New minimo browser version, supports WM5 (?) - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

The minimo (Mini Mozilla) project released a new version of their browser on Thursday. Version 0.010 claims to support Windows Mobile 5 as explained in this brief announcement: http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=7616
Has anybody tried this latest release?

Does minimo support VGA?

Blimey, I didn't know why people were complaining about performance until I installed this. took about 30 secs to install. Tried running it - nothing seemed to happen. Being impatient, I reset the machine and tried running it again. NOTHING. Waited a couple of minutes - nothing.
Pressed the Windows key - eventually, the menu appeared. I pressed "s" to go to settings (so I can go to Memory and Stop All Running Programmes). Erm, That was about 3 minutes before i started typing this post. The windows start menu is still there. Waiting.
Ho hum, I'll give it 1 more minute before resetting and uninstalling.

OK, I've rid my handset of that awful POS. I'll revert to my "I'll only install software from MS or software that I write myself"
A former colleague of mine, a quite capable s/w engineer, had for his sig "All software is crap". How true

Sorry xiasma. Looks like I've given you some hassle there. Thanks for trying it on our behalf though!
Guess minimo falls back to the 'Discarded' pile again then.

Just to chime in here, I've had a similar experience, although I didn't suffer such a severe slowdown. Just nothing happened. Did a soft-reset and still no go...
Uninstalling for the moment....

PocketZenPhone really screwing up!

Okay, I went against everything I know and bought the software untested. Boy do I regret it.
I have a Cingular 8125. I installed PocketZenPhone and instantly started having problems. The unit now plays the Activesync noise about every five minutes for no aparent reason.
Last night I went in to customize the settings for bed and my phone lost it's cell connection and couldn't place calls. I soft reset the unit and still no service. I reset PZP back to it's default settings, no service. I deleted PZP and still no service. It took a hard reset to restore my cell service. I just re-installed PZP and it's doing the same thing.
Whenever I go into Tools and try to scroll thru the different modes with the arrows, it pops up the "Save Changes" dialogue even though I didn't change anything. I click on "Cancel" and it goes back to the mode I was trying to change. I try to view and it goes to the "Save Changes" screen again. There's no way to view the other modes without saving changes that I haven't made.
I DO NOT recommend buying this software. The author should make a demo available to test on your unit.
Incidentally, the only other apps I had installed were Pocket Informant, Resco Utilities, Registry Wizard, SKtools, WiFiFoFum and Flexmail. None of the programs had been changed in days. The no service problem started after install PZP.
Anyone else with similar issues?
my phone started doing the constant active sync noise too and I could never figure out why. It still does long after uninstalling PZP. I wonder if theres a way to fix this without a hard reset. Maybe I'll just wait till I upgrade the rom, but I've been putting off upgrading because I wanted to wait for a new version that had a clock instead of a battery icon at the top.
I just downloaded the PZP beta 6 and I'm going to give that a try.
As for the ROM upgrades, I'm baffled. I've unlocked my phone and I have the ROM from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=45295, I just don't know if I want to install it.
I just posted at the developers site and I'll see what he has to say.
Glad I'm not the only crazy one
WOW
after installing the pocketzenphone I had to Hard reset because it would not boot up anymore, thats really @#$% up, the good thing is I had a backup... but very upset because I kinda like the idea of this software. Oh Well, anybody else has/had this problem?
WOW PZP never did those things to my 8125. I have the orginal rom installed never changed anything like that. I did find that I has some phantom alerts and I could never figure out what the heck it was trying to alert on as it was not any messages or appointments, I tossed it up to just a crazy check that I could never find in the options. But after I went through and customized all the settings for each profile the way I liked it, the phantom alerts ended.
It never locked up my phone, although my phone does routinely loss signal and goes into search mode for about a 1-2 minutes randomly during the day and that I can't solve or blame on any one thing!!!!! It is the most annoying bug of the phone so far.
I ended up giving up on PZP, yes after I purchased it with no trial, and moved onto PhoneAlarm, skinnable and it worked and was easy to see why the hell it was alerting you and was easy to dimiss... So at $20 it was a bit steep but I like the functionality and it worked for the most part. It still does not play nice with the back light, but I think I figured out settings to minimize it turning off the back lighting vs setting it to a lower value.
No I doubt you are crazy, PZP seemed to be a good profile switcher and an alright repeating alarm notification. There are acknowledged problems with having it switch profiles based on calendar events, but I really don't use it for that so I did not try it out....

