GPRS Monitor During Internet Use - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Since billing for wireless internet through GPRS is calculated on how much bytes are downloaded, is there any software that can be used to monitor how much bytes are actually downloaded during internet sessions? Regards.

Wow, a little bit prices, but thanks for the tip.

Is it possible to measure GPRS bandwidth?

I'm interested in finding out if any applications exist out there to indicate realtime throughput on the GPRS connection. Something like DU meter but for the PPC. It would show real time and average d/load and u/load speeds.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ian
You can check out SPB GPRS Monitor. I use that for the GPRS Monitor, and I used IP Dashboard by Omega One to monitor my Upload and Download usage, speed monitor and ping utility.

How to keep AS from disconnecting GPRS? (Cause too costly)

Hi everybody!
Is there a way (e.g. registry hack) to keep ActiveSync from disconnecting the GPRS connection?
I have GPRS always on for Push Email and my GPRS tariff has a 100kb block size with a monthly limit of 30MB, so disconnecting every time I sync my device is using up my limit quite fast...
:?
Thanks!

monitor data transfer when phone=modem (spb gprs monitor)

Hi @ all,
I'm asking myself if it is possible to monitor gprs data transfer of my phone, when it is used as a modem with a notebook.
I am able to choose the monitored connection in spb gprs monitor, e.g. eplus gprs. And there are two more connections: USB and infrared.
When I establish a connection to internet from my notebook via the phone, spd gprs monitor doesn't recognize that and does not monitor the transferred data.
Probably someone knows how it could work...
thanks for help
hi...

How do u monitor internet usage in KB/MB while tethering ?

I access internet on my laptop by connecting it to wizard through bluetooth dialup. I have a GPRS connection setup on wizard and I dial *99# through laptop.
Is there a way I can monitor the speed and/or bandwidth usage on the wizard while connected through laptop. I tried SBP GPRS monitor, but it just works fine if I access internet only through wizard. When I connect though my laptop, it doesnt even say I am connected, though infact I am.
I have subscribed to a 100MB package but just monitoring the GPRS usage on wizard isnt enough for me, as most of my browsing is through laptop.
Is there a way, please let me know.
I was under the impression that SPB could be set to monitor the GPRS through a particular settting?
I have mine set to "o2mobileweb" and yes it monitors it on the phone, but I thought that it would monitor the connection, not where the initiation came from.
I'll try it and see.

Yup, I have pretty much the same setup. The problem is that when i connect through laptop, SPB doesnt identify the connection at all, nor do I get a GPRS connected symbol on the phone. However, on the laptop side its all connected and I can browse. It looks like *99# doesnt invoke the "mobileweb" or whatever connection we set.
Any other softwares that can monitor this traffic too ?

GRPS traffic day limit

Hi,
is there a program that could restrict the amount of traffic through GRPS per day? Don't tell me about SPB GPRS Monitor, it just says it could do it but it couldn't break live connection for some reason and just complain afterward about limit being broken.
