- Hi,
My phone is on T-mobile (UK), it was locked, but after I ran the "All in one" unlock, then I see it saud "The unlock succesfully...", It can recognise Vodafone sim, but when I try to make a call, then It's impossible, I can't make any call ,aslo can't receive any call. When I truy T-mobile sim, it occurs the same problem, no outgoing call, and receiving call.
- The phone I've bought from a friend, It was listed as lost and stolen !

MOdel No : PM-10A
IMEI:357308001328116
Rom : 1.13.00.WWE
Radio : 1.12.00
ExtRom : 1.13.121WWE
Please help me, my phone now like death phone, I don't know what to do with it now ! Thank you very much !

Lost & stolen?? Why buy it, TMO must have registered your IMEI (never ever post that number to prevent people reporting it as stolen) and it's blacklisted now all over your country, like it should be. Unlocking doesn't mean you unblocked an operator wide imei block. Just sell it in Africa, heard some positive news about it
& you should have posted under magician not wallaby.
So basically you're screwed, but you prob. knew what risc you took when you & you're friend started this affair.
Cheers, M

Hi, just got an MDA compact that was sim-locked to T-Mobile
After reading thru this forum i unlocked it on http://www.imei-check.co.uk
Only now i can use EVERY other UK SIM card inside it apart from virgin mobile. Every time i stick a virgin SIM inside it, i get the message "call ended" when i try to dial any number from the MDA and the message "calls are currently not being connected to this number" when i dial the MDA from another phone
Now i know it's not an issue with the SIM card because the virgin SIM works fine in my XDA 2 and in any other phone, so i'm guessing it's an issue with the MDA itself.
Has anyone else had problems like this with the MDA compact and if so, how did you resolve them?
Also this unit won't let me flash it with a new OS, every time i extract the original ROM, NTRW.exe gives me the message "OriginalROM.nb1 cannot be read - the file exists". Any help on this would be greatly appreciated too
OS ROM: 1.01.00 WWE
Radio ROM: 1.00.10
D (no idea what this is): 1337.36
okay, starting to think the MDA i found has been reported lost or stolen.
I'm guessing the reason that i keep getting the message "call ended" is due to the fact that virgin mobile piggybacks the T-Mobile network and so virgin was blocked off as well since T-Mobile blocked the IMEI. (I don't want to try to risk putting in a T-Mobile SIM in the phone so i'm not sure)
I can't return the phone to it's owner either since the MDA was wiped clean when i got it (owner musta forgot to charge it).
Ah well it still makes a good PDA
Well that's solved the problem of the "call ended" message. Anyone else who has that message after buying a phone off the net, you probably bought one that was nicked and resold.
It will be blocked on all networks unfortunately, only good as a phone outside UK so at least you can use it on holiday abroad.
hello guyz, i have been asking this question since a while here but got no answer.
has anybody in this forum ever tried the services of IMEI ceck for unlocking the UNIVERSAL, they are the only guyz in the market claiming to have the MAGIC STICK that unlocks those complicated phones, anyway i was just wondering and would love to know if anybody here has tried unlocking his UNiversal throught them.
the reason of my question is, can this be logical, that they are the only genuises on earth getting to unlock the UNI
and thanks alot
Try searching the forums, it is what the search button is for.
In answer to your question, there are people who have used them, but there is an unlocker on the way.
Also, what model universal is it? Some vendors supply the unlock code for around £20 > £30
lol thanks bro, but i know about this Provider solution, the thing is i have a MDA PRO, and ive got him through the internet, T mobile told me that they dont have its IMEI in thier database, and based upon no UNLCOK code what i find **** is that i have no idea whas wrong with my MDA PRO and its IMEI is not reported stolen, so im sure its not an illegal deal or something, my only hope is an UNLOCK TOOL nothing else
It could be from T-Moblie is a different country, andas such the counry that you are in would not have record of another countri's imei.
I have an MDA Pro from T-Mobile UK, I am in the UK. According to them my IMEI is not in their database either, so they can not unlock the phone to work with my tmobile sim.
I am beginning to think they are a bunch of idiots
is it actually lock the o2 version of the universal dosent seam to be locked
You guys with Tmobile phones not being in the database, have you considered buying a pay as you go SIM and registering it with the IMEI. You can often get such SIMs for free anyway.
Not sure if it will help though!
V
well thanks for the answers.
but ive gone even further than what you will think, i made a T-mobile subscription in order to be able to use my universal. and i tried calling em to get the unlock code, but they said they dont have it and my IMEI is not in thier database, its bull**** i mean i got the devcie new not a second hand or used or anything, and it got all its DUtch user manuals and CDs so it cant just be from another country, its a dutch phone from the dutch T-mobile, but yet they dont have my IMEI this is way toooo wiered, i dont know where did my device come from lolll. and one thing im sure of, its not stolen
SOS
Dear All,
Is it possible to unlock the SIM on universal
Is tit possible to change the language on the phone from french to English
Can you please guide me on how to do the above as I dont speak french
Is it possible to save the current settings on the phone if the above fails
as the operator sayzs that the warrantz on the phone is void if the language is changed or the SIM is unlocked
My current configuration
operatpor 7.113.5.132
Rom version 1.13.51 FRE
Rom Date 22-09-2005
Radio 1.03.00
Protocol Version 42.36.P8
Ext rom 1.13.132 FRE
abellah30, 3 posts asking same thing? and one question has been asnswered in this thread....
Currently it is NOT possible to unlock the universal without sending to imei check or getting the code from the operator.
If you bought the phone with a subscription, phone up T-Mobile and tell them to send you a new phone. They told me that is what they [T-Mobile UK] would have to do as they didn't have the IMEI details

