Changing Phone Image

I have Qtek 2020i.
How can I change Phone image (button, backgound, etc)?

well it works on xda1's and xda2's so why not

Very strange programme.
After installing doesn't work. I can't search any shortcut of this prog in my device.

the default install path is \\program files\xda Phone skin chooser\
and the program is called xdaskinlauncher.exe

OK Works...
I reinstall this and all is working.

Pocketplus theme change?

I have installed Pocketplus 3 on my Wizard and it work great after disabling the saft boot "feature".
I tried to change to some of the theme preinstalled with pocketplus 3 to change the indicator icon without any effect.
Anyone has any luck using anything other then the default theme?

I have the same problem.. only workes if u send the .tsk file to eg my documents and installs it from there.. so far.....

On my Vario, the themes show up in the Today options, but selecting them does not load them. The theme is still Windows default, or one of the other ones that came with the phone. Too bad, wold have liked to use the same theme I was used ot on my magician. How des installing them from another folder ( like my documents) work? just copy them there? But how to select them then?

those who are having problems installing themes. sbsh had a workaround. goto settings/today and highlight the theme you wish to use. locate the tsk file and copy to root. rename tsk to cab. install the file. goto settings/today/items exit. it seems to work without problems.
I just tried this method and works. Hope this help with anyone that is using PocketPlus.

Is there a way to get the full i-mate blue skin with TyTn?

I hate the green look & feel but changed to the South African TyTn ROM as reccomended here. Now, the dialer, the Comm Manager and others are Green. I would like to give the phone the entire JasJam look & feel without HR. Any idea how should I do it?

The problem is that I cannot write into the exended ROM in this version. I always get an error: Media Protected.
I tried fit4cat & the cab from WIKI. Both did not help. Is there a way for me to run this from another place than the Ext. ROM?

hi, once you downloadthe extended rom from the wiki, just extract all the cabs to your PC and copy the required CAB to your devices main memory or sd card. then run it from your ppc.
it shoudl work, you dont have to copy it to your ext.rom

Thanks mate for trying to help but I'm afraid it does not work for me. Took JasJam Ext. ROM and tried to run it from the memory card. It says "customizing" but I keep "enjoying" the HTC green. I have no idea why but somehow the i-mate skins do not appear in the Today settings after I install the CAB.

Don't run the auto-run. Just run each cab file one at a time.

which cab file deom the jasjam ext.rom do i need in order to get the imate blue skin?

Running all the cabs from the SD does not work for me. Which cab is creating this skin? Am I the only one who doesn't like the TyTn green?

i have the trinity (it use the name green look & feel) as the TYTN.
what do i need to install in order to have the JASJAM look and feel?

Looking and searching everywhere, I couldn't find an answer to the same problem.
Running the Qtek AUK 3.3 ROM, I can then install a blue skin, however, the colours used in the dialer make it hard to read: black text, on blue button.
I have manually installed all the cab file located in the original JasJam EXTROM, but it will not change the green/lime colour used by default in the Qtek.
If I reset the jasjam with the Qtek ROM just after a hard reset, then it'll use the blue skin (which appears to be the default) but in this case the smart dialler will not be activated.

Alternative ExtROM for Swampy´s Manila2D rom

Lots of thanks to Swampy395 for his rom and for pointing me in the right direction
FEATURES:
Added:
- Voip working, Just run Sip Config tool and in the proxy server enter for example sip.vyke.com (and you
can open a free account with them and get 1$ just go to www.vyke.com)
DO NOT install their client for Windows Mobile, it makes the blueangel very unstable
- Added Data_Backup 3.1
- Updated the M2DC config tool to .27
- Google.com opens by default in English
Removed:
- Windows live, I don´t even know what is it good for
- ArcsoftMMS, I have never sent an MMS in my life and don´t intend to start doing that in the near future

I wanted a different default skin but not willing to use one but hold two inside the precious memory
Also I removed the analog clock bmp files in the cab as this skin has no analog clock so they are not needed
My modded manila2d 0.11 cab file weights 12188KB

INSTALATION:
You should first install Swampy395´s BA_Manila2D rom (if you don´t have it already)
This modded Manila2d has been tested only on
Swampy´s BA_M2D_CE_OS_5220275__Build_20275.1.3.3_V3
The M2D CABs are based on Explodes and Edited a bit by Swampie and myself Enjoy
Instructions

the screen Just wait then set date & time ENJOY

PS I Fixed that link and 10 mins later it don't work again always had trouble with that extrom link?
Also It should work just fine with all my BA ROMs

The largefilesasap link should work fine (also very fast to upload) and no waiting time but it expires 72 hours from now
Knowing of the problems you´ve had with rapidshare for ExtRom I have now used megaupload may be it lasts longer over there.
By the way is there any reason why some of the default manila2d graphic files have to be on a folder of their own rather than \Windows ?
Having it all on \Windows would make it much easier to mod the default skin
By the way after installation of my Manila2d ExtROM I have 34Megs of Storage memory free

All the graphics files were originally in the \windows folder but because of the extra hundreds of files in the folder, it was found to slow down windows significantly. Therefore, Xplode moved them to a seperate subdirectory to reduce the file count in \windows and speed up the response time.

1-what is ROM ?
2-if it put tf3d rom or another it will delete all files in the system ( like hard reset ) ?
3-is tf3d is like a panel ( spb mobile shell ) or will delete windows mobile system?
4-what is GeoTagging in camera ?

From what ive gathered by using roms my self... i have found the following:
1. What is a rom?
it is basically the thing that make the user interface look the way it looks. The default windows today panel is the default rom which the phone comes with. TF3D rom will replace that and make it look like a HTC Touch HD. you can install it as a panel by following this link-

Download TouchFlo3D on Xperia X1 cab and TouchFlo3D as Panel Installer Installer.
Install TF3d first, softreset, then go to settings, today, items and untick every thing. then soft reset.
Now install TF3d panel installer. soft reset. then just choose the panelas younormally would.
2. A rom will edit certain windows files to make it look and behave in a different way, but it would still be the windows interface. if you install another rom, it will erase all files on phone. and replace certain windows files.
