When I got my Epic the battery was at 50% like expected. I immediately plugged it in when I got home and it seemed like it was charging because the charging light was on and the battery indicator was showing charge.
About 1 hour later I had to leave for class and I unplugged my epic. It stated it was 15% battery left and gave me the sad low battery notification.
I plugged my epic into the wall at school and let it charge a good 2 hours. Throughout the charge the battery would NOT GO ABOVE 15%. I finally unplugged it a few minutes ago, and STILL the battery is at 15%.
Is there any way to reset the battery stats or is this a faulty unit?? I called my radioshack nd they stated they can do a phone swap for me BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET MORE EPICS IN. WTF. I obviously can't use a phone that won't charge..... I saw a similar problem on androidcentral forums, where someones epic wouldn't charge over 80%.
My radioshack lady said to take out the battery and reset the phone. I've done this 3 or 4 times and still the battery registers 15%.

I'm having the exact same problem except my phone always thinks the battery is at 0%. Even when plugged in to charge, the phone will still occasionally die. It's very likely that I'm just making some silly mistake though, as the Epic is my first Android phone.
I had on USB debugging but I don't think that should affect charging through usb. I don know what's wrong with the charging port or the battery. But its definately going DOWN. Now its blinking at 0% with no way to charge it.
I'm wondering if I let the battery die and try to charge it to see if it will fix the battery.....

I have tried the usb wall charger that came with the phone, and also a generic microusb charger. Both light up the notification charging light, and then the battery shows the charging..... still won't go above 15%.

easy fix guys....
be sure to use the original charger and usb cable.
plug in the charger to the wall, then plug the usb into the charger, then plug the phone into the usb....
follow these steps exactly and it should start charging......
(in the future, dont let your phone completely die)
PS: this issue affects ALL epics when they die completely so dont bother taking your phone into sprint. they will not replace it because the replacement would do the same. (2.2 should fix this..... its only a couple weeks away)

I have tried this, charger into wall, then cable into charger, then usb into phone.
Still phone will not charge.
If I unplugg the charger, it says the battery is empty.

aww man that sucks, maybe the battery is defective? u should try going to the sprint corporate store that does repairs. they should be able to test the battery and if its defective give u a new one.Its still under warranty, and if u have TEP it definitely is covered.
My Epic was experiencing the same issue. When I first got it today, it was gradually charging fine via my new Thinkpad's USB port. But then for some reason, "Battery Indicator" showed the charge going down, even though the red LED and the battery icon indicated that the phone was being charged. So did my lock-pattern screen. I called my local store for a replacement.
The phone wouldn't charge while I had the rubberized phone cover on, bought from the Sprint store. Also, the phone felt very warm, so I took the cover off, opened the battery cover to see how hot the battery was. It didn't feel too hot to the touch. I removed the battery, put it back in, powered the phone back on, and saw a huge green battery charge icon, but alternating with an icon with what I think was a yellow warning sign, and a thermometer on it. So I left the Sprint rubberized phone cover off, and recycled the power on the phone.
After the phone fully loaded up, I tried USB-charging the phone. Now, it's gradually charging up (was down to 14%, now back up to 19%). The phone feels cooler, too.
I'm leaving the replacement option on the table in case my phone turns for the worst. I rely on the phone for work and business so can't be without a phone. Maybe I should reconsider getting a land-line or VOIP service again. But maybe, this being a brand-new phone, the battery needs to be cycled a few times before it stops acting unusually. I'll try the wall charger before I head to bed tonight, and see what happens tomorrow.
Here is my findings after putzing with it all day. I was using two chargers. Both griffin's. One was cigarette plug to usb with an output capacity of 1 amp. I also have a wall one that has a usb port and is meant for an ipad. They need lots of current to charge them and this one is capable of 3 amps.
Using the evo, both could charge it and run the phone at the same time. The battery percentage would always increase. With both of these chargers on the epic, even though the charge light would be red, if I was using the phone, it was not charging and it was pulling off the battery to run the phone.
This should not act like this. I have read that these screens are supposed to be more power efficient, but I don't notice that. I do not know if the power regulator in the phone is wimpy or not but I noticed that when I played something loud through the speaker, the screen backlighting would dim when the sounds peaked. Come on! An amp and a half battery in this phone should be able to handle that.
Here are some more observations. About three hours before I was to go home, I would either put the phone on the griffin wall charger when I was inside or I would put it on the griffin 12v adapter when I was in the car. Finally around 45 minutes before quitting time, the charging led went blue. I was mostly charging the last hour with the phone off. I turned it on but kept it plugged in. By the time the home screen came up and everything settled down, the battery would be at 95%. I was like wtf. I left it on until it charged up and the light went blue. The battery was at 96% at full charge.
I kept hitting it with the charger. Unplug it for a few seconds then plug it back in. I repeated this many times. I would also charge until blue then turn off and let charge until blue. I would follow that cycle for awhile.
Lastly, I left it turned on and charging but would unplug it for a few seconds then plug back in. The maximum % would inch higher and higher. I got it up to 98%. Then I noticed that when the screen came on to tell me it was fully charged, it was at 100 for maybe a second or two then it would drop to 98. I suspect the screen was causing the drop. All the time I have been typing this, I have gone from 98 to 90 while on wifi, screen minimum brightness and using hardware keyboard.
This was my battery and charging findings for today. Add this to the theories out there flying around.
I find that completely unacceptable if the phone can't charge if being in use....
I plugged it in the way mentioned earlier for about 30 minutes while I was waiting on a friend. The charge went up to 15% but 15% isn't gonna last me longer than a hour of use which isn't usable.
It stil won't go above 15%.... I'm gonna leave it alone for a hour and see if it will charge, but a phone that can't charge isn't of use to me.
And judging from what everyone says its not even a hardware error, if there are many people with the problem.....

