Jam touchscreen - not as sensitive as XDA II touchscreen? - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

I just got my Imate Jam and have been using it for a dew days. I've noticed that the touchscreen isn't as responsive as the screen on my old XDA II. I find myself having to press harder and sometimes press a second time before the screen will register tap. I've recalibrated a few times and that doesn't seem to help at all.
Anyone else having this issue too or did I get a bad unit? I did get it used...now I'm wondering if I should have just bought a brand new one.
Thanks!

XDA Mini (Wizard Screen Issue)

My XDA Mini has a screen issue.
Only part for the screen (the middle) has stopped responding to the touch pad.
How do I fix this, has anyone else had it?
Cheers
Max
My Wizard (O2 XDA Mini S) has just developed this problem. The touch screen does not respond to touches around the middle of the screen. The outside edges of the screen work fine however.
I've had it for about 4 years now though, so I suppose its lasted well really. It's a G4 and I installed a WM6.1 ROM on it about 6 months ago (which is awesome btw, makes the phone sooo much better / faster!) but I don't think this is related to the problem.
Any known fix for this? I think it's a hardware issue since I also have the problem where upon opening/closing the keyboard, the screen goes white with multicoloured vertical lines and the phone emits a high pitched noise (have to put phone into standby then wake it up again to resolve). This, whilst annoying, I can live with, but not now the middle of the screen no longer responds to touches
I read somewhere its to do with the ribbon cable that connects the screen and main board, its gets trapped or worn over time as the keyboard is slid in and out. So I guess the touch problem is a more severe symptom of this? Can it be fixed?
Also a point of interest is that I keep the phone in the case a lot of the time. Could the magnets have possibly affected the screen? Anyone else with this problem keep the phone in its case a lot?
Thanks in advance,
Jamie

Is this Normal Screen Behaviour?

Hi,
Recently ive repaired a HTC Universal, put it back together as best as i could.
Now when i do touch the screen with a stylus, the screen has funny colours behind it. It kind of like when you touch/ prod your Computer LCD. It only happens when theres pressure on the screen so its not really a huge problem. The touch screen is definately there cause when i tap the screen it responds (e.g i tap start and the menu pops down).
If its normal then i can take it, but if its not im complaining to the ebay seller.
This doesent happen when i put any form of pressure on my HTC magician LCD, so im curious.
Let me know what happens with your universal
Cheers,
Whitemoo.
This is not normal behaviour of any touchscreen device!!
hmmm... well i just looked at the broken lcd screen, and even though the LCD itself is shattered, the touch screen is in perfect nick.
I put pressure on the touch screen and couldnt see any of the symptoms i saw on my current LCD
You guys recon i should swap the touch screen over? either way im complaining to the sellers, DODGY.
whitemoo.
from my knowledge, im pretty sure its normal. it happens sometimes on my 9000 so yeahh....

Touch Screen Sensitivity

Ok I have had my Mogul now just over a year and I just had to replace it due to unable to receive incoming calls out of my home area. Come to find out after I received the replacement phone, it was my account that was the problem and not the phone. Anyway this new mogul I am having a terrible time with sensitivity on the touch screen (not using the stylus). My old one was great, loved the phone and had no problem what so ever. With this one it is random, but it seems like I have to press extremely hard on the touch screen to get it to register. Is there a way to calibrate the sensitivity of the touch screen? I know about the "align screen" under settings but is not working.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks....Tannerj

htc prophet middle of screen dead so cant align

yeah guys my htc prophet middle of the screen is dead & i upgraded not knowin so,now i cant go any further, tried the remote screen alignment but i keep gettin an error, any ideas?
Sorry, for your Prophet. I had the same mistake, and I must send the Neo back. For me good luck in the garantee time. It`s a mistake in the touch screen.
same here. just use your finger to align the screen instead of the stylus. my screen is dead in the middle & also near the middle of the keyboard. annoying as hell.
you can get a new lcd screen from ebay for like $30. or send it for repair somewhere.
i'm getting my touch pro soon. my prophet served me well for almost 3 years.

Replaced streak screen: small issue

So i picked up a streak with a broken screen, with the idea of replacing it. So i replaced it and it all went well, but after a couple of hours use (what an amazing device!) The camera and power button wouldnt press. So i took it apart and reajusted the buttons, but they still wouldnt press, also the body doesnt sit tight when the buttons are in...Anyone knows what to do? Thanks!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I had the same problem when I replaced my screen, come to find out, the buttons were facing the wrong direction in the outer case. I'm pretty sure you've tried this, but just sharing what happened to me..
