please help me to unlock my T-Mobile

I have a locked T-Mobile and I am in the middle-east
I have the serial cable and I can sync my pocket pc phone Edetion ( T-Mobile ) without problems & I downloaded the XDA manipulator
I followed all the steps but it didn't work. The program couldn't detect my T-Mobile. I don't know wath could be the problem
Please could anyone help me

If you are sure you have a serial cable, the problem might be that some other program, possibly even ActiveSync, is keepin the COM port open. So kill ActiveSync or tell it to leave the port alone, and then try again.

Yeap, this was a problem for me, I uninstalled Active sync and unlocked it faster than you can say (insert something corny here).

Just wanted to check. Do you have it in bootloader mode?

the steps i do as follw
1-start my pc
2-wait tel all programs loaded to the pc
3-disable all programs so to be sure that no eny program using com port
4-reset my device by the heding botton botom side ( using the pen)
5- making soft reset from the top botton
6-conecting the seril cable to the device
7- runing the program
non respons( give the same result) conecting to host and then disconect

These steps have to happen at the same time! In other words: hold the on/off button pressed while performing a soft reset (using the big hole on the bottom left).

Upgrade without usable Mail button

Hello
I want to upgrade my MDA3 from WM2003se to WM06.
After i have read the upgrade artikel, i have seen, that im must change this
"Enable KITL” must be NO, “Clean Registry Hive” must be YES, “Format Storage” must be YES"
And here is my problem, my 4 buttons (Mail, Explorer, Windows, ok) in front of the MDA are Defect. So i can´t confirm the Options.
Are ther other ways to do this.

PS: I know my english is very bad

Logically if you map the mail button to any of the top buttons, that should work as BA still keeps the entire software prior to pressing mail button. However an expert should confirm. Dont take risk.

Hi there ... I have the same kind of problem with my O2 XDA IIs Blueangel. The mail button along with the other 3 (home,ie,ok) are not working or not responding anytime.I was not able to upgrade my rom and format the registry hive
But then i found a much simpler way to do it..
Try the following to format your rom,clear registry hive and upgrade to a new rom-all this even with the mail button not working.
You will need the program MTTY(Attached with this post).
1) Kill activesync processes: Ctrl+Shift+Esc in Windows to bring up Task Manager. Kill wcescomm.exe and WCESMgr.exe (by selecting the task on the processes tab, and clicking the End Process button below)
2) Phone needs to be POWER + Record + Pen Reset and on Serial/USB screen. COnnect it to the PC, and it should show USB, with the backlight remaining off.
3a) Run mtty1.42.exe
b) Select USB from first list (where COM1 is displayed. Don't press USB button). If USB (or a list item containing USB) isn't in the list, then you have't connected to the PC properly.
(Leave default parameters: 8 bits / Flow Control NONE / Stop bits 1 / Parity None / Local Echo No)
c) Click OK
3) Run following commands:
[press enter first to get USB> prompt]
USB>
5. type "set 14 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
USB>set 14 0
HTCST ÚÈHTCEUSB>
6. type "task 28" to get your device formatted

Problem with Xplode wm6.11 Upgrade

PPC: Blue Angel T-Mobile GER
Rom: Xplode Wm6.00.00.WWE
Radio:1.15.00
Protocol: 1337.45
From this rom i want to upgrade to Wm6.1 from Xplode.
My Upgrade steps:
1. Bootloader
2.The ppc shows "Serial"/"Usb" and "v2.05"
2.2 Kill Active sync
3. starting MaUpgradeUt_noID
4.MaUpgradeUt_noID gives no informations about the current Rom /upgrade rom
5.Next
6. Error 150
What i have to do?

It must be an OS problem
Try using Windows XP rather than using Vista.
I got the same problem with my XDA IIs,
I tried it in Windows XP and successfully Updated to WM 6.1

i have Windows XP no Vista

Give it a try without killing ActiveSync on PC.
1. Put device in bootloader mode
2. Put device in the cradle
3. Start update program (wait till 100% and do not remove device out the cradle)
4. When update has finished, hard reset the device
- If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc, EITHER:
Quickly press "Record" & "Camera" before the versions appear at bottom right
OR press "Power" & "Camera" & "Record" buttons and Reset at the same time
- If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66:
Quickly press "Record" & "Windows Media" before the versions appear at bottom right EITHER
OR press "Power" & "Windows Media" & "Record" buttons and Reset at the same time
You'll see three options on screen. You must change the second and the third to yes. If you are not developing/testing software you can disable the first debug option for better performance.(“Enable KITL” must be NO, “Clean Registry Hive” must be YES, “Format Storage” must be YES)
- If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc, use "Camera" and the "Record" buttons.
- If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66, use "Windows Media" and the "Record" buttons.
Note: The "Record" button moves up and down the menu and the "Camera" button toggles Yes/No. When you're done, press the button in the middle of the D-Pad to continue booting.
- Press the "Mail" button. A white screen will show for 30 seconds, while it is clearing your device in preparation for the new ROM to start executing
When the bootscreen, aka. the colored stripes is displayed, wait more, you are booting. The welcome screen to set up your device will appear shortly ...
(if removed earlier) Put back your SD Card before you do the setup. This way the installation from the SD will continue after you have done the setup
5. Your upgraded ROM is now running!

Soft reset help

I have an imate jasjar
I need to do a soft reset.
My standard soft reset button (external point) is broken, doesnt work.
MY VGA screen is not showing certain menu items at the bottom. So installing software isnt much help.
Q: Is there any way to run a soft reset from finding the soft reset *.EXE in the windows directory of WM5 on the pocket pc ?
What other means of running a soft reset do I have ?

Taking the battery out for a while seam to instigate a soft reset...phew !

Hello eneryone. I am a brand new user of an htc touch elf 0100 with rom 1.11.706.1.b en , ce os 5.2.20758 .i have a lot of quaetstions about it.
1. I cant do hard reset on the device. Why? I tried both green and red buttons with reset button with stylous but nothing...
2. Whitch rom update is suitable for my device? If anyone can post the link i will be very happy
3. I live in greece and i bogth fron uk, is there any update of rom in grrek
4. I bought an 4 gb micro sd ram but the device doesnt recognize it. What can i do? Please if anyone knows abut it help me!!!

To hard reset:
Hold down send/reject buttons (green/red at the front) and reset with the stylus; release the stylus but keep holding the buttons till you get 'this will erase all your personal data' message, then press 'action' (big front button) to hard reset.

You should read all of it and slowly try to understand the basics.

I did it but nothing!!!!!
It just soft reset. I hold them for more than minute but nothing. Is it possible to be an mulfaction of the rom? Its the original one

First Your touch should recognize 4GB Sd card check it is formated as Fat32 or not
Second ressing red and green buttons together with stylus soft reset the screen becomes blacck with several lines of words on it at this point press midlle action button for hard reset
If the device doesnot hard reset and cannot see all size of SD this may be a phake (clone) device
If it is a clone you cannot upgrade rom

Did you do exactly this, pressing the stylus for one second, not more ?

i still cant do hard reset. and how can i recognize if it is a clone? it has the same processor as the elf, the same size memory but not exactly the same menu with the original(if its a clone)the infos of my device are:

I am sorry, it looks like a chinese clone
See if this works for hard reset: press and hold volume up button + camera and then use the stylus to do reset

This looks like a clone as the rom version is also strange to HTC roms try to return to the seller if you bought it as original also compare its price to original
if you by on net give them negative feedback
