Seeing as using Activesync 4.0 via USB on a networked PC is currently a non-starter (yes, Microsft are due to release a fic in November but I won't hold my breath), has anyone succesfully sync'd to a networked PC using Bluetooth?

Can the O2 XDA 2 be sync'd via bluetooth with a laptop or is the USB cradle all we have to work with?

yes

That second link fixed things. I was getting confused with the part where I was clicking on "Get Connected" option in ActiveSync, on the PC, which was not finding my device.
I instead initiated the sync via the PDA using the Tools\Connect via Bluetooth which is what worked for me.
Hi
My device (Vario II) is longer working for ActiveSync via USB (don't have the option for Bluetooth Synch).
I use MS Exchange and AS 4.1 and have never previously had issues, everything synched perfectly. However, I have now had to start using Outlook Express (for a different company email) on the same computer and this seems to have completely messed up direct AS via USB. I can still sync OTA in the normal fashion but am getting a little frustrated in terms of not having it synched via USB.
I've messed about with AV Firewall settings, all relevant boxes ticked, and that's not making a difference!
Any ideas?
Cheers

Up until yesterday I could synchronize my HTC Touch HD with my PC using activesync and USB cable. I have since not been able to achieve the connection. another HTC phone that I have does sync fine using same cable and computer. I have reset both the PC and the Phone to no avail. I can sincronize fine over the GPRS and bluetooth conection and can get my e mail etc. However cannot down/up load files thorugh the USB connection since it does not kick in the computers active sync.
Anyone has an idea to solve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Hi there,
Have just been through a very strange situation here.
I am using BT mouse and keyboard on my PC. They have been working flawlessly, paired and connected without drama.
But when I was trying to connect my S8 to my PC, it always failed. The phone can successfully pair with the PC though.
If you try to send a file to the phone via BT from the PC, the phone can receive. But if vice versa, failed!
PC is using Windows 10 Home 64-bit. All drivers are update to date. Before I tried the BT with my S8, I used the Type-C cable first to connect (in case there is some driver needed to install on the PC), no issue at all. Then switched to BT, cannot connect!
Any clue guys?
Thanks heaps!
