Could anyone tell me how to get activesync to sync with folders on a storage card? Is this possible? I want to do this as the pictures i take on my phone go onto the storage card, and as opposed to remembering to go and take them off of the storage card manually it would be good if Activesync did it automatically every time i plugged it in.
Is there a setting in activesync that can do this?
Can anyone else help with this?
I can install programs to the SD card. I can sync media to the SD card using Windows Media Player. What I can't do is sync files to the SD card using ActiveSync.
Is there any way of doing this? (I've got an O2 Exec) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OK I've done more investigation.
Activesync cannot sync files with an SD card. However by using the Explore option within Activesync and using copy/cut/paste right click options you can move and copy files to the SD card.
A tool called MobSync syncs with storage cards. It's free.
Hi ... If we Sync. files with my computer, the files are stored in the Imate Jam's main memory but I want the files to move to the storage card. How can we do this? Thanks for your replies in advance
As far as I am aware, Activesync only syncs the contents which are contained within the internal memory of the pda/phone - it doesn't touch anything in your storage card memory.
The only way around this is to move the files manually onto the storage card...
Thanks for your help. Much Appreciated.
Hi There, Found a New software called MOBSYNC which actually allows you to SYNC all the folders to any location in to your PPC. It allows you to SYNC any folders from your PC (not specifically My documents). Thanks
Softick Card Export v3.15
Requirements: WM2003, WM5, WM6
Overview: Softick Card Export for Windows Mobile is a tiny application which allows you to use Windows Mobile device as a convenient USB card reader.
Now, when all you need is an access to the storage card on your handheld, you can forget about annoying synchronization delays!
Softick Card Export for Windows Mobile provides a direct access to the card from the desktop computer, so you don't need to remove you card from the device and re-insert it into a card reader: sometimes this procedure is not too easy.
You won't realize at work that you have left a card in home card reader! Now any application can save files directly to the card inserted into device, because Card Export for Windows Mobile provides fully compatible USB Mass Storage media for operating system, it can be accessed as removable drive.

I'm trying to get some accidentally deleted files off of my old (SCH-i760) phone, but it appears as a phone, and not HDD. Though I can browse the files, I cannot use any software to scan it. Is there anything I can do to make it appear as just a plain HDD?
EDIT: Nevermind. I don't know how but I got all the files.
Help too.
I have the same problem i want to know how to mount my internal phone memory as a drive on my pc i cannot find the solution to this anywhere.
Help please
You can't do it.
If it is on a storage card you can connect the card directly in a USB card reader, and mount it as a drive on your PC, but the program and storage memory of the device is another story.
Windows Explorer through Activesync, or Visual Studio's remote file Viewer (ccfilevw.exe), are the only ways to access the storage memory. Both go through Activesync to get to the device, but you do not have the ability to undelete files.
In custom ROMs, SD cards can be set as drive letters which makes synchronizing any folder on the phone quick and easy.
In the stock ROM, you can't mount the SD card as a drive letter so synchronizing any folder takes *significantly* longer.
What is the quickest way to synchronize an SD card folder with a PC folder and can you post a link on how it is done if it involves FTP or anything that isn't a simple one click operation?