well, instead of complaining i'd suggest to conact PZP's author and submit it as a bug. it's always so easy to complain, isn't it..? but remember - not everything is perfect and if you'd like it to be perfect or almost-perfect - give a feedback to author. i'm sure he would like to make his application as best as he can, but without any feedback he won't do anything in that matter!
i'm using PZP without any problems, i really don't know why do you and others have such issues, but personally i think PZP is really good piece of software. there are few things which i don't like and i wrote it to author. he responded quite quickly, thanked for feedback and said that some new stuff is coming with new 6.0 version. however, whole case's bottomline is - FEEDBACK IS VERY IMPORTANT. always.

I agree with eva_d:
1. No major problems for me on a TMO-USA MDA. I am using the Version 6 Beta 10.
2. I find it very useful. There are a few minor issues, but...
3. The developer of PZP is very responsive. Visit http://zendrui.free.fr/PZPForum/ and leave a message... and/or check out the newest beta to see if your problems aree already solved!

What the h*** are you talking about??? The guy bought, I repeat BOUGHT, as in spent money, the software and he is entitled to complaining as much as he wants if the product he purchased didn't deliver what was promissed. Yes, he should contact the developer and ask for a solution/ refund, but complaining and letting other potential buyers know about the issues is exactly the type of stuff that puts pressure on the companies to work hard to deliver good products and be responsible for their mistakes when they start selling a deffective product. I too had problems with PZP, but since I was using a trial, I simply uninstalled it. Great concept, not reliable AT ALL.
Man, am I tired of J.A.'s that act as if they were a superior form of life that's burdened with the task of teaching lesser beings moral values and forum rules. Gimme a break!

Thanks eva_d and malencar for the backup! I didn't mean to come off as totally slamming the programmer, but if I can keep other people from having to waste their money, great.

Why do people keep upgrading ROMS?

I know I am going to cause some trouble by asking this but why?
On taking my new Orange SPV M600 out of the box, I have to agree a bit sluggish, but this was mainly due to Windows.
After a little tweaking with the registry and some third party software it is now flying.
I originally thought that putting third party software over the top of the system would slow it even more, but know, the opposite was true. Using the standard windows task bar and start menu was dreadful. I tried a number of third party softwares such as True Toolbar, Handyswitcher etc, finally settling on Wisbar deluxe.
Everything now opens as soon as it is selected no nasty lag like windows. With some skinning and removal of Customised Today the phone looks great and is performing great. That is apart from my wired hands free. I can now answer and close calls with the button, but it does not activate voice dial when pressed, so I can't dial out hands free. All prevoius phones, Nokia and SE did this no problem, so why not this phone?
Anyway, back to the point of ROMS, why keep flashing?
I just got me one of those SPV M600 things and its not that slow, but I havent added anything else to it yet. Would you care to elaborate on "registry tweaks"? Im new to XDA/phones and havent started messing about yet.
I can not remember all of the tweaks I used, but there is a big section somewhere in here listing them. I have them somewhere on the computer but my filing is a mess and I can't remember what I called the text file or where I put it.
Basically the tweaks are just simple things like increasing cache size for fonts, programs etc. Moving file storage off main memory to SD card, disabling and enabling etc. It is claimed by doing this that the system will speed up a little. I am not sure if any of these actually did anything or if it is just down to Wisbar. All I can say is that when I click on a program it fires up straight away, before it could take a second or two.

