Hi,
I was wondering if any one has tried using a palm emulator on their Shift and if so which program. I tried running a program called styleTap on the Win Mobile side but o luck and the program just freezes up when opened. I am looking to run programs from a treo 680 which is one of the latest Palm software if I am not mistaken. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
It's possible
StyleTab (shareware) works on the Shift!
To get it working you need QuickMenu (free) once.
Install QuickMenu
Install StyleTab and YOU CAN'T REACH OK on the nag screen!
Open QuickMenu and turn screen right.
The StyleTab screen is completely displayed.
Goto Optons-display size and choose original.
Restart StyleMenu
Turn screen back to narmal orientation
(Delete QuickMenu)
Install all your palm apps but hacks.
Enjoy your original size IIIc on this big screen.
Start paying after 14 days...

Thanks man I am going to try this and post comments.
Turn screen BEFORE installing StyleTab or the WM side freezes...
But after a restart from Vista side you can still turn the page and start StyleTab again.
I like it as most programs work (NO hacks, NO DA files)

I tried this and now I can see the OK button but for some reason I cannot click on it?? any thoughts? Also which version are you using?
I use the pocket pc version from http://www.styletap.com/downloads.php
The smartphone version uses keys only!
At the moment I'm reinventing my IIIc on the Shift...

Hi,
That is the one I am using, but not able to do anything, for some reason the alignment is off too. If i want to click register I need to click way higher than where the actual button is. What other software do you have installed? any help is appreciated.
Thanks
The one thing that irks me the most about my Imagio is that the screen will only go to landscape for the camera, the VCAST TV, and the Internet Browsers. With anything else only portrait is available. I would really love to be able to make it go landscape for other programs. I have found a couple of free routines that will set the phone to do this but they won't work because the Net Framework on the phone is the wrong version (go figure an older version of Framework would be placed in the most up to date version of windows). Can anyone tell me what is the best routine that will allow me to toggle landscape mode at will on the Imagio?

or just download the new .net framework
Thank you so much. I'll try what was listed. Does anyone know why the latest .NET CF isn't installed in Win Mo 6.5? Why would Microsoft not have the latest in the latest OS?
I have 3.5 installed on mine and I'm using Gyrator 2 to rotate my screens around
Great plugin

Well I followed the instructions for editing the registry and changing the orientation for the TF3D screens works great. Now what about the other programs such as Word and Excel? Do I have to do all the same registry edits for those or only part of the edits? Thanks for all the help guys. I'm about to get the phone the way I like it.

Was 3.5 already installed on your device when you bought it or did you have to install it? How do I find out what version of .Net CF is install on the phone?
I don't know what version I had
I found by using gyrator and changescreen for screen rotation is buggy, slow, and sometimes pages seem to get scrambled. I don't need rotation in all apps that's why I installed g trigger, available here. I have it set up to jerk the phone from side to side and this toggles screen orientation. I also set it up to have the dialer come up when you flick the phone forward and to close programs when you flick it away. It really works great, no crashing. And there are no accidental orientation change. Not to mention it saves you the "phone" softkey and you don't have to try to hit the "X" in the corner anymore. Try it, it is a cab install, and removes completely if you don't like it.
Since the device does not come with the utility, I've looking for a program who could switch the screen from landscape to the right 90ยบ, but every programs I find work bad.
The firs attempt was with rotate 1.1. But it doesn't work. I tried every ppc programs, and the only who worked was Nyditot. But the problem with this is that is neccesary to reset to aply the configuration and to apply to the hole system, and I only want it to play my old games and some other stuff, to rotate just the aplication.
Do you know any other program working on an ipaq 914?
You can use xTask - LINK - it's task manager, but it also does have rotate function.

I know, but it does not work on the Ipaq 914. In fact I don't know any program which works without reboot.
Does anyone know any kind of editing tool to set the startup of a program changing the orientation, or something like that?
Anything to make my old programs work should be welcome
Any news about this?
i m using im plus 7 ,and unable to use it in landscape mode on htc hd 2 ,can anybody suggest any tweak for it or some other messenger with auto landscape mode
I think I saw exactly the same thread some times ago, so please use the search next time to keep the forums clean.
Anyways, most instant messengers support landscape, but your HD2 just doesnt trigger the change to landscape.
Heres what you do:
-Get Bsb Tweaks (search in the HD2 forums, its also included in most custom roms)
-Tap Menu/Rotation
-Tap Options/Add Application
-It will tell you to go into the program you wish to use in landscape and shake the HD2
-After doing that you have to do a reboot.
You now can use that program in landscape.
Btw, personally I use palringo which I think is the best multi protocol instant messenger for windows mobile
thnks
thnks so much bro its working ,
