Multi-select contacts for beaming to another Pcoket PC - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

I found it quite strange that there is no way to multi-select contacts in the JJ. How do I send my contacts (using BT) to another pocket pc device if this is not allowed. Very inconvenient.

Create SMS messages on PC screen

Is it possible to type / send / receive SMS message on my PC screen whilst my XDA2 is synchronised and in its docking station?
SMSing using your PC keyboard and Monitor
While Synced you can use the following programs to send SMS using the PC.
1) Jeyo Mobile Extender (www.jeyo.com) highly recommended. It is cheap works flawlessly and allows your SMSes to be stored in the Outlook folders. Just manage your SMSes the exact same way you would your emails.
2) Pocket Controller Professional (download trial from Pocketgear.com)
Concept is similar to the original PPC-Remote from MS, but a gazillion times better
You get to control the PPC remotely from your desktop. Better yet if you have bluetooth on your PC.
PERFECT for geeking around with your PPC sans stylus.
And for Aesthetics, it has skins of most PPCs that you can download and the hard buttons work!
SMS via PC
I use SMS Cool! from Aimproductions which works well for me. Imports all your current SMSes, inbox, sent and deleted items but texts you send from SMS Cool! don't appear in your sent folder on the PDA, unfortunately.

Broken Screen. Saved pim.vol on PC. (PIM to Outlook to temp RAZR?)

I shattered the lcd and touchscreen to my MDA. I think the phone itself still works because when I push buttons on the phone (sound level slider, the end button to go to home page, voice dial button, etc), the proper sounds are made.
I plugged it into my pc and explored the disk to copy pim.vol to the pc--I still have that.
But due to all sorts of messing about (on my part, and thanks to the old computer I USED to sync my phone up with before that older pc stopped working)...I cannot sync to outlook. Actually, when i try to explore the Mobile Device on this computer, the folder shows up as empty.
So I have a problem here:
I have pim.vol copied to a safe place, but because my MDA no longer syncs with Outlook (for one reason or another) or ActiveSync at all, I can't use the Motorola RAZR sync program (which uses Outlook) to put my old numbers (which I can't get on Outlook) onto my temporary replacement, the RAZR.
Sorry for the confusion.
Anyway, is there SOME way to get the contents of Pim.Vol into Outlook so I can sync with the RAZR?
UPDATE/EDIT: I have no idea how, but I plugged in the cracked-screen-MDA and ActiveSync worked flawlessly. I got the MDA contacts onto Outlook (and exported the outlook file for safekeeping) and I used the Motorola RAZR sync software to get the Outlook contacts onto the RAZR. Ahh. I guess I don't really need it anymore, but if there IS a program that can analyze a pim.vol file and extract contacts (from a computer), feel free to mention it.

Double Contacts Problem

OK well I am using PocketCM as my contact manager. I have to entries for EACH one of my contacts, and NO one of them is not the SIM card contac, i have sim card contacts disabled. In MS Outlook i HAD to of each contact, so i deleted all of the duplicates and synced. I still have duplicate contacts. So i deleted pim.vol and resynced and it gave me 4 of each contact!!! I didnt understand. SO i put back the original pim.vol and I am stumped because I still have duplicate contacts. Is there any way to fix this?
the contacts on your phone and outlook were probably not exactly identical
this is quite long-winded but is simple and should work:
-Used NS contacts to backup all your contacts on your pocket pc
-Backup your outlook user folder/s
-delete all your contacts, on outlook and pocket pc
-check the ns contacts backup file on pc (you'll have to install the NS Contacts (different to NS contacts Backup-the pocket PC program) program on PC)
-After checking for and deleting duplicates, save the backup file
-Use this file to restore your contacts on pocket pc, once your satisfied, sync with oulook and you'll have the contacts on outlook also
remember to check which of the duplicate contacts you delete, some may have missing details etc.
NS Contacts Backup (Pocket PC) and NS Contacts voth available from:

Oouch
Bugger that for a lark !
Guess this is a strong reason for not using it. Anything that messes with synchronisation is to be well avoided.
I actually synced a clean phone (ie just burned new rom) with my Outlook contacts and hit this problem.
Humble pie
After a stopping and starting the prog my double contacts disapeared, and I have since had a look at it and I must say I quite like it !

