Could someone please advise me as to how I could remove the default phone application from an XDA II, XDA IIs.

If yes, then just copy anything to \windows\cprog.exe
Why?
cprog
you have to quit/kill cprog.exe
but it can be launched in several ways (by few .dll),
so you have to manage all these ways
enumerate windows
kill window of cprog

when i send a text message it tells me message sent, so i close the messaging app. then when i recieve a message, most of the time a reply to the message sent i open the messaging app and it tells me message sent again. also people call me telling me they recieve the message i sent them multiple times. i have spb pocket plus, do i need to add the messaging app to the exception list on the close option? i know sometimes its a network error but most of the time its from my phone. so any help on that would be great. thanks
Add TMail.exe to the close app forbid list on Spb Pocket Plus.
And do a search next time and you'll find 10s of posts on subjects like this already.

I have the same problem and would like to know how to solve it.
I do not use Pocket Plus on my device although I did have it installed a while ago. I've always assumed this is a bug in Windows Mobile 2003SE. Is it not?
I've done a search on the forum here and was not able to find anything helpful. Maybe my search skills need help! If anyone can point me to any threads that provide solutions to this I'd really appreciate it.

OK, I can't be bothered typing it all out, so just believe me.
If you've got a program that CLOSES apps when you click (X) instead of MINIMIZING them (as is the default action in WM2003SE), then if you close the mail/msg app after sending, it will send 2 messages. Spb Pocket Plus is the usual app people use to change minimize to close. Other programs do it too. Fill in the blanks yourself.

I am looking for a SMS program that I can install on my XDA Exec. I want to be able type my text on the program, using bluetooth link the Exec to my T68i on a different contract with lots of bundled text add-on and send the text message. I have successfully done this using Infra-red, but can't lining up both devices and I am using mphone2.6

Simply SMS crashed my XDA, I only later learned that it's not compactible withWM 5. Be warned, dont install it on XDA Exec.
Nothing works... I tried all the available SMS programs that connect the 9000 via Bluetooth to other phones but it refuses to connect. Only IrDA works...
Hi All. I've started this Topic because i cant find any information anywhere about this!
I need to write an app for WM5 (PPC) and part of its function will be to send an email in the background to a certain address. I've read up on the new additions to WM5 and it tells me about the wonderful new messaging API (MAPI) thats availiable. Problem is, i have no clue where to find it, nevermind use it.
If anyone has a clue what the simplest way is to send an email with an attachment from a C# WM5 app, i'd be extreemely grateful!

You should be able to do this by using the tmail.exe app with appropriate command lines. If you're doing it the hard way, investigate POOM.
Are you saying you don't know where to find the WM5 SDK?

it says i have to start a MAPI session and gives code showing how to do it but i don't know what references to add to get the specific types and methods that the code requires. Any ideas?
1) I’m using SPB Pocket Plus, Phone Suite & Diary. Will SPB shell take up more footprint den this combination? (dun wanna have a laggy device).
2) When an email comes in & I tap on the ‘notification’ softkey, I’ll get an error msg – “An error has occurred with shell32.exe”. I’ve sent my TP2 back to HTC for firmware upgrade, but the problem still exists.
3) When a sms comes in, I have to manually go into the sms & go thru it, then it’ll be cleared & not reflect as an “unread sms”. Clicking on the ‘sms notification’ icon on my SPB phone suite, will open up the history of all the sms-es but I still have to go thru it just to clear the unread notice. Is there any short cuts/ registry tweaks to clear the unread notice without having to open up every single unread sms?
4) I cannot copy text inside my sms. I’ve to enable “select text” before I can copy text. Is there any registry tweak I can do to make it permanent? Cos its very troublesome having to enable "select text" each time.
5) I can’t copy text in my msn, any way to go abt it?
6) Does speedbooster work to speed up the switching of the screen & overall speed of applications?
7) I cannot see “tmail.exe” on my task manager, how do I go abt finding it? Read that there's a need to disable tmail.exe before restoring sms using pimbackup to avoid “mass grouping” of my sms-es. Currently it is all grouped by the contact and me, the contact all above and mine all below, its very disrupting.
8) There’s a ‘re-sizing’ tool for Opera which will automtically “re-size the input box to fit the screen. Have tried Opera Form Fixer, but it doesn’t work… Even with the manual method prescribed in the xda link.
Anyone knows of other programs with the same function?
Greatly appreciate everyone's advise to help me with them.

Are you using Pocket Plus with WM6.5 from HTC installed? I ask that question because I'm using a cooked 6.5 ROM on my Blackstone with Pocket Plus. However, all of the File Explorer extensions are broken and I was wondering whether you had that problem on your Rhodium.
SPB won't respond to queries regarding cooked ROMS so it would be helpful to know if the problem exists on a stock HTC ROM.
