how would you run AIM on the MDA? I've heard that there has been problems trying to get it to run on there.
I do know that it is possible for it to work using wifi... Thats what I used with my old pocket pc the HP 5455... So I know that it is possible for it to work using wifi... its just a matter of finding the program..

I often send files via ftp on GSM conection to the internet 500k in size. I dial from my laptop using a bluetooth modem to the XDA2. It connects fine however it takes ages and even fails sometimes. If I use my nokia in the same position it sends 3 times quicker. I assume there is a modem string needed or something. Anyone got any ideas?
I have also no idea how to use GPRS from my laptop through the XDA2. I tried to install Vodafone Connect on my laptop but the installation allways comes up with an error message saying
'A file cannot be found, this error is catastrophic.'
That is not a nice mesage to me.
Any more ideas anyone????

Thanks a bunch for that URL, It has helped. I found an AT String to put in the laptop under the Bluetooth modem settings which has made a more stable connection however I still have a pretty slow data flow rate, about 500Kbs when I was getting 900Kbs with the Nokia, do you know why? Can anyone help???

AND THE PROGRAM IS WModem (WIRELESS MODEM)
Well, I have been testing it all day, and it works like a charm. I didn't want to post until I had verified it was working well....and it does. I'll be posting a detailed write up on how to do so, and what versions to use etc tomorrow. To all you people that have Blackberries, you can now move that email to your HTC TyTn(and probably most other WM5 PPC Phones)!
Are you able to access any other data rather than just blackberry? I have yet to find a way to do it.

Hi,
I have not installed it because it says it is in German. Is it? Second, is it carrier specific? The BB client for desk top is not the same we use in our company. I assume the desktop client from mycompany will work fine with the pocket pc client found in the downloaded program?

It works on whichever one you are connected to.

ok so a friend of my just got upped to the tilt from the 8125 and he passed it off to me. I already have a cell phone so i was thinkin maybe since i have wifi i could just fix it up so i have a little wifi browser at home... only problem is I cant seem to get it to work. firstly i had my router set on wpa2 so i changed it to wpa/wpa2-psk and i put in my password and it says cannot connect because i need a certificat. can some one help me so i can hack this dev to work with no sim as just a standard comp? maybe just install like windows 2000 or xp or something? idk im new to the smartphone modding culture.
