Preserve timestamp when copying file from PC to XDA - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Is there a way to preserve date and time stamp of a file as we copy it from computer to XDA? Because i noticed that everytime i copy a file from my computer to my XDA, the Date Modified of the copied file in my XDA wont reflect the original Date Modified in my computer. instead, it would stamp the current date

files won't transfer

For some reason files won't transfer off my XDA Exec. I have tried reinstalling activesync and that made no difference whatsoever. It displays the files as transferring, but then when it finishes, the file never appears in the destination folder. please help!

Android Question?

Okay so I used a .EXE file I found on a site and my phone shows the android application but when I click it, it doesn't load how do I load android..?
To launch Android, run "HaRET" using the phone's File Explorer app.
It might not be strictly necessary, but you'll probably have better luck if you put all the files needed to boot Android (HaRET, the .img file, etc) in the root directory of your uSD card. I discovered the hard way that if you unzip the files and copy them to a subdirectory (say, "//Storage Card/AndroidXXX"), then proceed to launch HaRET from that subdirectory, itseems to ignore one or more of the files in that directory and will use the files in "//Storage Card" instead.

Recover >13.5MB

Been doing this since the very first xda.
I'm sure lots of people do the same but I thought I wanted to share with the new members this trick.
Unzip the attached file and see if you need any of them and if you do remove or do not overwrite those original files.
Using other than the file explorer say Resco or Total look for the original files inside the Windows folder and rename the file extensions to say ".old".
Once you have renamed the ones you do not want or need overwrite with the files I have provided.
After that delete the ones you changed to for example ".old" extension.
Reset and you would have recovered more than 14,178,834 bytes.
thanks a lot, was looking for smth like this!

[Q] Hide files on HD2 WP7

Does anybody know how can I hide word documents and some jpeg files on my HD2 with WP7 running on it ?
Sync the files normally through Zune.
You can then use TouchExplorer to copy the files from the Zune/contents sub directories.
Rename them in the new directory, and delete the original ones.
Shouldn't show up in your Whats new, etc after you remove them from the original PC Zune folders.
Doesn't work....still showing up after I copied an image into the documents folder and deleted the old one. I even changed the file extension from jpg to .jjj.....go figure?
