thanks tom
I'm using this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272&page=335 and i have some problems installing a .p12 certificate.
I already asked on the rom thread but i have a feeling that nobody has this problem so i decided to post this here:
"I'm having problem installing a .p12 wifi cerificate with this rom. After asking the password and which certificate to install (vpn or wifi), right after i click "ok", it says "certificate not installed". I must say that this certificate works perfectly with stock rom (never verified myself but a friend of mine says so) and the problem seems limited to this custom rom. Is there any way to install the wifi certificate correctly on this rom?? Btw i need this cerificate for work so unless there's a workaround i'll have to switch back to stock."
Can anyone help me??