Actually, the rule about flashing is: If it's not broken don't fix it.
People upgrade because they want to get rid of bugs or add features like AKU 2.0 that includes push mail and some other stuff.
Also some brands are better that others in some ways, and worse in other ways. There are several ROMs for the Prophet: Dopod, i-mate, Qtek, Orange. Finally some people cook their own ROMs throwing out useless stuff and adding apps they 'must have'.
All in all if you are pleased with your phone there is no need to change the ROM. When I got my Jamin it had the i-mate 1.xx ROM so I upgraded to 2.13 to get the AKU 2.0 goodies.
I always belive the latest is the greatest, even if its not. I still run the latest. While the release notes say "Added this, fixed that" they also contain a lot of fixes and changes not documented.
Hi all.
Thats actually a very good question. From my experience you dont really need to change anything. Maybe as you said some registry tweaking or some basic settings. However as someone already said, the golden rule should be if it is not broken dont try to fix it.
On the other hand you might want to change things with no reason, just because you can.. and I have to admit that it is hard not to do. Then you have to make sure that you know what you are doing cause otherwise you might end up spending your day in forums try to fix whatever you &^%$ up..
Take care.
Thanks for the replies.
I have to admit, when I first got the phone I started tweaking, then I found this forum and others. Once I discovered unlocking and flashing ROMS, I was very close to doing it. Then I remembered what I used to be like on my PC. With old systems like Win ME, I used to spend about 70% of my time tweaking and fixing, and only 30% actually using the damn thing. Not what I want out of a phone.
Just by messing around with skins, I have already managed to lose my phone dialer all together, I was left with a blank screen, so I had a phone that could not phone. I have it nicely skinned and running now, but I was never able to get the Orange dialer back.
Guess the only time I will flash my ROM is when there is a genuine update and it is covered by warranty, that way if the ROM is bad, Orange can give me another phone.
Thanks
I look at it same way as i look at windows.
My windows isn't broke but I always use Windows Update.
Why do YOU update windows, if you do at all. I guess im not sure if this is advisable, but that's just the way i do it.
Regarding upgrading ROM, MOST of the time, it makes the device faster and adds more features ( i never install extended ROM ) so I always upgrade when there is a new one.
I've downgraded ONCE. And only the RADIO because 1.11 didn't agree with my device.
There are ways to Backup the device, change to a different BRAND/VERISON of ROM then restore the backup. This makes changing ROM very easy.
Anyway, I have nothing better to do with my time so i upgrade whenever a new ROM comes out.
Sorry to but in again but I simply must disagree with the Windows update analogy.
I have my PC set to auto update as well, but Windows XP runs updates in the background and doesn't delete you data in the process.
ROM upgrade means HARD RESET, and unless you have a good backup a long restore process.
Also there is the danger of communication / power interrupt during the flashing and a bricked device as a result.
Finlay, like with your radio ROM, some OS updates have new bugs as well as fixes for the old.
But I do wish it was as simple as updating windows - then I would say, update away, couldn't hurt.
My analogy was based only on the reason for updating, not the process itself that you are stating.
What I mean is if your windows works, why update?.... This thinking... Not the "ritual"...
Sorry i did not explain that clearly. The guy just asked why update if you are content with what you have.... It has nothing to do with "I would update only if the process were simpler" like what you stated.
Sorry for the misunderstanding
I upgrade because I can cook my own ROM with better application suite

Because it's full of holes and most of the updates are plugging them.
I think the main point is you dont have to upgrade, you can if you want, its a matter of choice.
I like to always update, some like to keep the same and have never hard reset in their life. Im on my 9th this week :S but it is a new device and im still figuring it all out.

Hmm, then i guess your advice to NewSPV is to upgrade.
Me too, as i said in earlier post, i will always upgrade to the newest ROM, then just downgrade if i don't like the changes. Unfortunately it isn't as easy to downgrade from Windows SP2 hehehe

I was talking about Windows, not WM5.
My phone came shipped with an AKU2 rom and it's fine - after a little tweaking. I'm not going to risk bricking my pride and joy with a rom upgrade - as so many people have done already on this forum.
Can anyone name some good places to read about how to flash your device with a new ROM?
Also, I was wondering about what the "extended ROM" is. Is it basically partitioning part of your storage card for use as "internal memory" ?
Thanks for the info guys!

Look at the top left of this very page and you will see a link to the wiki section of this site. How to flash is in there.
The extended rom is where the operator adds thier own customisations (over and above what M$ provide) to the device, for example Orange and O2 add their own options in there and they install when the device is powered up for the first time or when it's hard reset. If you get access to the extended rom (again look in the wiki) you can manipulate what gets installed and if you're really clever, add some of your own stuff.
Don't ask me how to do these things as I have not tried myself, the risk of bricking the device is too great for my liking.
cool, thanks paul

Actually, it is virtually impossible to brick your device by manipulating the contents of the extended ROM. It is only accessed once, during first boot, and event that can be avoided by quickly soft resetting the device.
Basically it acts exactly like "file store" used to on WM 2003 devices, the only difference being it is hidden so ordinary users won't get rid of the operator junk.
In my case it was very nice of i-mate to provide various goodies there like voice dial (should be in ROM) anti virus (not only useless but damaging crap) Skype (could have just downloaded from their site, but nice thought) and backgammon (toys are always welcome).
But now ofter the initial installation it makes all the sense in the world to save these cabs (9MB~) to my PC and have extra 10 MB storage on the device.

