Hi!
I've setup my LG e400 many many times so i wanna ask for help here.
I have CWM from that tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405279
And Link2SD app
SD Card:
1. Partition: Not primary, FAT32
2. Partition: Primary, EXT2
How to correct format SD Card or install CWM to work?
E. G I have "Cant mount /sdsard/" error.
Or i cant antry to my CWM with Vol + + Home + Power combo.
Halp!
Regards!
I fix that, How?
So, if you have problem to enter recovery via Vol Up + Home + Power use installed Link2SD
- Open drawer from left side
- Use last option in menu "Reboot" (notice me cus i translate that from my lang)
- Use reboot to recovery option
- Ta da! You're in recovery.
What about partitions?
I have 3 partitions now:
- First (Primmary): 1024MB FAT - For CWM Backups
- Second (Primmary) 1024MB EXT2 - For Link2SD app
- Third (Primmary) rest MB FAT32 - For normal SD Card use
Pros
- Working all options in CWM
- Secure backups (not accessable vie Phone & USB, you must use card adapter to read first FAT partition)
Cons
- Access to CWM only by Link2SD (thats a bug and i dont know why)

I've changed the title to [SOLVED] for you. Thanks
Hello, I just made Wipe data/Factory rest so now i have no content on my phone but
before I Wiped it I made a backup of my storage (Copy pasted Phone and card folders in a backup folder)
I had some Pictures on my Private Mode function,
- how can I locate those files ?
- where is the storage folder location ?
- is any method to get them back ?
thank you
If you didn't enable it before backup then it got wiped out. You should have enabled it first then a private folder would show up when you connect your phone on PC for you to backup
Hi all,
I found a small tuto to enable Adoptable Storage on Marshmallow who works on XA, no need to have root.
Be careful, content of the SD is formatted during procedure.
Read what is "Adoptable Storage": https://source.android.com/devices/storage/adoptable.html
And the small tuto:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/tuto-enable-adoptable-storage-mm-t3334153
Total size of partitions is not reported as it should (like on Z5c) but it works perfectly (look screen), all the memory is usable as expected and "Encrypt SD card" stay disable
Thanks to @Elfeno
@xdaette for your problem of corrupted SD card after root try this:
1- Be sure SD card is usable in Android as External SD.
2- In TWRP, if /data is password protected wipe userdata partition
3- Reboot to Android and try the ADB command or download Root Essential app (better way if rooted) and make full Adoptable (do not mixe).
4- Now if you want, you can enable encryption again.
To avoid some problems I don't recommend encrypted /data, but if you have sensitive/confidential data it's not safe (for security).
I tried many times on many firmwares without problem, using mixed Adoptable Storage can end with error and corrupt SD. To restore or format your SD, I recommend to use Gparted and Ubuntu. Windows is not working well.

Well, may be my problem is not clear engouh. I don't want any crypted data
; so nothing is crypted in my phone and on my external sd card;
1- I flash as asked the firmaware of my F3112 given by Flash tool :"id Device: Xperia XA dual (F3112) CDA: 1302-4379 Market: France Operator: Customized FR Network: GENERIC Version: 33.2.B.2.73 / R5A Size: 2,01 GB; "
2- after restarting my external card is always readable without problem by the phone and a PC under windows;
3-then i use the rootpack rootpack 33.2.B.2.73.zip downloaded with first page link "33.2.B.2.73: https://mega.nz/#!xgoXxBTa!DKAwKELVs...CgG73RswzMPUi0"
4- i put root.img and recovery.img with fastboot shell commands "fastboot flash boot boot.img" ...
5-i reboot, if => external sd card detected corrupted, and with another clean one...
i do tests and tests again; same result.
new: if, at step 4 i put only root.img, sd card declared corrupted too.
what did i do wrong ?

You are good that's the good way, I have the F3112 and was on 33.2.B.2.73 FR like you (ramdisk of boot.img is coming from this firmware) and I never have this problem....
For me the only way to corrupt my card is when disabling Adoptable Storage, Android Succesfully format my card but displayed corrupted, no problem in TWRP and on my PC (almost same problem like you). To make it working again I use Gparted on Ubuntu, formated in FAT32 and it should work (do that after root), if not I don't know why....
So, I used your recommanded tool gpart to format my sd card in FAT32; my SD card was exfat when I bought it;
and ... IT WORKS !!!!! :victory: :good:
Adoptable storage and TWRP, USB extFat32
I have done Adoptable storage on my xperia XA F3111. SD Card (64GB) is fully private (no mixing). At the beginning this minus sign was confusing when I read how much memory do I have. In TWRP internal storage is not visible after that. I formatted my Sandisk USB stick to extFat32 and this is why I was able to do full system, image and data backup. When USB stick was formatted to Fat32 it didn't work. I still don't understand why my Micro SDcard (maybe this is why because I used all space to Adoptable storage?) and especially internal storage is not visible in TWRP after I made full Adoptable storage ? Any ideas please,
regards,
Andrzej_Andrzej
I install a stock 6.0.1 UK(BTU) ROM on a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F).
Then I encrypt internal storage (all of it). I don't setup any unlock method.
At this point, the phone can boot by itself, there has to be a "default_password" for dm-crypt master key.
But usually when only the default password is used for encryption and user don't have to type it to boot, TWRP knows it and uses the default password to decrypt and mount the partition.
But I install TWRP and go in recovery and I can not mount /data (invalid argument). I can mount all other partitions.
My question is: is there any other tool to access the encrypted /data? Or if not, is this storage really safe without setting a password you need to enter at boot?
I know encryption without password is not secure on AOSP, but is the Samsung version secure? If so, how did they do it?
Thanks!

assuming you're talking about /sdcard what is just a bind mount of /data/media/0 and not related to /external_sd MicroSD card, that indicates your whole phone storage is encrypted.
no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip does not decrypt phone, it is prerequisite to run phone unencrypted. to remove encryption, formatting userdata is required (aka factory reset)
however the mentioned zip has a bug, it will mix up file-based encryption with full-disk encryption.
Luckily it does not have any effect on read-only vendor partition, as it tries to modify /vendor/etc/fstab.* file.
official TWRP is capable of decrypting userdata partition (except for stock samsung encryption), it will ask for lock screen pin. if it's a pattern you can translate into password (not sure TWRP provides pattern screen, though)
https://twrp.me/faq/openrecoveryscript.html
if you're talking about encrypted MicroSD Card that is probably Samsungs own encryption feature and can only decrypted within the ROM itself.
