Has anybody else had problems with software not fitting the screen properly and 'falling' off the edges with no scroll bars or anything to bring it back. I assume that this is do do with the differences between 2003se and WM5. I have tried the screen in both configurations and no change.

Has anyone else experienced the following problem:
After using the k-Jam for a while (often after a lot of opening/closing the keyboard), my screen alignment gets out of whack. Basically the touch-screen alignment moves by about an icon's (e.g. the close application icon) width to the right.
If I do a soft reset, most of the time this fixes the alignment (though sometimes I need to run through a screen alignment wizard again to correct it).
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what might be happening?
Thanks!
Happens to me but I don't do a soft reset. I have seen this many times before in the past with other devices from different companies. What is happening is that the flexi-lead from the display to the keyboard is moving as they normally add lubicant to the flexi-cable port. What I have found that works and is quicker than a soft rest or align the screen is to simply open and close the keyboard fully.
Hi,
I have a problem with the front panel buttons on my tytn.
The mail/IE, D-pad etc and call buttons dont work.
Often they don't light up.
When they do, they often don't switch off when turning off the tytn
Occasionally, they do work.
I have tried taking hte machine to bits and looking at the ribbon cable attachments - they seem OK. Sliding the keyboard out doesnt seem to alter anything.
I tried flashing up to WM 6.1 from 6.0 but that didnt help
Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks

Seems to have fixed itself at the moment
Am I the only one that seems to be having a major issue with this? It comes up more with the added on screen keyboard in 1.5, it seems.
The corners of the G1 screen do not respond to touch at all, and I find myself always having trouble hitting the keys on the corners of the virtual keyboard. Applications that require you to touch any corner of the screen with precision (ie tic-tac-toe) are annoying as well because it's difficult to get it to work.
Is there any fix in sight or is it a hardware limitation?
definitely a hardware limitation.
hardware limitation means: normal hardware limitation or limited due failure????
I only experience this problem with the right edge of my phone. The top, left, and bottom don't have any problems.
Touch also seems to be less sensitive when the phone is rested flat.
My phone has the sensitivity problem on the edges too (mostly on the right and top sides).
For example, it's almost impossible to drag an icon to the left screen, because it doesn't seem to reach the threshold area.
The protective screen (boxwave anti-glare) made the problem even worse, but since it's much more comfortable than the glass, I won't be taking it off.
The easiest way to test all this is to use the whiteboard application.
So, I ask the developers: Please don't place the buttons on the edges of the screen!
The worst apps in this regard I've seen so far were the Video player (don't remember its exact name, its seek slider was unusable), and the sudoku with the number chooser in the bottom. OpenHome's app slider has the same problem.
Do you know if there is an app or a way to calibrate the capacitative panel?
All the functions have shifted to the right. My meaning exactly is that i have to press the phone button to the far left hand region in order for it to work, while the top and the bottom side of the scroll wheel are unusable. The right hardware key on the scroll wheel works almost never as well.
Does anyone else has experienced this.
I am sure this is not rom related since i have flashed the diamond several times.
Do you think it might got fixed if i changed my hardspl version from 1.40 to 1.39?
Has anyone else experienced these problem?
Can you help me sort this out? i really like this phone.
Guys, I changed the housing of my old P4350.
Everything works perfectly. Screen, buttons, keyboard, etc.
Tha only issue is that the screen is not rotating when I slide the keyboard.
What did I miss?
anyone please?
no one? please help
Probably is only a frosen image If you leave the keyboard out for a while at one point the image should rotate if this is not the case you should try to soft-reset the phone or change to a more stable rom that may help and u will see a difference.
Worse case you may need to dismantle it again, there is a sensor between the screen an the keyboard that rotates the screen as it slides, I know is a pain to take it apart again. I also did replace my HTC 4350 with a black housing but did not encounter that problem.
good luck.