Ive been testing finding battery charge of 2% every 10 min while connected to desktop charger Telanav enabled so somethings definitely wrong with your device.
I would take back asap swap for new
So I just got home and plugged my Epic in yet again. After about 30 minutes of charging my battery is at 20%.
Still way slow but the battery has gone above the 15% sliver of battery.....
I'm thinking its because the battery has to be conditioned... I'm gonna charge it for a day to see if the battery performance changes...

I'm gonna try turning off the phone while it's charging at night and see what happens. Or I could try the htc evo battery conditioning suggestion.
Full 8 hour charge on. Disconnect charger and turn off phone. Charge off for an hour. Turn on and wait a couple minutes then turn off and charge for a hour. I think maybe charging the crap out of it might condition the battery some.
Maybe kinda like filling your gas tank up until the lever pops. Then slowly keep filling until it pops again. Then push the rear of the car up and down and side to side to try and get the tank to burp out any air pockets. Then slowly top it off until it barely overflows the filler pipe. I know, stupid mental picture!
The only questionable thing I have is, after a "full charge" should I run the phone until it shuts off then give it another FULL charge? Some say yes, some say no. Each have their theories.
I noticed that the "Where" application was sucking down a tremendous amount of juice. There are multiple similar complaints for it in the Market. Uninstalled it, and now the phone is charging gradually and steadily.
@ 9:57PM, battery life = 36%. Now @ 10:25PM, battery life = 48%. I'm cautiously optimistic.
With Where installed, "Battery Indicator" displayed a voltage of <3V. After removing it, voltage is now a hair < 4V (3.945V is the latest refreshed value).
I will be following herb's suggestions for conditioning by maxing the battery out tonight. I think I'll run the phone down to 0% tomorrow, once it's fully charged to the hilt.
Even so, I still intend to exchanging this unit out because I'm also experiencing issues with the Back soft-button.
Considering encasing it in that Sprint rubberized casing tomorrow to see if it affects the battery life.
My Epic has no problems except for the battery being slow to charge, but i charged it to 80ish in about 2 hours.
If anything, I will try to switch it for a new battery.
I just thought of something that may be nothing. Did anyone, like myself, update google maps to 4.4.0? I am going to try something and see if it helps.
In battery use details, in the about phone under menu, what is your highest battery consumption? My display is pegged all the way and it is at 70%. The next closest is cell standy 14. Then browser is 9, system is 4, idle is 2 and os is 2. I'm going to remove the maps update. I read somewhere that some people suspected the update to eat battery.
I haven't updated the maps app. The screen and standby are the highest ive seen on power usage.
My radioshack wont have any more Epics in until Friday or later.... I'm gonna try to power cycle the battery (if I can leave it off for that long. )