Guys,
I am SSOO depressed.
I moved to Turkey for a few months and the the same SIM that I previously used which is local turkish displays NO SERVICE. Even the Orange sim that I have used with my exec in my country AND in this country in my last trip isn't working anymore. I also have my old PDA2K with me here that is working perfectly with all SIMs. It's just that my Exec doesn't work anymore, so it's 100% gotta be an hardware problem.
when I click to search for networks I get the 3 turkish networks. however when i select my sim network or any other for that matter, nothing works. it just gets NO SIGNAL.
I tried to hard reset the device in hope that some program may have causd the problem but that didn't work as well. Even bare setup leaves the phone with no signal.
I may be wrong here, but I think my theory makes sense. I think that the internal Antenna is disconnected or isn't functionning, hence why it succeed to read the very mute GSM providers list but is unable to transmit a signal strong enough to communicate with them.
My O2 exec was bought by a guy who sold it to me from the UK. O2 will never service this machine since i didn't purchase it from them as well as I already flashed my rom and running JJ rom ever since I own the machine which is back 5 months ago.
Needless to say if you peole are like me you will understand my feeling. I feel like an inpotent without the phone and do not like to purchase a cellular phone and go backwards in technology.
If someone can enlighten me on how I may try to fix the machine myself or otherwise someone can fix it for me that would be so great.
In hope for help,
Tommy
Man that sucks, I feel your situation. I would be upset w/o my Universal as well. Here's a link to the service manual:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Universal/UNniversalL_Service_Manual_CONFIDENTIAL.pdf
Maybe you could try disassembling it to check the attennas for contact? To get to the attennas doesn't seem that hard.
Re: SSSOOO depressed !!! My Exec phone doesnt work anymore :
Did you register the IMEI with your Telco?

