call your service provider and ask for an unlock code. Depending on your location, they may or may not be obligated to do it.

I'm getting a Magic but I'm going to be using it in the states. I don't have Rogers though so tupisdin told me to give him the IMEI to see if he could unlock it but if he can't I'm going to need a subsidary unlock code. Luckily they are free if you if you have Rogers so if you do and are willing to request one for my Magic, please pm me on here.
