Qtek 9100 bluetooth headset - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

My sony ericsson HBH 660 does not work with my New qtek 9100. Has anyone had any luck with anouther unit? And if so how does the voice dialing work with the headset??
Thanks

Hi, I have same Headset (SE HBH-660) with an LCD and it works great with QTek 9100. Which kind of problems do you have?

I glad to meet anouther Qtek 9100 user! It just will not seem to identify it?? My Hp just picked it right up! Am I missing something? I go to add a new divice and it looks for the headset but never finds it? Did you have to do any tricks?
Thanks, Adam

i have problem pairing my BT head set too
problem was fixed after i upgraded the rom with this: RUU_Prodigy_1060701_101_11310_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe
hope this helps

Same with my bluetrek G2, but i did readin the
manual that I have to push the button 7 seconds
longer after it starts up, and then my led flashes
from red to blue and it can be discovered. Didn't
have to do this on my Jam. WM5 I presume...
Hope this helped, try to check the manual.
Might be the solution, I came accros it somewhere
by accident. But it works...

got the k-jam and motorola ht 820 h/s and paired no problems

Help please! Bluetooth headset woes...

I have purchased an O2 XDAII in Oz which is loaded with the 1.66 ROM. I have tried connecting two headsets to the phone over bluetooth with many problems.
Both seem to bond ok and work initially but later they fail - the XDAII doesn't respond to anything I press on the headset. Or the XDAII does respond (answer or end call) but no-one can hear me either through the headset or the phone.
Deleting and re-bonding seems to temporarily solve the matter. But if the XDAII goes to sleep and comes back on it stops working. Will also just stop working for no reason after a call or two is made or received.
I have tried installing the bluetooth tools which is cool because the XDAII can recognise some of those extra headset profile functions (like redial) but I still get the same problems as above.
Tried Plantronics M3000 and Motorola HS801
What can I do? Is it this Bluetooth stack problem from MS I have read about? Do I need a ROM upgrade? Do I need Widcomm something installed on the XDA II? I don't know how to do any of these myself. Any kind advice from a pro is appreciated in advance.
When you installed bluetooth tools did you delete any bonding and pairing of devices beforehand? it can make a difference if you havent done this.
Yes. I tried it twice thinking that maybe I might guess a way to make it work.
First I deleted the bonds after installing BT Tools and then rebonded.
Then I deleted the bonds before installing BT Tools and then rebonded.
I spoke to my Telstra dealer again today and they received a list from Brightpoint (a distributor) that matches various headsets against various PDA's available in Oz.
Not all BT headsets will work competently with all PDA's. The M3000 is marked as NOT compatible with the O2 XDA II available in OZ. So was the Motorola too.
I am now using a Hello II headset which so far is fantastic (very small and comfortable to wear) and is working with no modifications to the XDA. I will post back in a week with a fuller review. I'm going to re-install BT tools and see if that make a difference with the available functions.
Anyone else wanting to test these out in Perth, WA, (Australia) - they are available from Communications Plus.

I can stop the sleep mode ... I have a MOTOROLA HS-801 Bluetooth Headset
Help
how can I stop the sleep mode ... I have a MOTOROLA HS-801 Bluetooth Headset
I had a problem with my Plantronics M3000 too so I called Plantronics themselves who said that the problem is with the phone, not the headset. It's a compatibility issue with the software.
Unlikely to be any fix, at least not in the near future.

Bluetooth with XDAII i

Hi, I've planned to by the new XDAII i (in Belgium the Qtek 2020).
Does anybody can tell me if it is OK with a bluetooth car Kit? With the XDAII normal, I have a lot a Bleutooth problems that I hadn't with the Mini.
Thanks for your answers.
I've had no issues with the BT on XDA2i, other than my old headset wouldn't work with it - something i've now discovered was probably more to do with the headset than the phone.
All other aspects of BT work a dream.
Cheers
Ant
PS - XDA2i uses a Widcomm (now Broadcom) BT stack, not the MS one as used on the 2.
Still can't get my XDaIIi to send files via BT to my laptop! I tried it with my old XDA 2 and it works a treat........
Someone please help, i don't know how many times i've posted this topic

Could you guys please comment about my problem?

