Well, I hate to be the one to break the bad news, but you can make this work only by using an activation button on the Jam. I've tried everything and looked everywhere to find a work around for this problem...unless there is new news, we are SOL.
Hi,
I Would like to develop a call recording program for my O2 XDA Exec - WM 5.0
I found that the MS TAPI does not provide access to the phone conversation(uplink & downlink voices)
Could some one give me some ideas/pointers/links on how this can be done?
Thanks in advance,
Edison

Search for btaudio.exe, a small program that can toggle all sound to your bluetooth on/off OR btIO, which gives a tray icon with a pop-up menu to set that and other BT options.
for me the best thing to do is change
hklm\software\oem\voicecommand\voiceCmdDuration = 99999
then to toggle this feature on and off change
same place\launchApEnable
1 for on and 0 for off
if its off then it will send audio to your headset

Well actually, Voice command will still work if you trigger it from your device and not the headset.
When BTAudio is enabled, all sounds go through the headset, but clicking on the multifunction button on the headset will not start Voice Command, you need to do it from the PDA.

Incorrect...if I understood you right. I just tested this and my Voice Command works perfectly with or without BTAudio enabled/disabled. I just turned on my BTAudio and was able to activate Voice Command from my headset without issues. Maybe different headsets have different issues. Thank goodness my Jawbone works as expected.
hi itxda
for me it works the same on 3 different headset.
when BTAudio is enabled, I can trigger Voice command from my PDA only.
when BTAudio is disabled, I can trigger Voice command from PDA and headset.
Im using the default Voice Speed Dial that came installed on my HTC Athena.
"Cyberon Voice Speed Dial version 1.2 Build 070612"
Can you pls specify more what Voice Dial are you using??

Ah, that's where the mix up is. I'm using Microsoft Voice Command 1.6. Different from Voice Dial which comes with the phone. I found it to be a much better solution for me. Some people with heavy accents prefer the built in voice dialer over Microsoft Voice Command because it's easier to use for them as Voice Command won't understand the spoken commands very accurately. Now I see why it's different for you than mine. We were talking about two different components.

Good luck. I love the product and no training involved at all.
Hi guys,
Today I've downloaded the Microsoft Voice Command from this topic. I really like the programme, but the only thing with it is, that I have to press and hold the call button, to get it to work. Now I would really love it when I can activate the program with the call button on my standard htc headset, so I can keep my phone in my pocket. Does anybody know how I can get this to work?
Thanks in advance,
B4kk3r

Maybe you got some sort of other program with the same function as Redial, but only with an different name? Sorry but I'm no expert so I can't help you very well on this one:S.

Hi guys, my Jawbone Icon arrived today and I just finding a way to allow me to voice dial the contacts when the phone is locked. Saying when I press the talk button on earphone saying 'call big monster' and then it will dial to my boss...
I tried to install the Jawbone plugin for Android but it does not work on HC...
Found some posts reg. the same question and I am gonna to give a try when I get home.
But still I would like to post here thought maybe someone using the P6800 already got a perfect solution.
Any comment or information is appreciated!
thanks in advance.

Bluetooth voice commands in general aren't very well developed on Android.
Cyberon Voice Commander does what you want. I've tried many other softs, no go...

bingo! after upgraded the headset to latest firmware, by hold the talk button it now will launch the vd application automatically.
you are right I've also tried lots of apps and the cyberon vc and speed dial is the best one. also u can use the vlingo in car.
so normally i can just leave my tab in back pocket and dial any of the contact via the voice.command.
