colored bootscreen

Hello guys, I hope you can help me.... In the middle of a ROM update my (!#@#[email protected]#) PC rebooted.... (while in the white screen on my Qtek 9100) Now the only thing it will come up with is the colored screen saying: IPL 2.21.0001,SPL 2.21.0lip and the USB is on. Active sync isn't able to connect to my device so now what?? Is it bricked?
Hope sombody can help me.... the colored screen means something's still working isn't it?

what update were you trying to install? WM5? WM6? Official or cooked?
What windows xp/Vista are you using?
How far had the update gone
Have you tried running the update again,just tick the i have an active sync connection ,even though you dont and see if it will update? While in the bootloader screen the coloured screen. Hopefully it will do it for you

Its a bad flash as your PC crashed,the update did not finish and you don't have a working OS on your device.As long as you are getting into Bootloaders (multicolored screen) the phone is working,it's definitely not 'Bricked'.,but bad flash might have corrupted the bootloaders (IPL/SPL) on your phone.
Therefore to recover it back to it's default status,download the official carrier's Rom from it's website and flash it in bootloader mode(multicolored).You don't need to establish Activesync connection as Activesync will not work in bootloaders.Just get the phone in bootloaders ,connect your phone with the pc via usb cable,check usb appear at the bottom of the bootloader screen in the phone and run the Ruu in the rom,let it finish and reboot,hope it'll recover to it's default working status and than do what ever you want to do.

still a No Go......
well, I still got the 3 (with the white 4) colored screen saying: RUU, IPL 2.21.0001, SPL 2.21.0lip and USB in the white...... I tried a RUU but that didn't work. I had this phone flashed with WM 6 DUTCH and it worked like a baby untill I tried to SIM unlock it... doing that the PC crashed.... Explain please how to get the right ROM and maybe some more info on how to do it after I got the ROM downloaded.... I want my Qtek so bad....

it comes up with the 3 colourd screen usb at the bottem in the white when i put usb cable in but wont connect to active sync i dont no whare to get the 02 rom from can any on help please

Cannot flash my SPV M650 anymore :(

I have an unblocked SPV M560 (HTC3300).
Few weeks ago I have installed the B&B rom with WM6 on it. Now I would like to install the adinfinitum rom (http://www.adinfinitum.fr/wm6_gps_m6...d_and_the_ugly) to solve the GPS problem we can have with the M650 but I cannot flash anymore.
Here are some explanations:
After starting "start_uspl.exe" I get the Linux screen then the RUU application starts on my PC. RUU is trying to connect to the device but after few seconds it displays the error "ERROR[260]: Update error".
After this I tried to restart the pda, wait for Activesync connection and try to restart RUU.
This time RUU can connect, I can see the grey screen on the PDA and it starts updating... but after 2% I get a black screen on the PDA and RUU displays the error "ERROR[270] Update error".
I'm now reading this forum since 2 days and saw that other people already had this problem but I did not find any working solution.
Does anyone of you have an idea of what can I do to solve this problem?s

REad this...
Remove sim and mem card from phone use clear storage to clean phone memory then again try start_uspl.exe wait to 100% finsh do not disconect phone and run then romupdateutility i hope that this can help mine problem is resolved and i flash spv m650 many times.

Hi, i have similary problem, when i try re-install WM on my xda orbit 3.15.118 i have alert : flashing error check your update utility..when i try install another WM6 i have alert : error 270:update error

I finally managed to do the update. The only difference is that when RUU has started after getting the black screen I clicked on the cancel button.
After this I let the terminal with this black screen for few minutes (about 5 minutes) and starts again the RUU application.
And this time is works... don't ask my why, maybe it takes some time to the terminal to be ready to accept connections. At least now SPL 1.1 is installed and I can upgrade. My GPS is now working

i get a new rom from the internet and i didn't compleat the installation because my pc restart throw installation and my phone
stuck on the IPL\SPL screen and the OS didn't start
and when iconnect my phone to USB the activeSync didn't start too
and now phone readed to
please Help what can i do ??????

Activesync will not work in bootloaders (multicolor screen),its stuck at the bootloaders with ipl/spl display due to bad flash. What IPL/SPL...? it displays.Which Rom you downloaded and tried to install ?If your phone is a G3 device,is it CID unlocked ?, try to Soft Reset or HardReset,sometimes it helps,but if it doesn't,then you'll have to flash the rom again in bootloaders mode.

Vista and Upgrading bootloader

So got my Dopod 838pro running windows mobile 5 and will upgrade it to windows mobile6 with any luck, at the moment im trying to upgrade the boot loader to SPL (Bootloader) version 2.10.Olipro (HardSPL v7) and im following this very handy guide http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=27
however i get to the very end where its supposed to flash the new boot loader and it sits there for a while until the updater utility comes back with ERROR [260] Update Error.
Which informs me that i should check to see if the phone is connected to the computer via usb, which it is.
It must connect to the phone cause it actually starts the process of trying to update the boot loader, i see it on my phone. It goes to a red, green and blue screen. Which says:
Herm1000
IPL-SSPL by Des
Herm100
SPL-1.09.ds
USB
The only option i have here is to press exit on the updater utility, and start again.
Nothing else happends after this.
Im running Windows Vista 64bit, have also tryed this guide

Still no solution.

IPL 1.01
SPL 1.06
Have also restarted my computer in between trying different things.

error 260 is an open port error. try a different usb port, disable antivirus and firewalls, or if avaiable try on a different pc, xp if possible.

I tried a differeny USB port on my vista machine and that didnt work. I also closed absolutely everything and that didnt work either.

Resettin help/issue

Gone through the various help threads on rebooting, resetting etc.. Battery is charged, m/card and sim have been removed..
Phone is at the boot loader stage - reads Upgrade ROM code error - have the USB plugged in and can see the USB writing on the white part of the red,green,blue,white screen but pc refuses to make a connection.. keeps saying activsync not connected or busy..
Have tried rebooting the phone and also the pc, changed cables, changed USB port.. no joy..
Any suggestions appreciated..

not sure what you want...but you have certainly described the situation really well.
i understand that your device is in the bootloader (thats the multi-color screen). i understand that "USB" is written at the bottom of the bootloader screen. i understand that you have removed all the cards.
what i don't understand is what you want help with? why are you trying to establish an activesync connection? activesync will obviously NOT connect if you are in the bootloader because the bootloader isn't the same as windows. windows mobile must be running if you want a full activesync connection.
so what exactly are you looking for? do you want to flash a ROM or radio ROM or some such? are you simply trying to "hard reset" your device? details please!

yea, dont be confused by posts that say 'when connected to active sync, blahblahblah', they dont really mean activesync the program, they simply mean a usb connection. The fact that it says USB on the white part means you can now run your rom flash,.

ok.. what I am trying to do is re-flash the ROM.. I had a flashed ROM on there and I was just going to upgrade it to the latest one (Laurentius26 GoldEdition V3.4 Stock/Spike™ WWE 23568) and about 20% of the way through it froze and then I get a recovery screen come up.. followed the instructions and started to flash again and the same thing happened.
In both cases it seems as if the USB connection was dropped even though there was nothing else happing on the pc at the time.. now when I try to re-flash, no US connection is being established.
Well I left everything disconnected last night and tried again this morning. We have got a connection now but the re-flash has failed again so I shall just go back to the old ROM.. thanks for you all's input.

probably a bad ROM download. I would try to download again and if that doesn't fix it, let the ROM cooker know that he probably has a bad upload of the ROM.
