Does anyone know if the Wireless Tether App for rooted devices works on the Tab? I can't get it to work on my end and most of the information online talks about tethering the tab to a phone. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I haven't tried it myself, but did research this and the answer I got was yes.
Why do you need to use a third party application why the tab natively has access point function already?

Ive tested tethering with att and simple mobile sim both work with the stock settings options. Also used it as a hot spot.
Because some carriers, Sprint as an example want another 30 per month for that functionality. Thieves I tell you!
I have a duo sim card. One is in my blackberry while the other is in my tab
i do not want to use the tab for calling

I don't understand what you need? Could you explain a little more?
The tab as sold does not have a phone capability in US tabs.
If someone calls i would like to use my blackberry to answer the phone. So the tab should not be acceptong incoming calls but
still use dataacces( so i can not somple put it on flight mode)

You could try flashing the radio for the T-Mobile US Tab, as this has data but no voice capability and it seems that this has been disabled in the modem.bin.
Look for Rotohammers modem switcher.

Dave
I dont know where the tab is from, if not an US tab, then just take out the simcard

Not exactly a good idea if you still want to have 3G data - which the OP does!

Dave

I have a german SGT with 3 SIM Multi Cards from my provider (O2).
-I have incoming calls only for SIM card 1 in my cellular phone,
-SIM card 2 is used in my 3G router and
-SIM card 3 is used in my built in 3G modem at my HP notebook.
I configured my SIM cards with the O2 web interface, there was no need to configure something at my phone.
is there anyway that i cud add a sim card slot to my android or use some type a software to make it have a number so i can use whatsapp and other networks that require phone number

well
You could connect a usb otg modem.
for whatsapp: you can backup it from any phone and restore it on your wifi only device.
I had been looking for an active dual sim solution and my curiosity was triggered with the Bluetooth devices like for instance this G2 BlueBox, if this would have been a mini waterproof dual sim phone that works on cdma i would have been sold.
Now in theory every android Bluetooth phone could be used as a g2 bluebox since the function is equal to your car phone or any other Bluetooth dialer.
This does not work in practice for the app needs to find a specific device.
My question is, is it possible to use the sim in a smartwatch by your phone so you effectively get a dual sim phone? either with the simore or another simular app.
If so that would really wonderful.
Now I don't really care about the data part(wifi tether or an other way) but that would be even better if that was possible as well.
I'm also keen on this option!! I'm using 2 mobile phone everyday and I have researched a lot for using a smart watch as a BlueBox or similar (SIMore, Piece...), yet I haven't find any correct answer...
I believe the key is on the software...
Hi
I'm strongly considering to buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but I have a question regarding the dual-SIM functionality, that I can't seem to find any information about.
One of the selling points for this phone is that both SIM cards can have data access - one with 4G and the other with 3G. Now, my question is wether both connections can be used at the same time - like bundling, for even higher throughput/coverage? I kinda suspect that you have to select which data connection to use, but it would be awesome if there is a way to have both work and active simultaneously.
If the function isn't there natively, can an app like Speedify be used to activate both connections?
I hope someone will be able to provide an answer

No. you can not use both SIM internet at a one time. Only one SIM can be use for internet that you selected.
Speedify is works like a vpn. It can use Wi-Fi and mobile data at a one time. I don't think it work on mobile data.

Hi there,
So far only one SIM can be used for data. I am wander if second SIM can work in 3G mode. I can't find any information about it. For example Huawei P9 Plus one SIM must work with 2G only.

The second sim can work on 3G for calling only if you are using the other for data. You choose which sim is the data provider.