Spb Shell Landscape bug...

Hi all. As it is a recognised bug in Spb Shell that the Spb Menu does not display correctly in Landscape only, from a cold boot until you have navigated through some of its menu's (then it works perfectly until the next soft-reset), I was wondering if anyone had come across a simpler solution to this current problem.
Has anyone else experienced a slowing down of the O/S with it installed or memory leakage?
I 've looked around at previous threads and other sites, but I've either missed it or it doesn't exist.
I'm running version 1.0.0, Build 2632
Is there a newer version available? If so, can someone please provide a link as I cannot find anything at Spb's site.
Cheers
C'mon people. I know I'm not the only one to experience this as I have read a long thread about this on the developers website. It's just sometimes us end-users find ways around these types of issues and I was hoping this was one such time......No takers? OK, I'll simply report back the solution for all the shy ones once I have found it myself.

glad to help, haha, you don't know what you have miss. I was surprise at first why my phone doesn't ring.
My mVoice software suffers from a similar bug. I think I had another program that did this also but I don't remember which it was. Long since deleted it.
My camera doesnt work when mobile is running,it just comes up blank.
I did have the same issue, however after installing true VGA, i no longer suffer from this issue; works perfectly.
what???????????????????????????
how did you get mobile shell to work with truevga?
several people including me don't get mobile shell to work (at least not the today plugin).
after installing i can't go to the today screen anymore. it gets stuck there. i need to go back to vga mode and uninstall it or hardreset.

Yes, your quite right, you need to take the main spb shell today plugin out. However, the other plugins like world time and contacts etc can still remain. It is quite stable....
The problem is caused by the ATI videocard. It is not correctly supported bij SPB. Weeks ago I was in contact with SPB and I showed them this problem. The first 7 or 8 times that you use the menu nothing happens. At that point all te graphic memory get flushed. After the is no driver buffer memory left, it will show the icons. But at that point the camera and the sounds will not work anymore until you reset your device.
Bloody ATI/AMD...they suck!!!

This ATI Imageon chip/driver is becoming the bain of my life!! Video performance is lacking due to it, and now it affects other applications and sound too.
I have been complaining about ATI since September 2006, specifically the 2282 Imageon technology found in the Hermes, Trinity and now the Athena. That's a lot of unsupported devices floating around out there. According to Corecodec, ATI haven't exactly been playing ball with them either...and they are developers!
Maybe if enough of us complain (large petition) to HTC, they can get ATI/AMD to get a fix together that will work on all Imageon based devices..WM5/6 . After all, HTC must be shelling out a fair few dollars to them...so if they will listen to anyone, it most likely will be HTC. Enough already...wish I had stuck to my guns and stayed away from any more devices that are Imageon 'disabled'. lol.
P.S. Oh by the way...if Spb haven't or cannot fix this by their next release, Spb Shell is coming off my Ameo and I will be demanding a FULL refund on the basis that it does not work as advertised on my WM5 device.
P.P.S Another good reason is that if Spb don't get it fixed by the next release, it's probably that they can't as they will need tech assistance from ATI/AMD and based on their track record with Corecodecs coreplayer, I'd say the possibility of this happening is slim to none. Just my experience over the last 8 months.

thought you maybe had a solution for this.
i love the mobile shell today plugin, don't need the menu or start screen. so the most important doesn't work.
i've already written this in their forum, they don't seem to care, said it's the realvga resolution which is causing the problem (i should uninstall realvga... right, cause mobile shell is so much more important, man).
well maybe, but i don't think it's a lot to ask for a realvga today plugin which would work fine (as every other plugin does too), esp. as one of the devolpers has a vga device.
quite poor support (i love the sbsh support who help you in every way they can and very fast). i'm not a fan of spb developing/developers, that's why i don't use their products anymore and won't buy new ones.

That's exactly what I've done. Disabled the menus and just use the Now screen. It's annoying 'cos I used it extensively on my Wizard.
One of the other problems is that when using Mobile Shell with SPB Diary, quite a lot of the screen is used up so only a days worth of appointments is usually shown.

If you have done the hard-reset and haven't install any program, and your sound doesn't work, then this is something serious and might not due to SPB shell.
so, spb shell is NOT working on x7500, right?

