I-mate WWE to Qtek FR?

First, I want to apologize if that kind of topic had been already posted (sure it has been posted!)
I've bought an I-mate JAM in Dubai and upgraded it with the 1.06 WWE Rom proposed on the Club I-Mate site in March. I decided to change that rom in purpose to have my Jam totaly in french but I don't know how exactly because there's a lot of different roms.
Furthermore, I've tried several times to flash my "precious" with the first Fr rom proposed here but after having done the reset (after doing "d2s 80000000 04000000 in romupdate.exe"), ActiveSync do not recognize the device and I can't continue (must be guest partnership, right?).
Should I downgrade that 1.06WWE rom to an older WWE Rom first?
If not, what is the precise procedure?

here try this file to upgrade... just place this file inside the extracted ROM of your choice and run it ...... you will get a country ID error... don't mind the error just click ok and run the file again (notice that your device will be in the bootloader mode and you should keep it that way).....
and you will find the ROM you want in the ftp...

So I can download the last Qtek FR rom instead of my actual I-Mate WWE rom, fix the country id with the file, and upgrade...

confussed qtek s100

i have a qtek s100 on o2 UK.
How do i upgrade? I am totally confussed???
Step by step guide would be good?

download the qtek rom file, connect the phone, and run the file

the guy simply said he wanted to upgrade his s100, he didnt say he wanted to upgrade his s100 with the imate rom or anansky rom, so i provided the info as per the information presented

Does anyone know how to change roms on the Alpine (XDA2i)? I get a country error code. Is there an upgrade exe without ID check?

There is a new (yet unpublished version) of ER2003Edit. It uses Itsme's Perl script for decoding/encoding. This script does not calculate checksums correctly, so you can edit the ROM, but the AlUpgradeUT.exe fails with checksum error.
Anyone able to fix the script...?

Today we can upgrade 2020i with rom from different contry.
use a tools from xda_dev "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" in place of "AlUpgradeUt.exe". It's work fine, i used it to change my ExtendRom from DANGAARD to BRIGHPOINT

I understand that I have to put "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" in place of "AlUpgradeUt.exe" in the directory where the temp files are extracted and continue. I understand that I can change my ROM to O2 by doing so.
But for any reason if this fails I may need the original QTEK ROM.
Is there anyone who has the address to download the original ROM for QTEK 2020i?
But Please do not give simple site address because they all ask IMEI numbers and check the number with the ones they sold. Please give the address of the file to download like this: http://www.qtek.nu/files/RUU172752WWE.zip

Thanks epicus. I downloaded the file. It will make me comfortable before I try anything; I know that the tools work but just in case if I make a mistake
After the hardwork of "real" developers, there is no more SIM lock or restriction on the unit's brand and ROM versions.

Imate JAMin downgrade WM6 to WM5

HI,
I had spent lot of time searching for WM6 ROM for my imate ,while doing that I came across Qtek ROM namedas WM6 . After installing i came to know that it was a WM5 rom named as WM6. But i didnt gave up and after searching XDA i got actual WM6 rom and I uploaded it. The Version details of WM6 are :
ROM version 4.0.0.0 WWE
ROM Date 2/15/07
Radio Cersion 02.47.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.24
Ext ROM version 4.0.0.0.3 PDAViet
But now i want to downgrade back to Imate WM5 original ROM. Kindly help me getting that done.

i have a JaMin 2 and i wasn't able to downgrade to the original I-mate Rom but u can downgrade to the NoID WM5 which is better than I-mate Rom

Thanks for such a quick reply. Also i would like to know what are the steps to be folowed whiles downgrading. I mean do i run NoID ROM first and then execute Enterbootloader.exe and then Romupdate utility for my G4. Kindly excuse if u find my questions silly, since i have not much knowledge into all this and i am only being concerned about my Imate.

I have the same problem...I cannot hear anything or any body can not hear me...But the thing is that the speaker does play the ringtone when sombody is calling me so the speaker is ok...PLz help..

i also face the same problem, my rom is WM6 fantastic b4, but after few times hard reset and soft reset and leave it for overnight all back to normal again... sometimes still cannot hear the caller voice.. i just soft reset again..... still no permanent solution yet...
one of the senior member suggested to re flash the ROM... but i'm still not sure how to do it