well when i first got my phone i only charged it when the battery light was red and hollow. And at times i would put it under my pillow due to the alarm being so loud, didnt want to wake up my son.
But the past few days when i charge it and put it under my pillow it gets really warm, it never did this before, any reason why?
AFAIK all phones do, as well as any battery you charge (MP3 players, laptops, etc).

Today I charged for an hour my n1 over usb.
It was really hot.
Then I go to home, and when I arrived, it was again really hot, and battery life is over.

Any device to which you're pumping power into, or using power, generates heat. That's how it works. The only difference between the devices is how much it draws; the more it draws, the hotter it gets.

Man...I thought my N1 was going to burst into flames today. 114.5 degrees...not sure if it would have gone any higher.
I was in the car using an AC/DC adapter. Had my navigation going along with my music. The glass on the phone got hot to the touch! I unplugged it right away.
How high of a temp can this phone endure without damage? If it were to overheat, would it just freeze up and shutdown?

i charged my nexus tru the usb a few days ago, yes it got warm like always but when it was fully charged. it stayed warm even when it was unplugged from the usb. i know that was kinda odd and it drained the battery, it was at 76% just after 30mins. so i reboot and everything went back to normal. what the hell?! i think its a bug. what i do now just to be safe is i reboot the nexus after every charge and check if it stays warm...
Yesterday I left my house with around 75% battery left to drive 40 minutes or so using the Google Nav app. I also had it charging using the included data cable and a usb conversion plugin.
I was also listening to Pandora as it was navigating with the screen on low brightness. However, when I got to my destination, the battery was at around 45%. I know the converter piece isn't broke as my ipod charges fairly quickly via usb when plugged into that same piece.
Is the data cable that's included really that bad at providing enough power to run the phone, as well as a mild charging?

Car vs Plug
Your car charger may be outputting at .5 Amp rather than 1 Amp; models exist for both. I do not pretend to know if .5 puts out more or less than GPS+Pandora; but your mileage may vary if you changed over to a 1.
I had a very similar issue this weekend. My problem was with overheating.
I left with my battery at about 60%, setup the GPS for travel. After about 20 minutes i noticed the charging light start flashing orange and green, and i noticed my battery was draining pretty quickly. The end result was that the battery was over heating (very hot to touch) and wouldn't charge because it was too hot, i had to remove the phone from the dock and put it in front of the air conditioner before it would continue to charge. This resulted in me holding the phone in front of the AC for about 2 hours because it could only last about 10-20 minutes before it would over heat again.
The dock is basically useless because the phone over heats, i have no idea if this would work differently if you start at 100%, but with anything lower it definitely fights to charge the battery and power GPS usage causing over heating.
Incase it matters i am using the Motorola P513 Car Charger (http://j.mp/cuOqWH) and the official car dock for the Incredible from Verizon.
That's definitely interesting. I wonder why they released something with that obvious of a fault. Major heat can't be good on the life of the battery.

I had problem with charging while using GPS and listening to Slacker but that was with this cheap charger I had. Once I used a higher quality charger (dont remember amps) it was able to charge and use GPS and Slacker at the same time no problems. It gets to about 115 degrees though. Battery says 140 is too hot so I figure its ok. If it fries....sending back under warranty.
It's definitely important to charge at 1 amp and not .5 or .75. I fried my battery to the point where it wouldn't hold a charge. Its worth the money for the right charger.

