hi all
my friend sent to me a picture message
but i can not see the picture
how can i solve these problem?
If you are talking about Nokia picture messages I think that technology is incompatible with the XDA II, only works on Nokia phones
You alternative is to send and receive MMS only.
If I am wrong someone please correct me.

Well it's bcz the XDA 1 or 2 does not support the EMS Messaging.

Hey Everyone,
need a bit of help.
Does anyone known if it is possible to send and receive picture messages.
Because a friend of mine send me 2 picture messages and I did not receive them.
Is it that the xda 2 does not support picture message if that is the case does anybody known of a third party software that I couold use?
Regards
Luigi
The XDA/MDA II can send and receive MMS (which may contain pictures). The problem is probably with your provider. On O2 Germany, for example, you first have to enable receiving MMS on their website - they figure it wouödn't make much sense to send MMS to a mobile that doesn't support receiving them, so it's turned off by default.

hi,
having a problem with my xda 2 and messages recieved when sent from other phones, basically what happens is that when i or someone sends a txt message to me or i send to them (on a sonyericsson, nokia etc) and my message contains "return spaces" (new line) on the other phones it doesnt come up on a new line the message is all on the same line just with more spaces in between the text, this also happens when i recieve a message which is supposed to have new lines in the message; it all just comes up in one continuous line.
eg.
If i wrote:
im going out to london
Cya there!
On any other phone i send to (particualrly nokia, sonyerisson; as these are the only phones i have tested against) would come up as:
im going out to london cya there!
And vice versa if anyone sent me a msg reading:
Meet U there
Dont be late!!!
On my XDA 2 it would come up as:
Meet U thereDont be late!!!
quite annoying really! especially when you get those messages which make pictures, etc.
Let me know if annyone else has the same problem, or knows of a way to fix this! Thanks

Yeah i've been there too.
If you long-press on the message that went wrong and select info, then you will see what number the sms went to for real.
This started when I used an app (think it was SMS Popup).
Now I only use handcent and haven't seen this problem since.
Android bug. Nothing you can do really except if you use a third party messaging app. Wait for a fix from Google.
Thanks you guys help~~
Trying^^

Hello everyone,
I'm coming up with what will surely be read as a noobish question... However, I'd really appreciate if someone could give me that answer (sorry about my english guys I'm not an english native speaker).
Every time (approximately since Android 4.4) I receive a MMS, which would previously (before approx. 4.4) show up in the sender's conversation, it now appears in a conversation including ALL the recipient that the sender has sent the MMS to. Well that could be not such a big issue if when I reply (which I obviously do by reflex in this multi-recipient conversation), ALL these people I maybe don't know get my answer !!!! (like if they're the sender's friends and not mine)
I noticed this occurs especially (if not only) when I am sent a group message from an IPhone user...
That's something that annoys me a lot and I still have not found any option or setting clearly related to this... "thing/issue/problem" I have.
Do you guys have any tip as to how not to get these multi-recipient conversations any more? It would be really helpful.
All constructive ideas welcome.
Thank you in advance.
Oscar
That's the way group MMS works.
