Oh yes, I upgraded too. Using original cheap O2 bluetooth headset sounded very clear and no power off effect. But when I used my Jabra 250V, still cracking.

Is it English version, Simplified Chinese version, or Traditional Chinese version?

U need regist a user in HK O2 Web than u can login the web to download it

Does anyone have any idea what is different in this ROM? I mean, does GPRS finally work, does the camera finally take good pictures? My guess is NO.

Did anybody find a german version ? I have some trouble with my "bluetooth-hardware" (sometimes "not installed" ) and want to change to a hopefully better version...

ROM builds with radio versions 1.05.00 and 1.10.00 all include audio enhancements for voice calls. Radio build 1.11.00 includes improved support for Cell Broadcast and SIM Toolkit applications. With radio 1.12.10 we have improved the settings for the echo cancellation to remove the phenomenon of "double talk", where a person calling a JAM customer will experience a minor echo if the other person is also talking at the same time.
All new builds contain the improved camera driver and fix for "No Bluetooth Hardware" bug. ROM builds 1.11.00 also includes a new MMS client for improved network compatability and an upgrade to the Operating System. 1.12.00 ROM builds should also reduce the "Cannot Connect" problem experienced by some customers.

TO BIG STORAGE owners
You can upgrade just a Radio stack, if you extract update files, delete all .nbf files EXCEPT radio.nbf. Run update, restart. Done

will upgrading only the radio stack leave any bigstorage patches intact?

Have decided to have ago at creating my own ROM.
Have put together the radio 1.04 from the Sonofon update with the ROM from O2 which seams to work.
But i now i what to get rid of all the crap o2 put on the ROM.

I have removed this since I do not want the O2 settings installed. If you remove this then you should bear in mind that the device will not soft reset at the end of the install ("RST: Reset" can achieve this though). You should also bear in mind that the connection settings will almost certainly need sorting out if this line is omitted. - I deleted it

I'm interested in what exactly this does. I have a THB Carkit and the one thing that is bugging me is that when using my MobileNavigator 5.1 (by navigon.com) the directions are only spoken through the device speakers not through the car radio ones. Maybe this file will help?
Anyway, would be great if someone could send me this file, as it is not part of the german extended_rom I have.

OMG OMG - it does exactly what I was hoping for !! I now get the voice giving me directions over the cars speakers instead of the XDA speaker!
It even works with playing MP3 files on the XDA IIi , though the quality is like mono, not really useable.

For some reason windows 2003 will not connect wireless everytime hard reset extrom can't install for file error.

let me explain to you what I have done exactly,
My Universal had az french system and I managed to back up my extended rom and then backed my bootloader and system using your method
I then installed UNI_Qtek_WWE_11364_151_10300_S hip.exe for the English ROM, is this the best one to install
I ran the procedure as you said but I dod not decode then encode the system before upgrading using the buz net procedure and tool.
so when I got done i un covered the rom and then deleted all what was in it and copied in the the o2 rom.
Is this correct or do i need to also install the security cab you attached as well before the o2 rom.
I would like to have my old cutomization which is the orange swiss one as it has all my customizations but with the o2 look how do I do that
The TV on the orange system was working but in the o2 the programme for the video streaming is not there. I installed the o2 ext rom then the orange Cabs but, the connection settings were not restored to the orange one but the DV player for streaming TV appeared as a programme but there was a n error message about it missing files and or not having a certificate

You want to have both the O2 and the Orange rom on at the same time (dual boot style)? If so, its not possible.
Also, if you had read around the forums before the post, you would have found many mentions of the FTP.

The whole system is the rom. All Universals are made by HTC. They then get sent to O2 and Orange etc who rebrand them. The 128mb of flash memory on the device is then flashed with the ROM. (i.e. all of the software that comes default on the phone)
By reflashing with a different ROM, you are rewriting all of the software on your device.
(By ROM I mean all of OS, Radio, etc ROMs)

I'm not really sure. I tried finding a ROM at the orange page for the Orange SPV M5000 (I assume thats the version you want), but they dont seem to supply it. The Imate one I'm using right now was easy to find... The Universal upgrades wiki also doesn't have a link to the Orange one. ( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Upgrades )
Best bet I can think of is mailing Orange support and asking them to give you the latest ROM for the SPV M5000.

OK, here goes:
Orange SPV M3100 Hermes/TYTN - unlocked OK,supercid,hard SPL7 all OK
Upgraded to a cooked WM6.1 rom from WM5 OK
Three.co.uk have planet 3 which contains a free windows live messenger option, but only for their locked phones.
On this froum there is a link from earlier this year to a Nokia N95 spoof cab, which i have installed, pointed it at the right planet 3 page, and this appeared OK.
At this point I have a problem.
You are directed to download windows live messenger -this downloads a small file SA_Download.jad which has no application associated with it
3 also now have TYTN II within their range, so i tried without the N95 spoof installed. This failed with a message to the effect of there is no version for your phone. what i could do with i think, though i can't figure out how/where, is idiot guide instructions (or some very nice kind person to create a cab 'cos im a thicko) to spoof the phone as a TYTN II , or some advice as to where I'm going wrong I've looked long and hard already, honest!

A Jad file is merely an info file for a Jar (Java) file that runs with a Midlet Manager. The Jar file must be present, it's the one with the actual application in it. ie all Jads have a Jar associated with them, not all Jar files have a subsidiary Jad file with extra info.
I appreciate this does not really help you get the appropriate Jar file - just info really.

im interested to get this working

there is now a windows live messenger for the hermes just search the threads

my kaiser actually has the Live Messenger in it, but im just trying to access the right app to use the 'free Messenger' on 3.

I too would be interested if anyone has resolved this. 3 offer free Windows Live Messenger but only if you use their client (which handily isnt provided for WM). Using the standard WM Client for WinMo devices incurs a charge.

To be honest I haven't used it for a while, but it did work when I made the comment. I prefer to use my data allowance with the official client. Version 10.7 works just fine, and only uses a tiny amount of data.