When you guys have the phone in the dock with the gps on are you leaving the screen on as well? If so that could be a big killer of the battery expecially if you have your brightness set way up.
I just got back from a long road trip (22 hours each way) and noticed the phone would get warm if i had the screen on so I could see the map but if I shut the screen off it would stay pretty cool while charging. It will still talk and let you know when you need to turn even if your screen is off. Maybe something for you to try?
Just throwing this out there because of the overheating issues but Proclip will be offering the Incredible package soon. Not only can it be positioned right in front of the A/C but it will come with a charging cable that can be ran to a 12v(?) source cable such as an after market stereo's power cable.
Sounds like, for me, I will be able to get a solid stable charge and have it in front of the A/C for cooling if I get that problem.
Again, just throwing out what I'm planning. I emailed proclip and they said early June for a release date!

Agreed. 9 times out of 10 when using a charger not meant for your device specifically, the charger has the wrong voltage and/or amperage or it doesn't communicate that the battery is full properly.
The wrong charger will either not work at all right away (best case), kill the battery slowly by overcharging it, or cause some immediate overheating issues through overcharging or improper charging (worst case).
tl;dr: buy your chargers from reputable places, specifically for your device! It's worth it!
I am still holding out hope that they will release the same type of car dock that nexus one has. That thing was almost perfect as far as car docks go. At least imo.

I drove from Mississippi to Florida and never had an issue. In fact, I listened to Pandora without a single interruption the entire way. Thats just awesome that Verizon's network had a data connection through rural parts of Mississippi and Alabama. Most of my trip was off the interstate.
FYI, I was using the rocket fish charger from Best Buy. It didn't have a proper dock, so my phone set in a cup holder. It never over heated but was slightly warm to the touch.

gummehbear, I have the same car charger and same problem as you. I tried looking online to see how many amps that charger puts out but I can't tell. So our phone needs a one amp charger?

sounds like what ever amperage it is, isn't enough. I have a verizon car charger in one car and one I bought at Radio Shack in the other and they both charge while phone is in use fine
As much as i would like to say its just the charger, i do believe it has something to do with the device trying to charge itself.
Yesterday I used the same setup as i did when i had the overheating issue, but this time i didnt have an issue. The difference was that the phone was at about 94% compared to the previous when it was at about 65%.
Yesterday the phone charged up to 100% before the overheating could become a problem.
I will continue to analyse it the more i use it, i am trying to figure out exactly what the factors are. So far from my experience i believe that if your device is charged up enough, you won't encounter this problem. It seems to be the charging event in conjunction with the GPS drain causing the battery to overheat.
I had the same issues on a trip to the Bay Area, up Highway 1 yesterday. The phone actually came up with a warning message that the charger I was using wasn't able to supply an adequate charge + power for GPS.
I purchased the Official car charger directly from Verizon and I have come across this issue. So the problem is within the phone, not the charger.

Is it hard to understand why its overheating?
I am having problems with my Nexus 4.
History, replaced screen after phone was knocked out of my hand, probably damaged battery while trying to remove it, but everything worked once it was back together.
Screen broke again, and while working on that, I noticed the battery had swollen so ordered a replacement of eBay.
All back together now, but.
1 Phone does not state "charging" when connected to AC or USB charging, although the battery icon has the lightning bolt in it and the %charge does not drop while messing with the phone.
2 Phone does charge using wireless, but slowly, and status swaps back and forth between charging and not charging and the % will move from e.g. 40% to 35% as it says charging or not charging.
3 USB works for connection to PC.
I charged the new battery overnight, wirelessly. It got to about 90%, so slow charging, but seems to work. Phone is usable, everything seems to work. I connected it to PC and was able to use Nexus Root Toolkit to backup, the reset the phone, no change in charging behavior.
Booting into safe mode made no difference either. So it seems it is not software/firmware/apps that are causing the problem?
I guess next step is to open it up again and remove and remake all connections and check contact posts? Should I order a third battery? Or a new motherboard?
I searched here, but could not find anyone with the same problem.

