I have a trouble connecting to a terminalserver when I am connected to Wlan. When using GPRS or GSM I can connect to my office server with no problem.
When using Wlan at home the server always times out. When I am on my work lan I get the question about adding a VPN or proxy. Since we do not use VPN or proxy I do not realy do not now what to do.
Are you not able to connetct to terminalserver via Wlan?
Best regard to all.
Hi
I've upgraded my Qtek 9000 yesterday evening, and since that, I have not been able to create any VPN-connection.
Also, when I configured Exchange connection in ActiveSync, I can't connect when I use the servername, however ActiveSync connect if I type the IP-address.
No problems until yesterday
Any one here had success with a L2TP connection and A2DP?
Best regards
okhansen
Can anyone connect to VPN (PPTP) using WM5 via wireless or GPRS?? When i use my old XDAIIi or II, i can connect by now using WM5 i cannot.
Hope those can connect please share. tks.
I can connect to a Windows 2000 PPTP VPN via wireless -- make sure that in Settings/Network Cards/Network Adapters, your network card is set to connect to the Work network.
Also, in Settings/Connections/Advanced/Select Networks, make sure that the lower droplist (private network) is configured to use the Work network.
Aside from those two items, I can't think of any other gotchas.
Ya still doesn't work......
do you know what the vpn device is that you are trying to connect to?
windows servers tend to be quite reliable. there are known issues with some checkpoint and cisco devices.
Hello,
I am having the same problem! I cant connect via VPN (PPTP) to my Windows Server 2003 RAS setup. It works perfectly fine on my laptop over the internet but when I try to connect using my Cinguar 8125 I get a generic "Invalid username/password' kind of error message. I have tried several differnt things, but I was wondering if there are security settings that are turned off or something like that? I actually have my RAS policy to let any device establish a VPN connection (obviously as long as it is authenticated) so I dont know what to do next... any suggestions??

For me works fine. I have only 2 connections:
a) my isp, with gprs configuration for vodafone
b) my work network, with the vpn connection definition (ip address, user, passw and domain)
I have it set up the same way and I still get the password issue... what kind of policies do you have in RAS?

did you uncheck the security in the connection with the server?
take care with the name user, times exchange get crazy: server/user or only user name for the user field...
Public IP

Hi! I am not an Network expert at all, but here in Norway with one teleoperator we have to use a special access point name on My Work Network connection to get a public IP-address so Network accepts the connection. Perhaps nothing to do with your problem, but also we experience a lot of PDA users having no problem with pre-WM5 devices and much problems with WM5 devices and VPN
Hi Everyone well this has me stumped; : my hp ipaq 6828 connects to my access point ok I can ping locally and to the net and get replies but IE wont display web pages either from my local web server or the net. The error I get is "the page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost" . My AP works ok as my wife has a jasjam with the latest roms and wm6 - "thanks guys" and has no problems. However when I use GPRS on the ipaq, IE works fine. The roms are the latest according to HP 1.00.03 wwe and 1.00.01 bl. I am using the HP IPAQ wifi Wireless adapter, DHCP is enabled and I can see the mac address in the wireless table on the AP. Any suggestions - cheers Dene
did you change it in settings->connections under advantage to use my network rather then my isp ?
IE not displaying anything using WiFi
Hi Rudegar Thanks Ive found the problem , IT was the proxy setup in the GPRS setting dont know why it wanted to go the the GPRS when using WiFi anyway thanks
cheers Dene
Has anyone successfully used l2tp VPN on their windows mobile (6) ?
I am trying l2tp via "VPN connections" - but the device only dials to the internet, and immediately disconnects, complaining about the username/password - WITHOUT SENDING ONE BIT OF DATA. The device is Ultimate 8150.
VPN works fine on WM5
Any help is appreciated.
Has anyone successfully configured VPN in Windows Mobile 6 ?
I'm facing the exact same problem on Hermes device with WM6.
Have you found a solution ?