Just wondering how you do this on your pocket pc, without having to delete each one by hand.
I've just sorted my contacts list on the pc and don't want to have to do it again so don't want to sync the phone with the pc till after I've deleted the triplicate entries... deleting each one by hand is kinda tedious seeing as my 100+ phone numbers have been duplicated twice.
there's a way to sync the phone contacts with outlook, if you have doubles most likely you can simply highlight all the duplicates at once and hit delete. this method you'll have to sort by modify date on outlook, cause your old contacts will be dated before the duplicates (which is probably all added later) so just look for later added contacts and be gone! =)
right I did the deleting the contacts the long way on the pocket pc. They've all now gone and I deleted all the contacts in the sim manager.
sorted all the ones I want in my outlook.
Synched the phone.
.... and now I've only got 2 contacts in my phone...
anyone any ideas what i'm doing wrong. Think it might be to do with my set up with my synching, but i'm having trouble finding how to solve that.

Se k750 Contacts - > Se X1

How to remove???
im guessing you asking how to get them from ur 750 to the X1.
Use a program called MyPhoneExplorer, copy all contacts from phone memory, they will save as VCard files. Take them from this program to a windows folder on your desktop and then transfer via ActiveSync etc etc..
Thats how i did it with mine and it worked fine
No.
I ever try to send it via BlueTooth - x1 says something about "data may be damaged"...
Outlook 2007 can read them, but my contacts with utf-8 and cyrillic unicode - but outlook use wrong character table...
For some reason you cant bluetooth contacts over.
This way worked for me, im out of ideas, anyone else got a clue??
would dashwire work?
Don't know if it's supports cyrillic

I tryed to sing in - only support windows mobie based phones.
what's about k750 ?
Doesn't work for me too, same error about corrupted or missing data.
I tried both bluetooth transfer of the complete contacts from my K800i to x1 and exporting with MyPhoneExplorer to a single vcf file and importing it to x1.
while sending a single contact with bluetooth all works ok.
Good news : )
Info.
Data in vCard must be in Quoted-Printable Encoding Format,
something about "Name;Quoted-Printable:=08=0A=0B=6E=7F"
Some models (as k750) make vCards with UTF-8 Encoding Format,
something about "Name;UTF-8:df34wedf6w54aQWERQ"
Solve.
I used Windows XP standart address book to import UTF-8 contacts (from SE),
and that address book can export in Quoted Printable Format.
But it can export only one by one contacts, so i use Ghost Automizer to record keyboard pressing, and it program helped me to export all 356 contacts : )
Then that contacts mau be one by one imported in outlook 2007, or "clicked" in xperia.
I sent them one by one via BT b/c X1 wouldn't accept complete phone book.
I tried by installing Outlook and syncing my k800 with it through MyPhoneExplorer, then syncing back to X1, it worked partially: all phone numbers are missing the + at the beginning (i save all with +39 something, and now i have them all without)
Using only Address Book will help you to keep all "+".
All of my 365 contacts saves its "+" : )
Outlook
Step 1: Use my phone explorer and sync your SE 750 contacts with the same. Then in My Phone explorer there is an option to sync the same to Outlook. Do the same. Now your contacts are in oulook.
Step II: Remove SE K 750. Connect X1 and set up Activesync (Win XP) or WMDC6.1 (Win Vista).
Sync settings select contacts to sync and all outlook contacts get transfeered to your phone.
Alternative II
In my phone Explorer export all contacts as vcards if oulook sync doen't work (although no reason for it to misbehave). Drag and drop all vcards to Outlook. it works.
Repeat step II as above.
Take Care

I used this method, but as said before, contacts were transfered without the initial +
do not use outlook.
copy vcards on x1 and run their from x1
it is the only safe way

problems with synchronizing contacts with picture!

hi people! like title says... when i'm connecting my jade to pc and trying to synchronize with ms outlook somehow (dunno why) some contacts missing in my phone. on my pc they exist any ideas? sorry for my english
For over one year now I have no problems with synchronising with outlook. Even for contacts with pictures - no problem. I sync my add book with the server, not directly with PC though.
Try this (using Active Sync - Options)
1) to disassociate (deselect)
2) delete all contacts on Jade - and
3) associate again (select)
thanks for advice, but i have tried it already. only contacts without picture was copied to my phone
Now try adding a picture (on PC) to a contact which appears on both PC and phone. Then Synchronise - and see what happens. Now try the reverse and see what happens.