Opening and rechecking connections and coating with contact cleaner has made no difference.
Phone typically needs Volume Down and Power button pressed to get it to start, then Power Button to select start option, then seems to run okay.
Battery still not reaching 100% charged, generally 70-80% after a full night off, using wireless (my Nexus 5 charges happily on same charger).
Ordered a cheap battery from China, not really expecting that to be the problem, but no other clues or suggestions for now.

I have been facing quick drainage of my Nexus 4 battery since past few months. Recently I had been keeping it on charge almost the whole day, and a full charge would last only 2-3 hours! Further, the charging was taking a lot of time too.
Today, my phone had already switched off due to low battery when I put it on charger. After the white charging icon appeared for a few seconds, the phone wasn't charging at all. I have tried 4 different chargers, but to no avail.
Can someone help me? Is there a guide on how to change the battery?
Any help and urgent help appreciated!

It's possible some hardware was damaged when you took apart and put back together your phone. The USB board is a possibility, as is the back cover itself. These parts are pretty inexpensive, if you want to try buying a replacement, but that's just a shot in the dark.

Buy a new battery. Li-ion batteries are only good for a few hundred cycles or so (~500 cycles is the expected lifetime), and the N4 isn't exactly the best in battery life, so you can reach the point where your battery turns to crap within a year or so (or less).
Go to ifixit.com and look at the teardown. All you need to replace the battery is a T5 TORX driver (for the screws at the bottom), something thin and plastic (like a guitar pick or a plastic knife - they do make professional tools for this) to pry the back cover off, a tiny phillips screwdriver (like for eyeglasses) for the battery screws, and something to pry the old battery off of the adhesive holding it in. Double sided cellophane tape works fine for keeping the new battery in. When prying the cover off, go slowly. A little at a time, don't rush or force things. Or you might flex too much and crack the back glass. Don't forget to take out the SIM tray first.

Time for a new battery. See above.
My battery have started to swollen up a bit but not alot (around 1mm or less, but it is noticeable when not in a case, it can wiggle a bit from side to side but not alot at all).
I have already ordered a new battery if it is expanding more, but yet battery life is pretty good in standby but not getting more then 3hours of SOT. but since im mostly using the N4 for email's and texting its not a problem for me to get through a full day.
I'm having the exact same issue but I've never taken the phone apart. In the 20 minutes its been off charger it's dropped 11% screen off in my pocket. It also gets hot and shuts off.

That could be software/ROM related. It sounds like somethings keeping your phone going full blast instead of letting it idle.
Yup, trying going back to full stock (should always be first step if possible), and then you can go from there. If it doesn't happen, than it was a software issue, and if it still does than it is definitely a hardware issue. Best of luck.

With a swollen battery I strongly recommend you stop actively using the device. Swollen batteries can explode and that would not be good at all. I advise you to please not use the device anymore.

Third battery (original, suspect replacement, now China sourced replacement) has been working well, phone back together and preforming as new for the last few months
I have the Samsung official wireless charger that I got with my S7 Edge. Was using it on the S8 fine for a couple days when all of a sudden it won't charge to 100%. Day one it stopped at 84% and this morning it wouldn't go past 76%. The phone is pretty hot when I pick it up and the LED is lit yellow the whole time indicating it's being charged. Did a search on here and it seems like some people are having some problems with wireless charging but not exactly the same as me. Anyone else have this issue?

Now I do remember some of the Samsung ones from the S7 were able to support the "Quick Charging" function. Which was designed to get it super fast to "x" % then switch to normal charging. So its possible your issue is something related to this.
It's weird because it would just stop at a random number. Even taking it off and rebooting then recharging doesn't help.
I remember reading on the Chip Binning thread about some people talking about bad chip bins causing battery problems and you may wish to consider getting that exchanged.

Well last night it stopped at 87% so in half sleep rage I took off my case and had the bare phone on the charger. Later on it was at 100%. I also have my work keycard in the back of the case which I'm not sure if that makes a difference because I had it in the case of my V10 and S7 Edge and they were able to charge to 100% with the card and case between the phone no problem. The case is just a regular thin case from eBay. Also pretty strange that it would stop at a random number. Gonna do some more testing tonight.
I use a thin gell tpu case on mine, I have a Mikobox QI dock as well.
Now stuff behind the case, that "could" maybe mess with wireless charging. Never tried with stuff inside my case.
I have had this problem too. Wireless charging stopping at a certain percentage.
Worst this morning as I woke up to 8 hours on charge and it was only at 56% still saying it was wireless charging!

