I tried installing spb pocket plus and, just after it installed, my Wizard didn't seem to be responding so I tried soft resetting it. On booting up it showed the O2 splash screen and then the Windows Mobile screen but nothing else. The screen goes dark as the backlight is turned off but you can still see the Windows Mobile screen showing. Each time I soft reset the same thing happens.
I've tried soft resetting about 4-5 times now and the same thing happens again. I've even taken the battery out and put it back in and the same thing happens. I was going to try reinstalling the O2 XDA firmware but as I can't get the Wizard to connect to ActiveSync I can't do that.
Has anyone got any ideas? At the moment I'm without my phone & all the PDA functions on the phone and I really want it back.
Thanks for any advice.
Matthew
Think you may need to do a hard reset to put it back to it's factory state. Should work then.
Thanks, I'd been trying to do a hard reset but it didn't seem to work - then it occurred to me that I was actually pressing the wrong button to confirm the reset!
Hard reset works and gets it up and running again although, from checking, it seems that there's some problem between sdp pocket plus (3.0.0.3888) as I've now installed that about 3-4 times and each time, after doing a soft reset, the Wizard crashes and won't respond.
I got a qtek 9100 and when i soft reset my device the boot screen start with the back light after a few seconds shuts off and then goes to the windows mobile screen without the back light. the windows mobile screen does not go away. I tried hard reseting it also and the same thing happens. Can anybody tell me what the problem could be and some solutions. thanks for ur help guys

I checked all of the posts on Universal and there is no information leading to any easy solution. After installing SPG pocket plus everything seemed fine. To be sure its all ok even after soft reset I use SPB pocket plus "Soft reset button" on today screen. After soft reset there is no Today screen. Only windows logo. Power button does switch off and on the device. Green light is flashing as it has reception. Took SD card and sim card off, soft reset it but still hangs on Windows mobile green logo.
I was hoping there could be some sort of information how to get to SPB pocket plus SAFE MODE. No matter when i reset it, no option to get to safe mode is given. Any ideas apart from Hard reset?
PS: After Hard reset, do I loose all sms? Are they synchronised somewhere on my desktop PC?
safe mofe
why after istalliing spb pocket plus and soft reset device work on "SAFE MODE"?
and start up slow working?
No Safe Mode after Soft Reset when SPB pocket plus installed
After a Soft reset using SPB pocket plus button on Today screen windows got stuck on windows mobile boot screen, no change after 20 minutes. I guess SPB pocket plus just messed up today screen and hard reset is needed. So much for SAFE mode. SPB pocket plus will not be my favourite aplication for sure. So there is no magical button combination to solve this?
I too is using pocketplus and didnt had ne prob from last 2 months , i m sure ur startup folder is messed up or u must have deleted ne other startup file which is causing it to hang at startup .
I'm assuming that you installed Pocket Plus in the main memory and not your SD card...? You must install it to the main memory...at least to avoid (most) startup problems. I was able to get it running off the SD card, but only briefly. To do so, I had to adjust the order of my startup services...sending the SDdaemon to the front of the line and Pocket Plus to the end of the line. Still this is not recommended as Pocket Plus weaves itself into the startup services pretty tightly.
I uninstalled the software and reinstalled in the main memory with much better stability.
To get my unit to boot up when it snagged at startup, I had to soft reset 2-3 times and it ultimately started okay. After which I performed the uninstall to move the application from the SD card to the main memory. I wasn't completely set up with all of my software, otherwise I would have tried to use Pocket Mechanic's Relocate function to see if I could move it that way. Anyone else done this and can add their experience to this thread?
Good luck!!!
hi,
i recently wanted to simply restart my qtek s200 (g3), it stops at the blue windows mobile boot screen and just hangs and does nothing (i've waited for hours).
I am not using any mods, simply the original rom/software. The only thing extra installed is 3rd party software and the home screen from the new htc touch (i've have been using it for some time now, and yes, i have been able to reboot several times during that period).
I have no idea why it isn't working anymore since I have been using it in an ordinary fashion and have not installed any software lately...
What I have tried so far:
- soft reset
- removing battery, sd card, sim card
- hard reset is impossible due to the fact that my comm button no longer functions.
Any ideas how I can get this phone to boot in windows again?
If there is no "normal" way, then a hard reset would also work for me as the phone contains no important data.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks!

Since no hard reset is available... try removing the battery for the whole night.
If you do manage to get to windows then watch out for the startup folder, you're probably overloading the memory at startup.(htc home and psxut eat a lot at startup and windows as well)
i have removed the battery, sim and sd, and just left it there the whole night, but it still won't go further than the windows boot screen...
any suggestions ?
is is possible to do a hard reset by connecting it to usb and enter the bootloader somehow ? if yes, how ?
thanks!
hi,
have you tryed entering bootloader by the normal process?
"Hold down the camera button and reset the device. (Boot Loader Mode is: Press Camera + Soft Reset, then release soft reset and keep pressing camera button till appear the Boot Loader.)"
regards
yes, I can get into the bootloader, I can then also connect with USB with a notification at the bottom of the screen saying it's connected. However, I have no idea what to do afterwards ...

Okay then there is still hope.. When you have connected the device run an opdate tool like the NVID WM5 Rom.. that should work as a hard reset..
are there any working links available for this ? rapidshare seems to have disabled this...
thanks!

As long as you are able to enter bootloader then you can flash it with any old prophet rom. I had the same issue after installing WM6 rom. I used a Spanish rom on wiki to bring it back and then installed WM6 VII touch. So far it has worked well for a week.
HTC 6tab Home screen killed my 818pro!!!!!!
Here is what happened a few days back. My 818pro (aka prophet) suddenly heat up while not in use 3 days ago. I thought it was caused by the hot weather in my country (I was driving with aircond in full blast). The heating up eventually go away. Then 2 day later, after I put down a call, my phone just frozen / hung. Hence, I do a soft reset & guess what It never recovered & stop at the black screen with the dopod logo while restarting. Some service centre I visited told me that the main memory chip need replacement & reflash!!! I can't even see the window screen. I have use the HTC 6tab for 2 months & I am very sure it's the culprit here. Hopefully you are not having the same problem like me
Try plug in the ac charger before u do soft reset. My phone need it in order to restart after soft reset (after I started using the HTC 6tab Home Screen).
That is before my phone die yesterday

Try a factory reset (Loses all information on the phone, beware!). Im not sure how to do it just yet, but im sure your manual or something online can help you.
I remember on my Old MotoQ9c you held the center select button while powering on the device.
Anyone else know?

power off the device
remove SD card
remove battery for 2 minutes
replace battery
power on device while holding power button and up volume key
follow the directions.
This will factory reset the device, this means everything is deleted
*Sigh*
Alright, hard reset complete. Thanks for the instructions.
On the bright side, Im dont need to worry about backing up my data when those custom roms start getting released.
