how to unlock my xda in turkey - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

can anyone help me with unlocking my xda (bought in the Nerherlands)
I dont have a serial cable.

You can't unlock without serial cable

Turkiyede o iş olmuyor..

No need serial cable
Hi,
no need serial cable for unlocking, check this out:

Cute.....
Looks like an Atmel or PIC chip with a 9V battery clip and an XDA connector wired to it, and someone that has read the Manipulator source code.

Making a serial cable?!?!

Your guide to making serial cable is a bit iffy! You say we shall call this pin number 1 but we haven't got any confirmation about this... Is it pin 1 or not - doesn't fill me with confidence
Is it possible to make a USB to serial adaptor cable? I assume not as there arn't enough wires on the USB cable but I'm not familiar with this at all - yet!!
I've searched the web for a guide to serial cable pin layout but I can't find anything anymore.
Might just go and buy one and hope for the best.
Cheers

Also...
Can see anywhere if you can use a laptop to connect via IR com1 and unlock the xda with Manipulator.
IR port is not active.
So no this is not possible.
Can anybody help?
I still cannot get this to work. I have made my serial cable using a null modem cable and the board inside the O2 cradle. I have used a circuit tester to find the continuity between the actual XDA connector and the power connector for the cradle (con2 i think) - It has all the relevent pins for the serial connection.
Manipulator sits on the scanning ports screen and ActiveSync seems to be stuck in a loop but does not connect. I have obviously disabled ActiveSync b4 trying to connect with Manipulator and vice versa.
I have also attempted to rewire this as advised by one of you on another forum - using just the TX RX and GND pins as I am only trying to unlock the phone. This still does not work.
If somebody could send me a diagram of the serial connection it would help because the instructions here are a little vague. With just TX and RX connections I have wired up as so:
Com Port------------XDA----------------Con2
2-----------------------8-----------------5th connector from left
3----------------------10----------------7th from left
5-----------------------2-----------------1st from left
Also looking down on the circuit board with con1 away from you and con2 toward you. Con1 Pin 1 is on the right - right?!
I could go and buy the cable but to be honest I would probably just go and get a new phone on O2 to use that sim. I would really like to get somewhere on this coz it's now annoying!
Working
Sweet, Sweet, Sweet.
Didn't work with Manipulator but works with terminal prog??
I am now unlocked
Radio 4.06
Wallaby 5.15
Dunno if there is a prob with it - but just to let you know...

Please question

It´s a little hard to have the serial cable. I m trying unlock make a strange combination :
serial port pc + serial female to ps2 + ps2 to usb + usb cradle xda. It works ? because I cann´t write in hiperterminal.
Thank you
I don't think USB mode works
I am not sure if I understand this right but my guess is you are using some sort of SERIAL to USB converter :?: to make this work.
I don't believe this will ever work with the current unlock solution because in http://www.xda-developers.com/manipulator/ the developers write that CURRENTLY we need a serial cable for the unlock.
So no matter what kind of converter you will use on the other side you'll still have the the USB connection on the XDA side and that is what really counts.

Thanks
Yes it was that converter. I dont try anymore. Thank you very much for your answer.

Unlocking using USB / Serial converter works OK....

Hi all
Unlocked my XDA yesterday using a bog standard USB to serial converter lead from the USB hub attached to my Sony Vaio laptop (that has no serial interface) and a standard serial cable for the XDA.
No problems - Manipulator 1.1 communicated fine even though it isnt 'true' RS232.
Just thought people with USB only computers might like to know that unlocking / serial communication IS possible!
Rog
Before we get any confusion: this means you can unlock from a computer that has no serial port. It does not mean you can unlock XDAs without a serial cable.
Computer's USB port <->
USB to serial adapter <->
serial XDA cable <->
XDA
Yes thats correct. it does NOT mean you can unlock using the XDA's USB port!

Establish Serial Connection with Wizard in Bootloader

Hello,
Does anybody know how I might establish a serial connection with a Wizard in bootloader mode?
I only have a USB cable...so I got the additional supplies:
1) A USB to PS/2 converter
2) A PS/2 to serial converter
And plugged that into the serial port, didn't work.
I tried these supplies also:
1) A usb-to-usb female connector
2) A serial-to-usb connector
3) A serial-to-serial connector (both sides female)
And plugged that chain into the serial port also, alas didn't work again.
The bootloader is saying USB at the bottom, maybe its not even listening to serial commands. How on Earth can I get this thing to start in serial mode to receive serial commands?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
PS: This is to be able to use XDA Manipulator on the Pocket PC over the serial interface - the program mandates a serial interface.

Serial Adapter/sync cable for the Kaiser/TyNT II/Tilt

Anyone know how to add an RS-232 serial port to the Kaiser? I need it for many things. I have read that the 8125 and the 8525 have had serial adapters that plug into the MINI-USB adapter on the phone and HTC told me that if I could find one it would work. Unfortunately it is impossible to find. Any ideas on where to look?