I'm using the samsung fast wireless charger that i bought from when i had my s6 edge+
I'm using a tpu case on the phone, works perfectly fine
fast charge doesn't work without the genuine samsung charger plug however
Had my regular rubber thin case on with the card inside last night and it charged to 100%. Really don't know what's going on here anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Try an old lower amp wall wart with the non Samsung wireless charging platform. You will not have fast charge, but it will go to 100 percent.
Same issue here. It used to work absolutely fine and got to 100% every evening. Now it stops around the same amount every night. 80% ish
I have only noticed this since the last OTA update and its a nightmare. The phone is super hot and showing as charging wirelessly but it isnt. One thing I did try was to let the phone cool down and turned off "fast" charging wireless. Only when the phone had cooled down did it start to tot up again.
I have also had the odd warning saying that it wont charge any further until the battery cools down, which makes me think this is a "safety feature" that was implemented with the latest OTA rather than a fault, but not all of the time. It seems the message will pop up and then go away quite quickly (probably as to read the message I am knocking the phone off the "sweet spot" that charges it, so it doesn't feel the need to show me the message anymore)
Try letting the phone cool and then put it back on and see if the numbers rise everyone and maybe we can workout together what the problem is. That's my thoughts so far s that the phone is charging fine, heats up too much, stops charging, cools down, starts charging again, heats up etc etc.
Guess the end result of the story is. The S8 doesnt like to be "Quick Charged" via QI pads with the higher volts.

but it isn't, because a lot of people have fast wireless charging working just fine?
Update on my last post. I have fast charging off and last night I popped it on the charger when going to bed. Woke up about 4am to use the little bits room and there it was stuck on 81% as usual and very warm. Took it off the charger and went back to sleep. Woke up again about 7:30 and the phone had cooled down so put it back on the charger. By 9:45 the phone was at 100%. Looks to me like it is a heating up issue on mine anyway.
I get the problem too, the wireless charge of the original s8 package and use the skin case, when the first charge only up to 84%, after being released and cooled for a while then in charge again can finally be 100%, the possibility of problems in excess heat due to wearing a skin case or indeed a problem from Wireless charger, I do not know yet

until now (about 2 months) im using allmost only Wireless charging (original samsung charger and cable)
untill today the Phone stop at 80% and its says that it still charging.. i took the phone of from the charger for about 30 second and put it back on charge and it charging ok...

I'm using the wireless charger from the starter kit. Wired charging is fine and takes about 1.5+ hours from 5% to 100%. With wireless charging, the estimate is usually 2.5 hours but it stops at 80+% after about that time. Charging continues if I remove the phone and place it back on the charging dock after a few seconds. Having a case doesn't seem to matter.
Just now, it finished charging wirelessly with the phone off. It went to 100% but took 3 hours. I did check after 2.5 hours and it was at 83%. I didn't remove the phone from the dock.
ok so i've had this phone since 20/04/17
it's been perfect charging, until this morning
was quite warm, and stuck at 83% - had been at that level for a couple of hours....
weird
i had fast wireless charging disabled in settings>advanced>accessories - yet when i put the phone back onto the charger it said 'fast wireless charging'
i enabled it, put it back on charger. fast wireless charging again..
disabled it again, put it back on charger.. still said fast wireless charging !!!
so i enabled it again, put it back on the charger, went back to sleep for an hour and then it was at 100%
will keep an eye on how it goes the next few days

