Is it a way to beam more files via Bluetooth at once? The built-un FileExplorer can beam only one file, not more. Maybe some suggestion for an appliaction, that can do that will be helpful. Thanx for help in advance,

do you guys know if there's a way to change the default save location when receiving a file via bluetooth? coz it keeps going to "my documents" and i would like it better if it went straight to my storage card instead.
Also, is there a way of transfering a file to just the devices that i paired, instead of always searching for the devices after selecting "beam file"??
It does make device pairing redundant if i have to search for them everytime.
Cheers
any help would be greatly appreciated...
anyone???????
I think this is a limitation of MS Bluetooth Stack. Haven't seen a solution for this as well.
Reckon there might be a registry entry that will do this?
i really hope there is a solution, coz it's a pain constantly cutting & pasting stuff to my SD card after each transfer. :x

Any suggestions on this too?? or is it another limitation of the MS Bluetooth Stack??
Right, on the XDA IIi, if you go into file explorer and right click (press and hold) on any file, it gives you the option to send the file via bluetooth.
The Exec dosent have this
How do I send files from file explorer to other devices via bluetoth? Its a pain in the neck using Beam.
I don't think the BT profile file transfer has been added by M$ yet
Now thats very annoying
Anyone know of any updates?

I think that in this version of WM Beam means both IR and BT. Just select Beam and it will take some time until it finds other BT recipient and then just Tap it an there you go... At least this is on my JJ…
Yeah, you have to do it through Beam! Just like when we had the Microsoft BT stack on Himalaya!
So select send file via Beam and it will send through bluetooth?

Exactly...
Very messy isnt it. I couldnt work that out when trying to show off in the pub with my new Exec the other night! Since then have found that Resco File Explorer 2005 does give the option. Most of us use Resco don't we?!
Does Resco give the option of sending to paired devices first, without having to search for everything again?
The Broadcom stack on the 2i was so much better than the MS ones. TBH I'm suprised that they didn't include it on with the Universal build. Maybe there were contractual obligations to include the MS one?

Hi Guys.
What software do you use to send files via bluetooth?
I believe the default file explorer cannot do this and I have tried GSFinder but couldnt see how to do it in that either.
I know its possible in Resco, but i wanted something a bit more light weight if possible and it is not free.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I send a BT file using the default file explorer. Who told you it can't do the job ? I even had problems sending a file using Resco file explorer, it won't let m send any file, I get error message.
How do you send files via Bluetooth in the normal file explorer? I can see options to Beam file, send via mms and email. when I choose beam its to do with Infra Red.
When I use Resco I had no problems, chose send then by what method.
Thanks for your reply.
You select the beam file option from the menu, then wait, it will first try to send via infrared then will look for bluetooth receivers in the area. I just found this out the other day myself. I also think you need to have receive all beam types checked also (which I think is the default) [Start/Setting/Connections/Beam].
I have problems sending files from a PC to the Wizard... how do you use bluetooth to send it over?
Can we send files from a PC to the wizard using bluetooth? Is there any other way to manage files on the PDA without activesync?

You are quite right! I chose that option and only saw the infra red option, my tip to anyone wanting to do this is activate bluetooth, ensure other bluetooth device is close and the press beam, it will search and find the bluetooth device!
Thanks tekknogenius
Anyone know how to send messages to other phones via bluetooth? do I need a seperate piece of software for it?
Thanks
how the hell do you send multiple files through bluetooth. its not possible to do this. i can only send one file then i have to send the other. i wan to highlight say 3 music tracks and send them using bluetooth. but it dont let me. any help
Go into Settings tab > menu > all settings > bluetooth. Click right hand tab, select BT Send Object. Select Audio, highlight the files you want, press SEND.
And be glad you don't have an iPhone, which can't even send one file over bluetooth.
thanks man

Well I think you could have tried this, it is very obvious.
In file manager, tap & hold the file and select "Send via Bluetooth".
well, you can create a zip archive using any free tool and send them, I'm currently looking for an app that enables sending multiple files, but I only found old ones that support infra red >.>
it's helpful for sending multiple objects that don't appear in the BT send object menu
[edit] Resco File explorer apparently sends multiple files via bluetooth (sending different types of files at the same time as well), but it's a paid app
Use Dropbox
I've found a workaround... I send multiple photos to dropbox then cut/paste them from dropbox to whatever folder I want. That way I don't use up the allotted space with dropbox. Works for me!