Your antenna should not be the problem as you can see the list of operatots on your Exec.
To be shure it is the hardware problem try to do this:
1. Remove SIM card
2. Try to make an emergency call (not sure how :? )
If you succeed in doing the emergency call - this appears to be a network barring problem that mentioned above in this thread.
thank you all for replying to my post !!! this is appreciated.
it seems the mistery was solved, when i talked with a turkish friend before reading your replies. Well the mistry wasn't solved, but i know what it is.
STRANGE country. The Turkish Telecom blocks some machines (IMEI) that you bring from overseas !!!
It's like a gestapo. Truely amazing unbelievable thing.
You see, the Turkish government instructs to block all IMEI that were not purchased in Turkey and use a Turkish sim card. The result is that if you bring you own mobile phone from anywhere in the world into Turkey and try to insert a Turkish sim card into it, the turkish goverment will block your machine! you can't even use your origin country SIM anymore after they do that!!
They Lock the IMEI so that you cannot use it with any cellular provider! Why? Because they assume you're Turkish and brought a phone without paying taxes in turkey. Would you ****in believe it?
I also carry a PDA2K and this one still works with a Turkish SIM, but I guess it may be blocked as well soon. People I talked with told me they have heard of this rule but have never seen anyone get hurt from it by getting his phone blocked.
So if you're a turist and thinks about using a Turkish prepaid SIM or any kind of SIM, think twice. within days, weeks or months, your phone will be useless here. My Turkish SIM card worked fine last visit a month ago, but it doesn't anymore.
Now if I would ask how I could change the IMEI that would be considered illegal because many want to do so because they are thieves, but legitimate people who got their phone blocked by a obscene Turkish laws has nothing they could do about it, even if they aren't Turkisj.
My friends talked with the Turkcell for 30 minutes and there was nothing they could do, they said it's a state issue and that only within a week time it will be in their hands so i would be able to go to their service center and show my passport. What a country!
I have 2 of these phones. One of them was used in France and on one of my visits there the phone (GSM) stopped working. My account with O2 is in order and Roaming was enabled. It never worked again after that. I tried upgrading from WM5 to WM6, I unlocked it with HTC Uni Unlocker v 1, and read all the forums I could find. I have been trying to solve the problem for the last 2 months.
Along the way, I found out that the IMEI number has changed. I don't know at which point this has happened however the reported EMEI number with lot's of 0000000 in the middle doesn't change any more after ROM upgrades or Unlocking.
My conclusion is that this EMEI number is barred on the networks with various symptoms ie. TMobile and Vodafone let you connect but you cannot phone or receive phone calls. Orange and o2 shows NO SERVICE straight away.
It seems to be impossible to change the EMEI number, besides I have been warned that it is illegal, despite the fact that I have a perfectly legal phone with a perfectly legal EMEI number. I cannot have this phone serviced by o2 any more as I have changed to Orange
Howevefr I have a second phone which works perfectly with the Orange SIM (on contract) and with it's original EMEI number. I have upgraded this phone to WM6 with the following ROM : SPVM5000_WWE_21208_212010_11500 (excellent work btw) and with radio v 1.18
Any solutions ?
This is what I have been thinking (might be impractical though). If I could copy the EEPROM data (that's where I THINK the EMEI number is stored) from my working phone and write it to the non working phone it might work but the EMEI number might be the same as on my working phone. If that then could be edited with my legal EMEI number of my non working phone that would even be better.
I have a French SFR (Vodafone in France) contract and I would love to use this second Universal when I am on the continent (weekly).
It all depends on the possibility to read and write the information from and to the storage media that holds the EMEI number on the device. First I need to know where it is stored and a solution to do just that. I tried Iwizard with WM5 on this phone and that doesn't work (returns an EMEI number that has nothing to do with what I have and the structure of an EMEI number - something like C4BC6400C4BC640 and doesn't let you update to another number).
If anyone out there needs more info, I am available to answer any questions. I have read on forums that other people seem to have the same problem, I even read that someone had the same problem after Roaming in France as well. Any solution would not only help me but others as well. It would also be interesting to know exactly what has happened. Thanks to anyone to is willing to contribute to solve this problem.

i read an article not long ago i forget where just popped up during a random goole search but someone created a beta IMEI changer for one of the earlier HTC phones ( i almost wanna say it was for a wizard or blue angel ) anyway if your imei got corrupted, I can't see why if the tool will work, changing it back to the IMEI on the BOX OF YOUR LEGAL PURCHASED PHONE and that match's the sticker on the inside of your device as you are only restoring what was already assigned to it. other option. chargable repair via htc or a 3rd party

no when i trun on the phone is no gsm.

Your phone is blocked by the operator. Whoever sold you had it on contract and has either stopped paying the bill or has reported the phone lost or stolen. Orange sims will work for a very short time when they are first put into the hermes until the network picks up it is blocked. If you want proof just put the orange sim in a phone that works fine and make a couple of calls and then take it out and put it in the hermes and power it up and you will get a signal and it will work for a while then it will switch off again.
I would contact ebay and report him and if you paid by paypal i would contact them too. Well unless he stated that the phone was blocked already, in which case you havent got a leg to stand on.
If you are in the uk you can check if the imei is blocked by dialing this number, just follow the prompts and enter the imei when it asks, the number is 07956125820. Its a tmobile number for checking imei's out
When i bought this phone was difrent rom i change it for oragne now. i will make a movie whats problems i got with phone and i will put links on youtube in here i think u know what you doing. so if u got time help me.
Don't change anything.... Reread scousemartin's post, he already told you whats wrong. If you play around with it you aren't gonna get anywhere and its just gonna be a headache if you bought it off ebay. As its been modified by you, the seller will say YOU caused the problem so its NOT HIS/HER fault and you will be out of pocket with a useless phone.....
Hey i tryied to call this number but i got signal but no boady anwser. I will go to oragne or carphonewarehouse.
that number works, try calling it on a phone that isnt the one thats blocked
going to orange or the car phone warehouse wont be of any use as they are going to say exactly what i have told you, you have been ripped off by somebody on ebay. Why dont you just contact ebay and tell them they have sold you a phone thats been blocked in fact if it was me, i would post there ebay username all over the net