did you disable fast wirelss charging in your settings menu?
my theory being that if that were disabled, but still somehow fast wireless charging, maybe the fan wasn't on but it was still fast charging = excess heat?
As the title says, Phone won't turn on. There are no led lights at all. It does get warm after being plugged in for a little. I had jrkruse's hybrid_bra1 stock safetynet samsungpay...... rom on it. It was rooted. Very minimal processes running. I actually had basically everything stopped and greenify on. Phone was around 40% battery. I plugged it into charger, took my dog outside, showered real fast, washed a few dishes, then came back in to room within 15 minutes to my phone being dead and hot. It's never got this hot before even while rooted and plugged in with this rom on it. I have never had it get that hot. Was just formatted the day before and really bare but, that is what happened.
A couple battery apps I had put the batteries remaining life capacity at around 60%. It held a charge poorly. Even for 60% capacity it felt weak, considering how little I did on it lately. I am thinking the battery may have took a crap but unsure because it warms up when it is plugged in. I plan on getting a battery soon since they are inexpensive and replace it to try it out.
Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this and can offer any advice.

You say your battery was already outworn, It may have died. I think you should try with a new battery, Or take it to a technician who can test the phone's hardware to see if there is anything else broken
i've only had one similar case with an s3, which would turn of at random % of battery. But when plugged turned on. I replaced the battery and it worked fine then

funny story....
The mic in my Nubia Red Magic broke and I sent that back to hong kong for repairs like 20 days ago. Before the Red Magic, I used this galaxy s7 edge my friend gave me. I gave it back when I got the Red Magic and told him to sell it or something. Not much later, decided to buy it back off of him for $200 to give to my mother. She loved it. I had the gs7 edge with me exploring prepaid provider options for my mom when the Red Magic mic broke. So then I decided to borrow the edge from her till my phone got back and few days later I break this one too..
I feel naked without a phone for so long haha

I have the same rom, with charging issues. I don't think its the rom causing it. The s7e are getting old and the batteries are taking a toll with the age. My phone will charge up to 81 at night and stay there. I get better results with wireless charging so i just top my phone off during the day with my wireless charger. There is a code to reset the battery's internal memory, if i find the link on how to do it I will post here for you.

Thanks for reply and alright let me know if you find out. My phone had no problem charging to 100% Its just the 100% on the status bar wasnt 100% of the 3600 capacity from wear. My friend's also does the same thing as yours except his he cant charge more than like 24% haha. He just uses it as a plugged in music player in car.... I am getting battery in the mail tomorrow and will see what I can do.

A little late, sorry. lol.
Thanks for suggestion, however, I may have worded my statement incorrectly. I meant to say that My phone would charge to 100% and the status bar displayed it as 100% but, the health and total capacity of the battery in mah was not the maximum 3600 or so due to simple wear and tare. It isn't apparent within any stock android feature however, battery monitoring apps like accubattery gather statistics after several charging sessions and estimate the current mah capacity. Mine was much lower than the default oem stated value of 3600. So my battery could be charged 100% but the 100% is really only 2400 mah lol. It was obvious either way by noticing that after my time using it and the previous owner's bad charging over night habits, that the battery was gradually needing charged more often lol..
I did read about the calibration method before when I was first looking into the battery issues. It seems it is more often done after a new battery is installed.
I screwed up a new battery install at the last second. I had to stop due the tiniest little round metal piece coming off from a very light swipe of my plastic spudger.
It was a very small wire connector piece. Unbelievably irritating. I didn't even finish because I doubt it would work properly. I beleive it is for the rf cable or something not sure. The red one on the left bottom side of the logicboard/motherboard whatever. There are three of them.
I took it apart and put it together a couple times prior to this and in a hurry it popped off and I couldnt find it. I couldnt find out the exact part name online so I could buy one and solder it back on. I did find a site/ supplier that has a plethora of them though. They are tiny coaxial connectors/pins. I didn't look through them all but there are 6,000 some listed under coaxial connectors (RF). https://www.digikey.com/products/en/connectors-interconnects/coaxial-connectors-rf/437?k=coaxial pin
I haven't gotten around to asking samsung or the digikeys support if they could help me find out which it is. They have different sizes and frequency ratings or speeds and such. The phone is packed away until I manage to figure out which pin to buy or if I pull 80$ or so out of my behind and buy a whole new motherboard logic board haha.
