USB Charging, is it crap?

Ive alwas charged my XDA II usin the USB cradle. Its about 3 or 4 years old i think
i bought a Safecom SD Wifi card for it, but im having problems with it.
the card seems to work for about 2 minutes then it looses its IP address
The activity light on it flashes for a bit then that goes to.
Im wondering if it is a battery problem , ie i need a new one or if i just need to give the battery a good mains charge?
Anyone know?

usb connector broken

hi. is there someon in germany, austria or italy who is able to repair my
polaris?? the mini-usb connector is broken, I can not charge the battery or
get any connection.
I have found only one address who offer to repair the usb connector, but I do not want to send my polaris to USA to get the service.
please help if you have some tips or ideas.

Sorry I can't help you, just wanted to say a had the same problem twice - fortunately my provider replaced the hardware without problems.

Broken Mini USB
I just had this same problem with my Cruise. It is only 4 months old and I sent to HTC for warranty and they wanted to charge 400 to replace the motherboard and usb plug. They claimed it was abused. They need their heads examined.
HTC has bad customer service and warranty.

Hi Brunner, you might want to try http://www.mobilephonerepairs.co.uk/home.asp . They are based in London, UK and sending to/from Germany was no problem for me. Just mail to [email protected], explain your issue and ask for a repair price quote.
So far I have only bought a replacement LCD from them and not used their repair service - but will do so next week. Anyway, they were friendly and supportive, and the LCD arrived in good condition and well packaged. Overall a very good impression.

i have some expirience with HTC repair, and can say that the most problems in HTC are in main board - very unstable connections with chips and pcb.
try to tense unit left and right side while usb is connected.
one more - switch off unit (take off battery and pull in) and connect adapter - i am sure in this mode charging will go - this is separate chip doing this automaticly ,but when processor running can sw it off. Stay 1-2 hours and battery will go full.

to romensat: thank also for your , but it is so, that I am not able to connect the usb cable at all, because the little plastic peace into the connector is broken out an some pins are damaged.

I've bought a cheap Nokia usb calbe that is working for data transfer on my X8 but is not chargeing battery. Phone shows chargeing but nothing happens and more than this after 1 hour of "chargeing " battery is with 2-3 % low.
I don't understand why... as long as I can transfer files through it why doesn't charge ??!??

It could be the Nokia cable causing it. Try to get a SE cable instead

i got original nokia cable. Its very thin but it works with both data transfer and charging

I charge x8 with Nokia USB cable (from Nokia 5310)

Install the Sony Ericsson PC suite. Or whatever it is called. That should install the drivers that allow you to charge your phone.

Let me be clear: the icon shows the phone is charging but is not like this.... I've replaced the original card with a bigger one and I didn't copied anything from old one ,so maybe a good idea to reinstall pc companion (DID IT BUT NO CHANGE ) .
Also other problem since I've replaced card: I receive a message at few minutes interval "database could not be found Email sinch has been disabled" how can fix this?

I had the same problem with that cable

buy SE cable

i use the x8 cable to charge my nokia phone
it works

I have original SE cable at home but due to excelent battery performances I need to charge phone everywhere :in the car ,at the office (here I have this nokia cable) .
Since is a cable is hard to understtand why transfer of the data is working and charging NOT.
Also I haven't solved yet the problem with that message : database could not be found Email sinch has been disabled
Anyone ?

Charging from the PC? maybe your pc usb does not have enough power to charge the phone.

My bad experience with RMA

I thought to share my bad experience with RMA and Czech Wistron InfoComm, s.r.o.(this is the service partner). First i send my tab and docking with few problems: Data cable dont work, the screw loose etc. A repair takes 29 days.
When it come back i try charge my tab and oops, it doesn't work. I sent back again to service and the rapair takes again 6 days. And again i try at home to charge my tablet and didn't work again. Now it 12, June and i cant use my tablet since May 2.
So be careful with the Czech service.
If anyone from hungary can sell me a usb cabel for the transformer please PM me.

My experience with czech service was actually good. In a week i got the tablet repaired and working (new mainboard and usb cable). Plus the new usb cable they sent me is bigger so i actually am really happy with their service.

[Q] F320L/S data connection problem after LG update!

I bought the lg g2 F320L/S for the removable battery and the sd card slot, its quad band lets me use a straight talk micro sim (at&t). I got it to do college on and finaly use my Post 911 GI Bill. Ive had no problems with it, and becouse of when i bought the phone, i knew i would have to do a few months worth of kit kat LG up dates, and so did them at my leisure, but after did the (december i think) update for the phone it did its normal download and restart process as useual, but now i cant get data with my service. Im on wifi rite now just to send this to you. I did the January updata with wifi, hoping it would fix the problem but it hasnt helped. I even did the factory reset, and i still cant get any data. I can send and receive texts and phone calls just fine.
I think its because of the up date but i did charge it for a night with a random charger. Because its the sk, it uses 220v and came with a 220v wall plug, so ive just been using the usb cord it came with and my computer to charge it, and the night before i noticed it i had to use a random micro usb charger (not the LG micro usb it came with..) and some random 110v usb outlet plug. I wasnt home and badly needed to charge it.
Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my $700 phone?!?!? Anything anyone can tell me would greatly appreciated! Thanks