Hi All,
I seem to be having Bluetooth problems with my dutch t-mobile mda compact:
I am using a simple bluetooth headset - it's got no brand name - but I know it works fine beacuse before getting the mda compact I have used it with my Nokia 6310i and it works fine.
Anyhow, I pair the headset with my mda with no problem and it may work all day long without any problem - but... if for instance I leave the room with my headset - leaving the phone behind - which essentially disconnects the BT headset and the phone - when I come back the phone doesn't recognize the headset no matter what I do. The headset icon on the top of the phone disappears and oesn't come back. I reset the phone, I cliick on the headset answer button, I turn on and off the bluetooth on the phone, I switch on and off the headset - nothing helps!
The only solution that I found working is to delete the headset from the bluetooth devices in the mda and then rediscover the headset which works like a charm. All goes back to normal unitl the next time that it loses connection. I think the phone also sometimes loses connection when I am not using the headset for a long time (and hour or so)...
What can I do?? this is really driving me crazy. I have no problems when using the same headset with my nokia 6310i - but hey, I want to use the MDA!!!
My device: MDA COMPACT - T-Mobile Netherlands
Rom - 1.01.00 WWE
Radio - 1.00.10
Protocol - 1337.36
Ext Rom - 1.01.124 WWE
Thanks you guys for helping me
Ciao,
Lisa
hey Lisa..
i've noticed ur device informations are the following:
My device: MDA COMPACT - T-Mobile Netherlands
Rom - 1.01.00 WWE
Radio - 1.00.10
Protocol - 1337.36
Ext Rom - 1.01.124 WWE
they are too old
I have not experienced a problem like urs before, but i recommend u to upgrade ur device(the latest ROM version is 1.12.00,as much as i know  ),u can find it in the ftp server, wich u can access from the wiki page(top left of ur page)...
if ur new to PDAs,then u have to know that ur device is a Magician,so search the ftp in the Magician folder
if u don't know how to upgrade ur device,u just have to ask,i will guide ur to the steps with pleasure
hope i've helped...
RAGO
Thanks Rago.
I was kind of wondering which one of the ROMs I should pick? When logging on to the FTP directory - there are lot's of shipped Magician Roms... Many show 112 - but which one should I take?
Is there any issue with the new Roms? Bluetooth problems?
Regards,
Lisa
hi lisa
best available workaround is to buy zenduris pocket zenphone software (do a search here at xda-developers). this program enables the headset profile permanently so your mda will be able to re-connect with your headset again, when you are back in the room.
cheers, lutz
Hi Lutz,
Thanks again for helping me
So you are using the word "workaround" - is this a known problem or it this just a problem with my device?
Am I to assume that there is a problem with the BT can can only be worked around and not solved permanently?
Does any of the new Roms solve this?
Bye,
Lisa
hi lisa
well there may be a rom that acts different but i won't force you to flash your device certain times with all the risks just to find out that it doesn't work! zenduris pocket zenphone really fixes the issue permanently and is definitely the best way to do it. i myself use the german o2 xda mini rom and it works well with my parrot ck3100 and reconnects with it the way it should while all the other (german) rom versions did not. but i guess you won't flash your device with a german rom, right...
cheers, lutz

OK, I got the Motorola HT820 (Bluetooth stereo headset) but.

I just bought the Motorola HT820 yesterday. I traded in my Sony Ericsson HBH610 which was good in windy conditions but couldn't redial with my K-Jam.
The Motorola turnes out to be good in Windy conditions too. Say goodbye to the Jabra 250
Of course the redial works on the Motorola. Haven't tried the voice dailing yet.
But now for the big Q:
How do I get it to work to hear the audio from my K-Jam. This is of course why I bought it. Not to look geeky
It just doesn't seem to work.
Does anybody nows if the bluetooth stack from the k-jam/qtek 9100 and other variations has the audio profile?
Wouter
I've been searchi9ng the internet for the a2dp support but what I read at HowardForums and Geek.com there is currently no support for the adio profile on the k-jam/qtek 9100.
Wouter
I hope there will be an a2dp profile soon too.

Hi E. Gold,
Thanks for the tip but I'm afraid it won't work on the K-Jam because it is a patch for the Widcom stack and won't work with the Microsoft stack.
Too bad
I saw a post from somebody on xdadevelopers who is making an file for all the Microsoft stacks. He was one week ago, 70 % finished. I guess I wait for that one to be on the safe side.
Wouter
Please tell us when it is finish.
A workaround....
Thanks to Sarcasmsra who posted a little tool at PdaPhoneHome.com (Here: http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=54951&perpage=20&pagenumber=1)
there is now a way to have at least mono audio on my Motorola Stereo headset.
It is not perfect  but at least it is a step in the right direction! 8)

Cracking sound with Bluetooth headset

I got my S200 back from a repair and it was also upgraded form G3 to G4.
Everything seems to work fine, except my Jabra BT500 head set. After pairing with my S200 I got a very cracking sound.
So I checked my Jabra with another mobile phone and it worked very well. I checked another head set with my S200 and again a cracking sound.
Does anybody knows how to solve this or do I have to return my S200 again for repair?
Hi, I have excatly the same problem, it also occurs with the bluetoothof my car...anyone can help us?
I have returned my S200 to QTEK today in order to have it repaired (again).
I have tested it (in my car) with 2 other Bluetooth headsets and there was no problem. There was also no problem when I tested my own headset on another phone. So this proves that my S200 has some kind of defect.
The sound is very crappy ?
Or is the soud quite ok, but experiencing high frequency glitches, kind of metallic parasits?
Because in that case, there is nothing to do, It's due to the MS bleutooth stack which has a very poor encoding librairy... and since there is no widcomm stack for S200 (and some other qtek too, a lot of people is yet trying to malke it work), then evey bleutooth headset will have bad sound in A2DP with the S200 :'(
One of the main reasons why I want to change for a widcomm stacked pocketPC (shame on MS!!!!!!!!!!)
For me, the quality is very bad. At the beginig I use it only on my car and it was working perfectly, since I try to connect to the bluetooth headset or to my computer the sounds became very very crappy. I have Dopo ROM, which rom do you have? what ROM do you advise? Thank you
I have tried the LVSW, Jester and shipped ROMS and all these ROMS have the same problem. So I think that it is not related to the ROM but due to bad hardware components.
it's strange because it was working for me before I use other bluetooth device. I will try to upgrade the rom to the official QTEK ROM
I have the same problem. As if the bluetooth signal were cut per moment.
it's not linked to roms, but to bluetooth stack, so since the bt stack is updated (but I doubt it), changing roms won't help
I could fix it, I update the ROM, delete all pairaing on my cars... I change the "hsotname" of my QTEK on "settings - Owner information" I recreate the pair and it works fine on my car, now crappy sound anymore. Just to test it again, I try to pair my "fujitsu laptop" to my qtek, since I did it, the sound is again very crappy. So I will flash again and pair it only with my car. If I return it to Qtek it takes 1 months... If someone can fix this that would be great.
