Dear All,
I have selected to display the message shortcut in Today Screen. However, it does not display even though I have selected it.
Can anyone offer me advice?

hello
i have a 8125 and was hoping one of you unbelievably smart techies out there could whip something up for me or explain if it cannot be done. i was hoping to add a "Select all" option in the "Menu" just below "Delete" in my e-mail interface. basically if i have say 10 -20 e-mails i want to select rather than using the stylus and selecting all of them manually i would like to press "Menu" "Select all" then "Delete" can this be done??
any help would be greatly appreciated. also on another off topic note, when i use the "Meaasging" button at the top of the phone (the actual external hard mapped button) my phone switches to the mail accounts (i can see the name in the top menu) however there is no display the today screen is still visible where the e-mails should be. i have to close the mail and reopen it with the messaging shortcut from the start menu then all displays fine. i had a similar problem with the Pictures viewer and accidentaly came across a thread to rename 2 dll files, i did and that is now working. does anybody know how to fix this display issue with the messaging button
thanks again
I have no idea where this icon comes from.
It appears every time I have an SMS in my TyTN, or a missed call. I have uninstalled all the plugins, it still sits there. When I press it it pops up a small window that shows the SMS without opening the Mail application of the TyTN.
All I want is to remove it from the today screen and stop making it appear. I have unchecked the "Display Message on Screen" notification... but this blue icon still appears...
Can anyone help me find out where it comes from? I have the WWE Greek HTC ROM...
Anyone? I did a search but nothing came up similar to this...
Could you have the scenarios application installed? from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=277811&page=2&highlight=Scenarios_WWE
I had the version from post #12 installed first (scenarios_today_fix.rar )and I got the same SMS notification as in your screenshot.
I then tried the version from post #5 and the SMS notification was gone. Scenarios is a great app - thanks Asukal for making it available
You're great! Thank you, I installed the cab you mentioned and everything is ok
The only problem is that now the small icons from the profiles do not appear in the bottom screen...
I had the same problem until I did a soft reset .
hello,
i'm getting a blank screen when i try to compose a new message on my phone; sms or email. also, i'm unable to display any messages, though i can get them to list.
the blank screen i'm getting is all white; there are two menu options send and menu in the lower left; but, no phone number field.
i read somewhere that i need to enable activex in pie, but there are no options to do so without software. plus, i don't recall ever DISabling it... any help please? thanks.
Hello, just wondering if there was a easy way to map the email tab on the new WM 6.5 lock screen so it does not bring up the Outlook email, instead it would open the new email directly? Thanks
Bottom of post 3 of my 6.5.x thread:

This will allow you to redirect the application launched, however you will still need a program or option that will load up the email directly
Ok so I changed it to \windows\tmail.exe
So we will see what happens shortly, thanks for the help.
Worked like a charm thanks, your the man!

Hi I have a problem with the lockscreen and its SMS/TEXT Notification. If my mobile is locked and it's receiving a message or a call, the number of missed items will be displayed on the slider. But if the mobile goes to suspend mode it will loose the number of SMS on the slider after waking up again.
Do you know why and how to fix that?
I was just going to ask if there was away to extend the slider notification time, (if thats what it is). I do find if you don't unlock soon after a new email / txt or whatever is downloaded the sliders notification disappears.
any of the numerous more knowledgable people in this forum know what registry setting would set the lockscreen slider to open manila sms when i get a text?
Hello XDA,
My question is about the stock messaging app and its lock screen "quick read" feature.
After receiving a new text message:
When I click on the small "Messaging - new message" notification box on the lock screen, it opens (right under it, still on the lock screen) a larger empty box (which I assume should contain the actual message).
Why is this box empty? Does anyone else have this problem? Should this box contain the received message?
Thank you!
That box just seems to be showing you the area where you need to swipe to unlock. Upon doing so, it will open the messaging app.
I wish it would just tell you who the message is from on the lock screen.

I See... well that's too bad, it would indeed be way better if it just showed message. I guess we'll have to wait for 3rd party OS!
