No incoming phonecalls or messages while in standby

Hi guys,
i received my 2nd hand T-Mobile MDAII 2 days ago. When i powered it on, i saw that the WM2005 rom came from this site. Since i have a small "issue" with my phone i thought i would ask here (since google does not know the answer)
I love my new device, that's for sure. There's only 1 slight problem. To save some battery life, i turn on the setting to go in standby mode after 1 minute of not touching it. But when the phone goes in standby, i completly miss all incoming phone calls and text messages.
I tested this last night :
I send an text message to a friend of mine, asking him to send one back after 10 minutes. My phone goed into standby, and i wait. Half an hour later, no vibration (i hate ringtones) from an incoming message or call. When i pull my phone out of standby it suddenly vibrates because i have an incoming text message.
Is there a way that i can turn my phone into standby mode, but still receive incoming phonecalls and messages ? I now keep it on all the time, just letting the backlight go off but this consumes to much power i'm affraid.

Do not turn Screen on when receive SMS

Is there anybody that know of its possible te turn OFF, that when a SMS receive or a Event comming up, that the screen/device is not go on.
When I have my p3600 in my jacket or so and a SMS receive, then my device is turning on.
Sometimes I don't hear that and the p3600 start a few programms...
I don't want to lock my screen, because I must then everytime a turn the device on more actions do before I can do something.
When I become a email the p3600 go not on, thats what I want also for SMS and Events.
I have try to say 'not display on screen' but that isn't the solution.

SMS problem

Hi, my Htc touch dual SOMETHIMES doesn't receve messeges. Like last night,I try to send a new messsage from another cellphone to mine but only light on display just turned on, nothing else, there was no new messege. How to fix this problem?

I get that sometimees...
Sometimes it does that on mine..
Either you;
1. Press the Button at the top of phone then light it up again, slide then go to SMS messaging.. it might work.
2. Or you didn't send your previous message - 'Your Message Cannot Be Sent' So if you press ok then messages start coming through cause you didn't close that part to recieve messages.

No missed call /Sms alert shown?

Many times i missed miss call alert after phone died off when i am sleeping which lead to fail to return a call and fail to read Text message because there is'nt any alert shown.
for text message i have to open up my message box inorder to notice by looking at the timestamp.
is there any way to solve this problem. not even for phone battery dead. even sometime when my phone is in sleep mode. it jus wont shown any alert. thanks for reading

Screen On while receiving Text messages.... How to Disable (Any Ideas)

Every time I receive a text message my screen turns on. How can I turn that feature off. I just want it to notify me with the sound or vibration and not by turning on the screen every time. Please Advice, My phone 935FD is rooted.

I don't think there is a way to stop this other than changing to a different texting app like textra. I am using textra and I no longer have the screen waking up on my s7 edge after every text I receive, I either find out by the led or the vibration.
