Just bought a jade, I love it but the camera seems crappy ! I never manage to get a focused picture - and I am not shivering ;-)
Is there a kind of patch for this ?

Hi I have a problem :
the thumbnails in album are in very low definition, only of photos taken with HD2, thumbs of pictures i've imported in the phone are perfect !!! the default pictures,too.
So the problem is only with thumbs done by the phone.
How could I resolve ?

have you installed the cab for having 4x4 quick links in home page ?

Try to convert jpg to png. Then it schoul be better....

Mine has the same problem, over saturated and pixelated whereas those from my old TouchHD are fine.

but the process is not automatic ? how could I convert only thumbs ?

I have oversaturated and low-quality thumbnails as well, I think it is related to the quality settings. Pictures taken at 'superfine' get bad thumbnails, others are fine.

But the problem regards only pictures taken by the phone camera! Other are good!

me too, the thumbs from my xperia are fine, but the HD2's are crappy quality
do you think that it depends on installed apps ?
I've seen that also from pc the thumbs of the pictures are ugly! So is a problem of a corrupted file generated from the camera
I have the same problem also, i don't think it has to do with any installed apps as I had this problem with a fresh phone basically.
Also the problem existed with the Taiwan official rom that came with the phone, also the WWE_Asia edition I just switched to yesterday.
Like everyone else, thumbs of old photos from my N95 8gb and others is perfect but photos taken with the HD2 camera is all pixelated + over-saturated...
any ideas to solve the problem ?

It's been fixed in 1.48.
In Spanish ROM 1.48 still fails.
Hi All,
I am hoping someone can lend some magic coding tips. I am working on an application that uses the front camera in the Samsung Epic. Problem is that whenever I call the front camera the image is badly distorted, skewed, stretched. Does anyone have a lead on this problem. Sprints dev guide is useless and Samsung has yet to provide a real answer. If anyone can share any usable code via PM that would be fantastic.

SUPER SIZING YOUR TEXT WON'T MAKE PEOPLE HELP YOU FASTER. As far as your problem goes, it's in the wrong section, and this has been addressed before. Xda has a search button for many reasons. Use it.
You might want to try to post your question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1252. It will help if you post some more information (running a custom rom/using a custom kernel).
