Mini-USB to AV?

I see this question has been asked before but there was no answer that I saw. Can I connect a mini-usb to video adapter to the cingular 8125 and use it on an external screen? I'd like to install a 5.5" screen in my car and use google maps on the phone but up on the screen. I think it would be a good alternative to a spendy nav system, considering I already have the screen.
no it require usb host functionality to use other usb devices
no way to get a software application that will make it work?

[Q] how do I use phone files on tab?

I asked this once and got an answer that I should "duh" remove the micro sd from the phone and insert it in the tab. If I don't like that i must be stupid or lazy.
I use a lot of spreadsheets in my work. I have been using them on my relatively small 3.7" phone until I got this tablet. Since there is a USB port on the a500, I figured that i could use the cable and use the file on the phone through the USB cable. But the tab doesn't see the sd card when used as a disk drive. The my touch slide 4g has a 32gig card in it.
The tab can see large USB drives except not the phone.
They are both WiFi enabled and have Bluetooth ability. Bluetooth is slow and not so easy as a USB connection. I have not been able to establish a WiFi FTP relationship. I could open the files on either device with a cloud storage, but this is complicated and can be slow and insecure when I am out and about using public WiFi. It can gobble up data if I use my data connection and tethering for both the tab and the phone to keep going back and forth to the cloud for read only and minor changes.
All I want to do is to be able to use my phone as a disk drive as I can do on a computer, or as i can do with an external drive or memory card.
When i have access to a desktop or laptop, I simply plug in the phone and open the file on the phone and then save it right back there when I'm done.
This seems so simple a task. Why is it not right up there with easy things to do? After all, isn't this one of the reasons there is a standard USB port built in when no one else has one?
Sorry to ramble on, but this is one thing I would really like to do.

You CAN use your phones disk drive mode, you just need to mount the drive on your tablet. Use DriveMount from the Market, should do what you need.

Two threads on the same issue in one forum. Your question has been answered in your other thread one post down.

Anybody else got this problem ?

my phone will not do ANYTHING requiring usb other than charge , my phone charges perfectly either from wall or pc , but will not mount usb, tether, htc sync, etc.
i love music , so i used to always need to mount to add a new album or etc. and since atleast a month ago my phone is extremly picky about mounting usb, if im EVEN LUCKY to get it in a right position for it to mount usb,
just yesterday i was suprised because my 4th time wiggling and flipping , and bending cable finally got my phone to mount and transfer files at a MAX , 2.2 mbps speed, thats half of what it used to give me before the problems happened , i am assuming the problem is my usb (has to be atleast 92% of the cause)
i just want to know if theres a fix , or a legit work around , im okay with wifi mounts , i just need one thats straightforward , and probally has basic file managing .
thanks in advance for any replies

This problem is most likely physical - one of the D+/D- USB data wire pair is disconnected. In this case the phone will still detect VBUS (voltage on the USB) since the power wires aren't disconnected, will use it for charging, but won't be able to establish any kind of USB communication.

If it's indeed a physical problem - you'll need to do both, I'm afraid.
First, you can look inside your microUSB plug and see if the 5 tiny contact strips are visible and not dirty or obstructed by possibly broken piece of plastic ahead of them. If you have a tiny flat screwdriver - you can try to use it to scrub the dirt off the contact strips.
And if everything looks ok there - the problem might be in the soldering of the USB slot to the board, in which case you'll have to disassemble the phone and re-solder the contact pins to the board.

[Q] [MOD] 3G (Ideia?)

Hi ppl, sorry about my english i dont post that often but was just wondering...
Since i see ppl adding 500GB HDD's to the dock itself (and even 750GB), I was wondering if anyone already thought of putting a 3G USB Pen inside, perhaps remove the casing of t pen itself for better reception (might vary on the location in the dock, dont really know).
So we could have 3G internally in the dock itself! Perhaps add a small USB HUB inside and connect also a small 2.5" HDD. (dont know nothing on about the powering issue for both devices).
Just bringing up a thought, and hope i'm posting it in the right section
Cheers.
I think that his has been done before but i think there was an issue about signal through the metal casing of the dock worth a try though

S8+ Screen Busted...Need To Recover Data

I have some data inside my Secure Folder and in my regular storage in my S8+, but the screen is busted. (The LCD and digitizer don't work now) Any way to get access into my phone? Connecting it to HDMI shows my phone onto a monitor, but since the digitizer is broken I can't even do that. Unfortunately the USB Debugging was not enabled, and SideSync has not been used on the phone. I have to send it to Samsung for repairs soon, if anyone knows any way...please help!
Buy a dex dock and return it when you saved your data ?
Use the otg adapter that came in the box n hook it to a bluetooth keyboard