The potrait still wok, but the landscape didn't.

What are the main things that annoy you about the X1?

Im making this thread in the hope that we can make a joint list and things can get crossed off-
edit: i will add anything that may be possible to be corrected by software fixes. whilst things like " you have to open the case to get the sd card/soft reset are very valid, there is nothing we can do im afraid!!!
Here are a list of the main things that really annoy me:
1) It takes ages to open up the SMS inbox/missed calls, sometimes a few seconds
2) there is a delay between someone calling you and your phone ringing
3) Videos are very jerky and not smooth unless i convert them and all that stuff which i shouldnt need to. i assume this is because we cant make use of the hardware acceleration?
4) no good games- emulators dont work.
5) Ring tone too weak
6) vibrate too weak
7) when im on the phone and i get someone else on call waiting, the party i am speaking to cant hear what im saying
8) The close / ok button on the top right are way too small.
9) no official flash support for youtube...
10) opera keeps on crashing
8) When using the keyboard, just a small nudge on top of the screen turns it into portrait mode, annoying when sending a text.
9) The close / ok button on the top right are way too small.
10) Have to open the case to remove the SD-card
11) Lack of updates, news, panels, etc. from Sony Ericsson... not a single screenshot, news or anything since release
12) Hidden softreset button
") no good games- emulators dont work."
with wvga fix i have gotten all games i used on my old himalaya to work just fine
with x1 but of cause if you dont cound wvga fix
"10) Have to open the case to remove the SD-card"
yeah thats a problem
"other general responsive and delay issues"
seem to be a general windows mobile issue
at least i had them with all wm devices i had
13) no official flash support for youtube...
I don't think the removal of the back is a 'problem' but surely a fraking INCONVENIENCE.
I agree with all those points so far and could certainly list even more but unless this will become a 'rant post', makes no sense for me to post this. But if one looks at all the posts in here and all those problems that are posted, one will find that there is very much that is wrong with this X1.

Well it sure annoys me!
I find the lack of support and / or updates annoying too
I've gained new found respect for Nokia being used to Nokia Beta Labs.
+ The loud HangUp tone.
I'd like to find the person who came up with that and just smack him in the face!
/rant

id like to punch in the face the person that decided to have a 3 second delay in answering and hanging up the phone!!! what the hell is the point of that.

no problem here. otherweise, dont close the Programs and keep them running in the background. we have plenty of RAM ^^
4) no good games- emulators dont work.
WGA fix solves your problem ... well almost
5) Ring tone too weak
true, but ive experienced higher volume on different ROMs. so there probale is a way to change that
8) The close / ok button on the top right are way too small.
just use the "End Call" or OK button from your phone (lower right hard keys)
9) no official flash support for youtube...
uhm ... havnt tested it to the max yet but Opera plays all youtube videos and IE launches an extra media stream player. so no problem here.
10) opera keeps on crashing

also no problem here. try a different ROM perhapst?
the amount of complete fools who seem to have bought one just because its the latest SE phone, without bothering to research it.
Then become seemingly incapable of reading the manual and instead ask the same basic questions over and over again.....

or where to change the ringtone: arrrrggghhh!
But ""developers" forum and complaint no "offical" youtube support" is actually right,
as well why SE oficially didn't install bloody FlashLite 3.1 on it (as well as HTC's have it).
I mean - it shouldn't be my job to instantly tweak an expensive smartphone, right?
Anyway, one thing annoys me is OperaMobile 9.5 crashing in some situations.

I bet he was joking!
Nobody's perfect, no phone is perfect, but my SEX1 is the BEST OVERALL PHONE AROUND TO DATE
Please beware: MOST of your complaints are related to windows mobile and NOT the phone itself.
KEEP IN MIND: "windows" UI was designed 10 YEARS AGO for slow, low-mem PDAs with 320x240 screens. TEN YEARS later we are still using the same archaic obsolete UI (eg. white, simple background, tiny soft-keyboard, 2-options-on-each-tab menus for setting, no thumb-driven UI...). WM UI is a dinosaur and that's why HTC develped TouchFlo3D as a "mask" for windows´s ugliness and user-unfriendlyness, BUT the widespread windows platform lets many people develop apps, innovations, tweaks etc and that´s what this is all about
If I want to compaint, well, I can allways find something about any phone to complaint about...
Still want my 2 cents??
The lack of a REAL dedicated VOICE-REC button is killing me,
but that's only me, my usage, my world, my way...
Still remember the time when I was counting the day until SE release an "official upgrade" for their firmware for my P900 on their website. What a completely joke!
I'm not sure why you even bothered mentioning Nokia's support for their handsets, if you have a Win Mo device you are having access to the best support in the world.
Have a look around, upgrade your ROM because the stock ROM, be it your operator's or HTC's is crap, then you wouldn't have had the performance issues in the first place.
The X1 is easily the most stable device I ever had, and had owned quite a fair amount of XDAs in the past years, starting with O2 XDA

