In the XDA FTP secton ,there is a CAB file to disable security
If you dont know where is the FTP, please use the search button, or go to wiki of xda dev and near the bottom there is a link to FTP tutorial
Ive spent most of the afternoon searching, Ive run the following cab file which I believe you are referring to Default_Signed_DisableSecurity.CAB if it isnt then be a good chap and point me at the right file name, the search engine on this site isnt that accurate!!!!
Oh and it doesnt help trying to make smart comments, if you dont want to help then please dont post. not everyone asks a question without doing research beforehand.

First of all, Yes, that is the file I was talking about.
Second, if you read my post correctly, I was commenting on using the SEARCH option with regards to HOW TO ACCESS the FTP site. as there are a lot of people who do not know how to access the FTP site and in the wiki, it is very carefully explained on how to do it.
So, if you think I am making smart comments, then I kinda feel offended. I was trying to help. and am not sure I did but I don't see any SMART COMMENT in my reply. Did I say you didnt research? How come you go off all agressive?
Please be clearer regarding what part of my reply was a "SMART COMMENT" so I know what went wrong.
If I offended you then I appologise, I have been on many forums, when I ask a quesiton the first person that reads the post generally comes back with a do a search or look in the FTP assuming that I have not already done that. I always exhaust all avenues that I can before posting. I have tried the Hacks over and over to no avail. the error message is still there. The CAB file in quesiton was extracted from an XDA2S so may be incompatible??

No prob, we are all here to help eachother. Since the XDA2S is WM2003SE and not WM5 maybe this is the problem. What thas this particular CAB file do? Maybe someone can suggest an alternative

Has that something to do with BlackBerry? What does it do?
Its the Blackberry software for PDA's unfortunately it seems to be locked to BlueAngel at the moment, I would be keen to find a Universal WM5 version!!

What is the password of the .rar?
Check the page given.
The page says you have to register and give these personal information to someone else (I don't want people to use my information to date, I don't know what they want to do with that).

Artemis - Roms - Live On My Site

Hello
Just to let you know that my website is finally gone live and that i am going to upload 4 roms that i currently have onto the website.
The structure of the site will be simple just navigate to roms folder and click to download.
It will be about 8pm before everything is uploaded properly.
PM me if you have ROMS that you can upload and i will then link them in onto the site.
If you have Extended Roms, tools anything for Artemis PM me and you can then upload them and i will then create the links for download.
Thanks
l6cum
PS the site is www.our-xda.co.uk
Nice one!
I'll see what's there once the upload finishes. If I've got something new I'll let you know.
I also have some files to contribute.
How can I upload them?
Why don't you contribute/cooperate with wm-gurus.com. Think it is a nice idea on my behalf
hmm
I can see only this massege:
Welcome to Our XDA website
Please feel free to download Roms, Tools, Extended Roms etc
This is a service from an XDA user for the whole community.
Thanks
l6cum

Yes. WM-gurus is the exact copy of the ftp site of xda-developers, including all other files, and not only Artemis ROMs.
Can you give direct link to wm-gurus.com?
cheers ...
Sorry but you cannot register at this time because the administrator has disabled new account registrations.
Can anyone give me link for FTP site?
Thank You.
the www.our-xda.co.uk is now live
i still have 2 roms to uplooad but that takes half an hour each so will be done by tonight. all the extended roms are on there that were on the xda ftp site so if you have more roms/est rms etc pm me.
thanks
A really nice idea But is it wise to launch a website, containing ROMs when XDA Developer.com just received mails from Microsoft, forbidding them to host any ROMs containing Microsoft Software? But apart from that, i really appreciate your work, thanks!

Radio ROMS always down?!?!?!?!

do you know how annoying it is to go onto the Wiki and try and download the latest Radio rom EG: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Hermes/HERM_Radio_Only_1.48.00.00_CustomRUU.rar
and only to find that the link is non existant! has someone deleted it from the FTP? GRRRR!!!
sorry ... can't the wiki host all the files on RapidShare or something?
anyone know of a location for the radio versions .. i dare not to use google as this may throw up ones that will brick my phone ...
i've tried searching, the 1.47.5 radio came up but there are no comments on the post so i assume it could be dangerous :/ ... help?
many thanks
EDIT:
i'm using WM6, Sleuths Developer Varient v3 just FYI, on Hermes

PeerGuardian (Firewall/IP Blocker) saw the FTP as a bad site and silently blocked it ... thanks guys, just silly me not checking firewall happily downloading now!