Has Anyone Tried the new Update from SEUS?

As some of you may know, SEUS has finally put up the R2A firmware for the X1. Someone from another forums said that the new official firmware is newer and has more features than the one that we can find in the ROM development section for R2A UK. Does anyone know the actual differences and whether or not it's worth the time to update?
its in the rom development section!
Norti has even has a list of what files have changed..
However I've been having a look and there's a huge amount of new files in the SYS that weren't in the last build.. (it looks like the "OS" folder wasn't populated in the "08" build).
Ive not flashed yet.
I'm sorry, but after looking for a few hours, I still cannot find the actual post. Is it possible that you can link me?
Thanks in advance.

If you're referring to that post, I have no idea what it means really.
I have NO idea how much or how little has changed but I have to give the new software a resounding HELL YEAH!
I don't see any different functionality yet. BUT........ my Xperia is AS fast after 4 hours on the Sony download as it was after a week WITH the R2A_UK and Xperiatweak memory tweak. The panel selection is super fast and access to menus as well as their selection is INSTANT!
It ran great on the R2A_UK downloaded off the boards but my Xperia is running like I expected it to run out of the box. I have loaded gtrags icons/taskabar, youtube+panel, facebook, advanced config, Tom Tom7.9 and run the hell out of all the programs. I have intentionally left all programs running in the background instead of closing and installed no memory tweaks at all.
With EVERYTHING I can run at one time going (including blue tooth and wifi AND enterprise push) I have had no lock ups. It slows down on video playback of course but this is the first load where I haven't had to poke the little stylus in it's favorite hole for a soft reset as soon as I start flogging it so soon after a fresh rom.
Be warned that the reload took 30 min for my Xperia to load from sony. I don't know why it took so long but it did.
Bottom line, what ever changes were made were surely small, but it really helped my unit run well. I may be only do to cache not having to catch up as much as with the previous two revs I have had.
So it is worth the trouble of updating?
Edit: Or should I wait for DuttyThroy's ROM.. hm...
I tried the SE-US for me swedish X1 and it told me I already had the latest FW. Is this new edition only for english devices?
Someone has posted an alarming thread, they said they updated to Rom2, through SE Update service, and the new ROM has no mobile office.
Please tell me they are wrong and mistaken
Is this the same update that was on emma a couple weeks ago?
About this mobile office thing:
it should be under START Menu, right after Today! Another way to test if office if there, open a doc in the phone...duh!

So you would suggest flashing to R2A010 from R2A008 then?
I would say yes, as I have seen a nice improvement over 8.
It has been suggested that maybe my 8 load wasn't a clean load and the 10 loaded directly from Sony was. I don't know, but I have seen a very nice improvement in the overall speed of function and video.
One funny thing is that when I tried the xperiatweak memory tweak, my phone actually slowed down a bit. Huh? I wonder why this is.

The response here for the new firmware over SEUS seems good, will update mine after I get back my phone for the casing replacement.
I have tried the SEUS and it tells me no update is available, this is for a UK O2 phone. Should I be able to update this?
Thanks
Ant
The one on SEUS for UK just now is for generic/not network locked phones. I'd imagine the O2 version will be online later this week or next at the latest.

Yup, go into the Xperia Rom forum and you'll find it there. It's very simple to do - dl the .exe file, extract it to get the image file, rename the file (details are in the forum, I forget), stick it on your micro SD card, restart the phone whilst holding volume down and power. It should then kick in automagically!

Trouble after the update!
I don't know if anyone is experiencing this problem but after the update i can not connect to the internet. I can connect to windows messenger and AIM. If i connect using Wi-Fi i have no problem using the internet but when i'm out and about i want to be able to access my internet. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or know how to downgrade the firmware?
